Windows seems to cut oneself during games

Last week I had the following problem with windows:

whenever I play a game, sometimes even watch videos youtube, windows puts muted it self without any particular reason. When I try to adjust the sound, it doesn't always work, but when I close the application sound running back. The other strange thing about this, is that this problem occurs when I use my laptop speakers (with a helmet, that is not the case)
I use windows 7 x 64

Hello

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
  2. Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest you try these methods and check the status of the issue.

Method 1:

Configure the computer to clean the start State and check the status of the issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem. Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service. After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

Method 2:

Run the patch from the following link and check the status of the issue.

No sound in Windows.

  • Jerky/black screen during games

All my games are going to a black screen and hangs during games, sometimes they just becomes extremely agitated, but always very unplayable. I've tried everything. Without a doubt make sure that the vents are clean and the fans are working properly.  This happens on any game or only some of them?  Windows 7, an upgrade or a new installation?  Did update you your video driver from the manufacturer website PC or video chipset manufacturer website?  If you have the video driver from the manufacturer of PC, you can check with the video chipset manufacturer site because they may have a driver more up-to-date.

    Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. What is the exact error message?

You can try to perform the clean boot on the calculation and check.
From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

    Hi sabkarthik,

    1. are you referring to the desktop background?

3 when was the last time it was working fine?

    Method 1

Change the wallpaper and desktop theme and check if it works.

  • Tabs in Firefox and windows seem to be related

When I open a new tab in Firefox, a new window also opens the new window seems to be the new tab, and when I close the new window, the new tab is closed. I would have rather than a Firefox window open with all the tabs and not several tabs and multiple windows, each for a tab.

When you open a new tab by pressing Ctrl + t on the keyboard or by clicking on the button '+' on the tab bar, Firefox should open the new tab at the end of the tab bar in the same window. If it opens by itself in a new window, this is definitely not normal.

For the button "+", Firefox may be misreading of the keyboard. In other words, it behaves as if the SHIFT key is down. Try typing the SHIFT key repeatedly to force Windows to re-read the State of the keys.

If you mean on the Windows task bar, there is a setting for this: you can turn off the display of the individual tabs it in the Options dialog box:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs

Uncheck the box 'Show glimpses of tab in the Windows task bar.

  • Windows 7 compatibility with the old game

I used the resolution of compatibility issues in Control Panel to install my old pc game (cake mania 2) it installs and the game plays fine until I have shut down the game and try to reopen it. The convenience store said detected incompatible application.

the programmer of the game say they're working on an upgrade to it. but do not know when it will be available.

What don't get me, is why he runs very well the first time. I can even uninstall. reinstall it with the convenience store and my saved game is still there, and the game works perfectly until I got close.

    I am confused? Any ideas?

    empony

    Hi empony,

When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

Download and install the Windows Cleanup utility to uninstall the game completely from the computer, and then start with a new facility.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

Once done with the uninstallation, you can install the game in Compatibility Mode and check if it works very well.

Access the link below to install the game in Compatibility Mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Also, make sure that you temporarily disable any Antivirus software on the computer.

Make sure that you enable the security software after the attempt.

  • Windows Defender keeps cutting

Earlier my laptop was infected by several Trojan virus. He had himself introduced mainly in - C:\Windows| System32 | Syshost file. Between AVG, and what was left of my Windows security operation, he never became a full blown virus. In any case, I'm tired of playing with it, so I reformatted.

One of the interesting features of this particular strain was that it disabled Defender and made it impossible to turn back. After reformatting, I activated quickly, ran anti-Malware, AVG, and everything I've been asked to do. The virus has been recognized and quarantined.
Everything worked very well. No evidence of a virus or malware and believe me, I'm just checking.
Today, I got the message that Windows Defender encountered an error (I forgot the number). I am once more unable to turn it on manually. When I try to get 'Windows Defender encountered an error' (#0x800106ba).
Everyone has no indication on the right markets, and in what order I should go?
    Thanx

    Hello

You had before AVG as defender arrested; and this time, too.

He had to be stopped by moy.

    Read this.

"Windows Defender is disabled automatically during installation"

    http://www.Avg.com/ww-en/FAQ.Num-2672

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Some information on Defender for you.

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:

Or the program Autoruns for FREE:

You must be an administrator, because the first account you create during Setup must be an administrator-level account.  There is also a built-in account (with a current name 'administrator'), but it is disabled, unless you are in Safe Mode (restart hold F8 for safe mode).  As soon as the integrated, you can sign in and upgrade your real account on a daily basis at the level of administrator control panel.

Note: even if you are an administrator, some processes will ask confirmation continue.  This is recommended because it prevents the virus of piracy of your profile and using your account.
