• I am connected to internet but windows says I'm not connected.

  My computer contracted a virus last year. I was able to delete, but since then I have problems connecting to the internet (wireless). When I turn it on or wake it up from sleep mode, I have to go through a terribly annoying process. It always says that I'm connected to my network, but on the top of the list of networks, he says always NOT connected. What I have to do is disconnect from the network, plug in again and repeat this process ranging from 2 to 6 times before I am logged in fact once again. No matter what I do, Windows says I am connected but not connected. This problem is not unique to the particular router or to the network that I use because this problem few matter where I go.   In your error message, the failed module shows as: nvCplUI.exe.
  It comes to NVIDIA Control Panel Application. You can go and disable this application and try again to connect to your iPhone.

  With the help of a clean boot helps you also find what program or software causing a conflict with the Windows Explorer and iPhone.

• I think I'm in my correct password, but windows says I'm not.

  It is your desktop windows 7.  I may enter an incorrect PW but do not.  There is a reason, it might reject a correct password.  I get the circle of rotation for 5-7 seconds then it says wrong password.  Any suggestions will be appreciated! If I reinstall my OS it will wipe my system?

  There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
  • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
  • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
  • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
  • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
  • Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
  • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
  Most people have spare admin account, same as they have a spare House key or a car. If you take any of the precautions above, then you can do this:
  1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.

  2. select Repair from the menu.

  3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.

  4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.

  5. set Windows to a point when you can always log on.
  If you do not have a recent backup of your files, then you can use the method below to get back them even if it is impossible to open a session. It will take time to implement, probably a lot more regular backups would have taken you. Start your computer with a boot CD Ubuntu then its GUI allows you to save your files on an external storage device.

  As you can see above, this update has been downloaded and installed suceesfully; but Windows XP 32 bit repeat me after the execution of Windows/Microsft Update it's still NOT installed yet!  He does this for my other laptop (Vista), but I upgraded to W7.

  Help! Last year, Internet Explore kept closing (Data Execution Prevention) so I switched to Firefox, which is great, but since then Windows media Player will not work. Moved this year on the campus of the University and since then (using the University proxy server) install windows updates is no longer. It's a new laptop me issued by the University last year, is come pre-programmed with Vista and Office, Media Direct and other programs, most of which I didn't use.  Technical support here at uni cant/wont help... can you?

  Take note of the results of the System File Checker.  Then after you run the two, run Windows Update.

  You are able to update of AVG?
  Any other antivirus (i.e. Norton, McAfee, etc.) has already been installed on this computer?
  When you say 'Nothing' that you tried to install?
  If you disable AVG and then run Windows Update you get a different outcome\error?

• 2 years without problems now windows says its not valid

  I hope that someone will be able to answer this one.  I bought my dell computer with windows vista on it in June of ' 07.  About 3 days ago he did an automatic update of windows and now it says that is not validated.  It's never happened before.  Now I can't go in the control panel to change anything, the window will not just open.  It is as I have more administrative rights on my computer when I have the only account on it.  Tried to do validation on www.microsoft.com/genuine .  Installed the files which it said you and it will still not validated.  If no one can help me with this it would be great.

• Windows says that my index finger does not work

  When you perform a search in Outlook, I get an error that it is always indexing.  I tried all the patches, but when I go in the options of indexing, it says index is not running.  The only option I have is advanced and there is the default settings.  This did nothing and I can not turn Indexing on the back.

  Outlook always has this problem or is it the first time that this has happened? We suggest you check to see if the Windows Search Service is running. Go to start > >(Classic View) Control Panel administrative tools > Services. Scroll down the list and make sure that Windows search is set to automatic. Open the service by double clicking on it, then choose automatic from the Startup Type. Once it is restarted, restart the machine for good measure. It may initially take a little while for Outlook to index if you have a lot of information in your e-mail software.

  You may encounter this error message when the Windows Installer files on the system are missing or damaged.
  You can resolve the error by using the methods mentioned below:
   
  Method 1: Start the Windows Installer service
