Windows Server 2003 operating system administrator password reset

A recent review of the servers at my work has revealed a number of servers that we do not know the admin password

for.  We have other admin connections that can continue to connect to the box, but I want to get these 'lost '.

Passwords rewritten/found/changed for the 'administrator' login will work as it should.  Which brings me

a fundamental question:

(1) because I have another pair of login/pswd admin, I can easily change the administrator password. The

It is - change the administrator password effect all services' that are on the server

using the "system account", to work properly?  I am not sure if the 'administrator' account is the same

the "system account" use the vast majority of services.

Thanks for the help.  J. Nelson

    Hello

You can now create the D: Disk Manager partition and run the installation while Windows is running. Just point the partition D: and after installing, you can start the just installed Windows and remove and recreate the C: partition.

  • Can I run RoboHelp 7 on Windows Server 2008 operating system?

Yes, I know that we are out of date, but not sure I can get to upgrade or not.

RoboHelp is not certified for use on any server operating system.

The license allows a single user on a client operating system, such as XP for RoboHelp 7. Not sure about Vista but it is not supported on Windows 7. It can work, and then you might find something broken. Your call on that.

    Hi James,

    Welcome to the forums.

You cannot use the 3.0.3 converter to convert a Windows 2008. You should use the 4.x Converter.

    It will be useful.

  • What support VMware Windows 7 as a guest host and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system operating system?

    People,

    Hello.

Because my laptop is preinstalled Windows 7 and cannot dual boot multiple operating systems. I need to install VMware in Windows 7 host and then install Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

I installed VMware Server 2.0.2 in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 operating system as a guest host. Everything works fine for a while. But VMware Server Home Page https://mylaptop:8333 / IU cannot display more.

I found that Windows 7 is not a host for VMware Server 2 and strange operating system might happen at any time. I found that 'VMware Player 3' is fully supported in Windows 7 as host operating system but is not taken in charge of Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

People knows what product VMware Windows 7 support as host operating system and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system prompted?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

IMHO, I think that Workstation is the vmware product just for you, the requirements

It supports Windows 7 as a facilitator and Windows 2003 as a host with no problems. You can be confident about it at 100%.

    > When I insert the CD, the "install Windows Server 2003" is disabled
What do you mean by people with disabilities?

You are not able to boot from the CD?

In these cases, please press the C button immediately after switching on the laptop. This should allow booting from the CD/DVD drive.
Alternatively, you can try to press the F12 key instead of the C key. This should allow the start menu. Then you could choose the STRANGE as boot device and might try to boot from the CD-ROM Server Win.

  • Satellite A200-1BJ: Windows Server 2003 need display driver

    Dear Sir.

A couple of days, I bought laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1BJ of Jarir Book Store, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
The system configuration is provided by the company.
Operating system: Windows Vista editions Home Premium
300 hard drive space is divided into two partitions:
    C - Vista with Go 138
D data disk seen 139 GK

I installed windows Server 2003 on the D drive. However, the hibernation and Eve features do not appear in the windows server 2003 OS. According to the Microsoft articale, these two functions becomes active only after the installation of the correct display drivers.

My computer is the "Mobility Radeon HD2600" display device. I search all over the internet and also interviewed via e-mail at ati.com (the manufacturer of this device). I could not the device driver compatible for Windows Server 2003. According to the ATI support staff, I need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop is Toshiba himself.

Can anyone provide me the site or the software driver for "Mobility Radeon HD2600.

    Hello

Are you looking for the drivers for Windows Server 2003?
Well, I think you will find all the drivers Win Server 2003 because this drivers don t exist.

Win Server 2003 operating system was designed based on windows XP.
So usually the drivers Win XP should work!

Furthermore, as you are probably aware that the Win Server 2003 operating system is not supported by Toshiba you need to search on sites of third 3rd ATI graphic driver.

Maybe a site www.omegadrivers.net might help you.

But note; 3 third party drivers can be installed ONLY at your own RISK! Why?
Because these drivers have not been tested and so no one can tell if the laptop will run stable and will work properly after installing these drivers.

  • Free virtualization software takes supported Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system?

    People,

Hello. I need to install the Windows 7 host virtualization software, and then install Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

VMware Workstation supports Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system, but it's not free download.

People know that supports virtualization software free Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system invited?

    Thanks in advance.

As I said in your previous post, VMWare Player is a free download and does not support Win7 as host and Win2k3 as a guest.  VMWare Player is also included with VMWare Workstation, you can imply that most of the time something that supports VMWare Workstation as a guest operating system is also a guests supported for the reader.

And unlike previous versions, player 3 includes the ability to create virtual machines base.  For many people, especially those who are starting just in virtualization, player is sufficient.

VMWare Workstation, although not free, can be installed as a 30 day trial.  After the trial, you can not start your virtual machines in my computer, but because the player is included in the installation, you can still run your virtual machines in the drive without having to uninstall anything.  So just install Workstation.  After the trial expires, if you wish that the advanced features of the workstation, then buy it.  If not, just continue to use the drive.

  • Resize Partition Windows Server 2003 comments operating system operating system

    Hello

I need to improve some of my Windows Server 2003 VMS to 2008 to take advantage of some new features, but due to constraints of size of drive when these 2003 VMs were created, they have very small OS partitions.  I can resize the disk located in the partition, but I wonder how can I resize the partition so that I'll have enough free space to upgrade in-place to Windows Server 2008.

I don't know there is a clever trick to do this with VMWare...

    Thank you in advance.

I also found using VMware Converter is the best solution and simpler if you have space just clone with great drive and connected with this or remove the old servers and it always works great.
