Windows Media Player 11 cannot find my CD burner
I can read all my music files, but Windows Media Player 11 can not find my cd burner. I went through all the different files system and burner, shows and all show that it is correct. He used to work, but I don't remember the last time that I used it. I checked for new drivers and none have been found. I'm at a stand still. The only thing I have not tried is to remove the program and reinstall it. It makes me a little nervous that's why I did not yet. I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I have NO SOUND on my computer and the Windows Media Player error message is C00D11BA.
To try to solve the problem that I discovered in the Audio tab in sounds and Audio devices properties, there is No default unit in the area of audio playback and No default unit in the peripheral zone of MIDI playback. In addition, the general tab in the properties of the device Audio USB says "this device is working properly" and that it is enabled as described in the use of the device box. The general tab of the device Audio USB also said the "Driver is enabled and working properly."
I am able to record dictation through a program of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
I'm on Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3, and before that I lost sound had not recently added that any hardware or software even though I may have uninstalled some rarely used program.
Hello
The usual cause of the error C00D11BA is when the sound card drivers are not installed or outdated.
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device, such as a map his or her controller.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
To help you better with this problem I would like to answer a few questions.
(a) what is the format of the file you are trying to play?
(b) you are able to play the files on your hard drive?
In the meantime, you can try the methods below to see if the problem is resolved.
Method 1:
Make sure that the file type of the file that you are trying to play is supported by Windows Media Player. If this isn't the case, you can do a search using your favorite internet search
provider to find a player who is able to read the file.
The link below explains the types of files (formats) supported by Windows Media Player.
http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/9series/playererrors.aspx#c00d1199_0x00000000
Method 2:
You may also check if Windows media player support for the codec used to compress the file and you may need to install the right codecs to play the file. Please visit the link below to find out how to obtain, install, or update a codec:

- Press the Windows key + Q on your keyboard and type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under results of research.

Windows Media Player error on the MP3 it burned
I have read many responses to this question but have not yet found a solution. SITUATION: I make a list of songs [MP3] and make sure that it is a burn list. I keep pressing "start burn." Screen then pop in to say, ' Windows Media Player cannot burn some files. To investigate the problem, click on the icon next to the selection to burn the files. "After some research, I found the error icons in a list in the left panel under" blank CD (: D) "." I found that there are 3 songs with errors, all MP3s unprotected as the rest of the files. Could someone tell me please how to fix these songs so I can burn the entire CD?
P.S. The convenience store "not found etc and Burning CD" said there is no problem.
I also read that my computer may have lost a 'codec' (as I was already able to burn CDs without problem).
Thank you

You burn data (with mp3) disc or a disc of music?
If the first case, use this freeware instead of WMP:
If you expect WMP to transform files in a disc of music so I would convert it them before burning (there are converters free mp3 in WAV on the web).
Not a complete solution, but if I were you I would give up WMP to burn it ALL up and we CDBurner XP as its much more flexible.
If you remove a Codec, the easiest thing is to install one of the free Codec pack available on the net.
See you soon,.
