Windows Media Player 11 cannot apply skins in Windows XP

I'm running Windows XP3 and today I improved my Media Player 9 to 11.

Now the skins that I had downloaded from microsoft does not work.

When I click on apply, the player does nothing... :-(

Please not that everything worked fine on v9 MP...

When you download you saved, and then double-click on?  (I got it to work in so doing ti.)  I also suggest to disable your anti-virus software during download. --

  • Windows Media Player 11 cannot apply downloaded skins

IM on Vista x 64 media player 11 and all skins Ive downloaded custom applies when I click apply. Just, the player sits on the skin selection screen and does nothing, the original skins work and downloaded skins working on media player from my fiancées 11 on his vista x 32. How can I make them work on my version?

    Hello Deshra,

I believe that the problem is that your system is 64-bit and the download do not specify whether 32-bit or 64-bit. Since it seems to work on 32 bits of your fiancée computer and not on a 64 bit machine it makes me believe that it would be the problem.

Search skins 64-bit download and see if it helps to have the skins.

Please answer and give us an update.

  • Windows Media Player 11 cannot find my CD burner

I can read all my music files, but Windows Media Player 11 can not find my cd burner.  I went through all the different files system and burner, shows and all show that it is correct.  He used to work, but I don't remember the last time that I used it.  I checked for new drivers and none have been found.  I'm at a stand still.  The only thing I have not tried is to remove the program and reinstall it.  It makes me a little nervous that's why I did not yet.  I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

  • Windows Media Player 11 cannot play a type of avi file. Lack of codec?

I received a file video avi.  Media Player 11 cannot play even if avi is an accepted file type.  The message said something about not having a codec, how can I get the codec for Media Player 11 will play the video.

There are many types of. AVI files... If yours goes
for an XviD file... you probably have the XviD codec.

This can be checked by using the free software GSpot:

    Download GSpot
    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm
    (left-click the text: "Download GSpot")
    (on the next screen...
    left click: 'Download [GSpot 2.70]')

You don't have to install it... just unzip the file and
    GSpot.exe left click to launch.

  • Windows media player will not apply changes to databases of media

Arrgh.  Windows media player has great potential but is so volatile.  I already reset the program and now I find I have to re - enter old info on the songs I copied analog.  the final problem is that it does not apply the information from the databases of media.  Looks like it's going to make the changes - but it doesn't.  Is there a way to reset the protocols for the application of media without resetting my together huge database.  hoping you can help.

What type of file in your music files (MP3, WMA, WAV...)?

To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

Usually, also, had to stop the WMP network sharing Service before you rebuild the library. Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If its status is started, double-click the service, and then click stop.

  • Windows Media Player 11 cannot show MP4 video but can hear the sound

Hi all, I prefer WMP on the other players, because he is able to play most of my MP4 without any lag. However, there are some MP4 files that do not show the Visual but audio is heard when I played against them on WMP. Interestingly, when the same MP4 files are played on other players, audio and video are very good. I take so that the files are ok, but may need to change the system or WMP.

Appreciate any advice. I'm on Windows XP and WMP ver 11.0.5721.5280. Thank you very much.

  • lost all windows 8 media player files cannot find them not in recycling

Window 8 lost all media player files and they are not in the trash.  Have reset computer far before losing the files.  Suggestions?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes for the media player or the computer before the show?
2 have the music files missing from the library of Windows Media Player (WMP) or their storage folder?
    3. are all of your files stored in the same folder?

If the file is "deleted from the library only", the real media file remains in its original location. Check settings (under options, tab drive) media player and check the boxes for "add local media files (or remote) to the library when played". Then navigate to the file and read it. WMP will add the file to your library.

    Method 1:
You can use the search option and type in *.mp3 (assuming that your files are in this format).

Windows will detect then all mp3 files. Note where is your music and then point Windows Media Player so that one or more specific records.

    Method 2:
Check the settings of the library in windows media player. Steps to follow:
    a. open Windows media player.
    b. click on organize.
    c. Select Options, select the Library tab.
    d. under updates automatic press for file information.
    e. Select only adds the missing information.

    Method 3:
Rebuild the media database and check if that helps. Follow these steps to rebuild the database:
    a. press the Windows key + R, and in the search box, type in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player
    b. remove the Media player folder.
    c. restart the computer, the Media player folder will be automatically recreated. Check whether the problem is resolved.

I hope this helps. If you have any other queries/issues related to Windows, write us and we will be happy to help you further.

  • Media Player 10 showing no skins

In Windows Media Player 10 is not opening / showing skins addon from microsoft.com or other sites. It is only to show the default built in skins. Any ideas?

Skin show I have to open the file itself (ZAF)

    Hi Jack,

To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

    1. what exactly happens when you try to open the skins of the add-on?

    2. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?

This behavior can occur if the skin is not compatible, if you are not the administrator user, or if the graphics drivers are not updated.

    Method 1:
Check if the skins are compatible with the edition of Windows Media Player you are using.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, make sure that you are logged on as administrator user.

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to download and install the latest version of the graphics driver on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  • Why some of my files music and video in the player Media Player 11 cannot be modified or disadvantaged advanced manually?

    Hello

I tried to organize my library in my media player 11. I'm running THAT XP Home 32 bit. How is it that some files when I try manually modify or advanced tag wrong or missing information such as the title, or artist, date... it allows me to make changes? I figured out by using the "find album info" and have had some success in the editing of these files, but it is a long and tedious task to do 100 + files.

    Hello

I suggest to see the link and try to click change instead of Advanced tag and check if it helps:
