    Hello

In my view, that the P300 is equipped with the ability to drive HARD recovery. This means that you could restore the operating system of the image that is stored on the HARD drive.
To do this, you will need to power the laptop and must press the F8 key.

A start menu should appear, then you should choose the first option called fix my computer.
Then, you must choose the option called Toshiba HDD recover or something like that. It should be the last option.
This procedure helps you reinstall Vista again.
This facility could be that you can burn the own recovery disk using the preinstalled software called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

But if the recovery of HARD drive does not work you will need to use your orderly recovery DVDs and have to restore it again.
If the laptop will not properly work after using Recovery then DVDs I recommend to contact the ASP again and to explain the whole story.

    Good luck

    Hello:

I'm not sure that there is a 'one size fits all' answer to this problem, if you google the error.

The most common solution is to try to install the SATA driver.

Here is the link to the SATA drivers you need for your model. Download and extract to a usb flash drive.

First file listed is for 64-bit operating systems.

Use the Drive Options - Advanced method to install and then select the option load a driver.

If you check the box, only the compatible SATA driver is selected.

  • Windows Setup has not finished.

    Hello

I reinstall Windows XP on a Dell Dimension 4500 with a Dell Windows XP Pro SP3 recovery disk. I followed all the steps to reinstall. I deleted the old partition and installed chose NTFS quick format. The installation went fairly smooth until I got the Windows Setup screens. It had an error message saying that it could not install some files but installation suite. Then I got an error saying that it could not connect to the internet. After that, everything went find until it restarts. He was about to read the Windows XP welcome video until it froze. All that appeared was a white screen with the Windows logo in the upper left corner with an 'X' on it. So I let it sit for about 45 minutes, and then I turned off the computer and deleted from the drive. From the beginning it upward, I found that it created an administrator account and it lacks many things. Also, I can't connect to the internet.  Here is a list of what is missing:

    • Photos from account.
    • A few wallpapers (Bliss, Azul and all others on the theme nature wallpapers)
    • The internet connection wizard.
    • Windows Media Player
    • Outlook Express
    • Help & support
    • Start menu customization options.
    • Remote assistance.

Most of the drivers installed except a few including Ethernet controller.

What hurts? and how to fix it? Here are a few screenshots that might help.

It is an old system (with an old optical drive) and Windows XP has reached end of life 1 year ago, his insecurity and preferable to use only not etc etc. Assuming that you know this and to install Windows XP in any case.

The first problem you have is the optical drive cannot read all the files on the CD and it ignores certain files, probably the laser in the struggles of optical drive with files from certain angles. If you have a newer PC with an optical drive to best, install ImgBurn (make sure that you opt for a facility advanced opting to not install any unwanted preloaded toolbars...). Create a .iso CD image, and then use ImgBurn to burn this .iso to more than 3 CD image. When the installation files cannot be read on the CD instead of exchange for one of the copies to jump. The file will be in a different location on the CD and it will be able to copy the file.

The second question is you have devices connected to the system which may interfere with the installation of Windows. Its better to attach only keyboard, mouse and monitor. You had a brother printer attached...

The third point is that you have not installed all the system drivers... I recommend that you use the old version of WSUS offline update to download all the updates of Windows XP (on a new work computer from a USB flash drive) before you install the drivers for your system:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/WSUS-offline-update/obtaining-the-latest-service-packsbuilds-of-Internet-Explorer/patching-Windows-XP-fully-using-the-WSUS-offline-update/

You can then download the system from the Dell FTP site drivers drivers and downloads may not work for an XP machine (on a new work computer from a USB flash drive):

    http://downloads.Dell.com/published/pages/dimension-4500.html

You will need to install the drivers in the order, which is particularly critical for Windows XP works correctly:

  • Windows Setup could not configure windows to run on this hardware

I am trying to install Win 7 on a HP Pavilion dv6-7012tx laptop. He brings Win 7 by default. I installed win8 once. Now I can't reinstall win7 on laptop in May. He tried to install Windows 7, but when the computer restarts and tries to complete the installation, I get the following error: "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on hardware of Cet_Ordinateur."

    My laptop configuration:

By default the operating system: Win7

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 630 M

Hard disk: 640 GB (SATA II)

    RAM: 6 GB DDR3

    Hello:

If you use an ordinary W7 installation DVD and use no recovery disc, the most common cause of this error is the lack of SATA drivers.

Download and extract these files on a usb flash drive. First file listed is for W7 64 bit.

    https://downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&Keyword=Intel+Rapid+Storage+Technology+(Intel+RST) & lang = fra

Plug the flash drive into your laptop and start your installation of W7 DVD.

When you get to install it now click on that and click the option advanced player options.

Then choose load a driver.  You should now see all the sata on your USB drivers.

You can check a box and it will include the compatible sata driver to install.

Proceed from there, and I hope that will install W7.

Probably the installation media itself is corrupt. If your Alienware is preinstalled with Windows 7, then you should be able to reinstall using the recovery partition:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

To restore the image while preserving the data files:
    Turn off your computer.1.
Disconnect all devices connected to the computer (such as USB key, 2 printer and so forth) and remove any recently added hardware in-house. NOTE: Do not unplug the AC adapter cable.
    Turn on your ordinateur.3.
When the Alienware logo appears, press several times to access the 4. Advanced Boot Options window. NOTE: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.
    Select 5. Repair your computer.
Select 6. AlienRespawn and backup emergency in the System Recovery Options menu and follow the instructions on the screen. NOTE: The restore process may take an hour or more depending on the size of the data to be restored. NOTE: For more information on AlienRespawn, see article 353560 at support.Dell.com knowledge base.

If the recovery partition does not work:

Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

Step 2: Perform a custom installation, see Windows 7 section of the following article how to perform a custom installation:

    7. refer to the desktop and right click the reset.bat file, then choose "Run as Administrator".
    8. you will see a window of type BACK treatment.

NOTE: It may take several minutes, please be patient. When it is finished, you will be prompted with the message: "finished, press any key to continue."

If the same thing happens, move to the next step.

Run the upgrade by using the built-in Administrator

    ================================

    1. click the button start-> all programs-> Accessories.

    2. right click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".

    3. click on continue when user account control window appears.

4 copy the following command and press ENTER:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

5 restart the computer and then log on the computer of this administrator account.

    6. run the upgrade to windows 7.

Error code 0 x 80070005 usually indicates that you don't have enough privileges or the operation is blocked. I know, some programs (Boot Camp on a Mac PC, etc.) is not compatible with Windows 7, if you have installed these programs on the computer, you may not be able to perform the upgrade.  You should uninstall these programs before upgrading. In addition, such a question may be related to UAC, I recommend you turn off UAC in Windows Vista, if you have installed security software, try uninstalling the security application as well.

  • Windows Setup could not configure Windows on hardware of this computer Installation error on the new hard drive

Okay so if please bear with me and be patient.  I'm not tech savvy.  I know enough to be able to remove an old hard drive and put another one, but when there are errors, I don't know what to do.

    Here's the situation.

I have a Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 installed.  I started having these notifications that my hard drive could be a failure.  I tried everything that I could find to fix it without having to buy a new HARD drive without success.  The current system has a 1 TB Seagate hard drive.  I installed a memory additional bar thingie right after that I got the computer about 4 years ago.  (If someone tells me how to find the properties of real system, I post them if necessary).  Anyway, I bought a new WD 1 TB black disk hard to install before my old dies and loses all my photos and documents, etc...

I took the old drive yesterday and installed the new hard drive.  I put back the case and turned on the machine.  I put in my Windows 7 installation disc.  He began installing Windows 7... It's completely past the initial screen where it says it to load it and the other... I had accepted the license agreement, but did not have to make a profile and do the work and the reader.  I hope all this makes sense.  Then it pops up this message "installing Windows could not set up Windows on hardware on this computer."  I couldn't figure out what to do from there.  I got the new drive and put the old one back to and here I am. I tried to find solutions to this problem, but I either don't can't make heads or tails out of the responses on the internet or the solution is not exactly my problem.

Please help if you can!  And if you have any suggestions, please dumb them down so I can understand what to do.  I CAN do if loaded, you just have to not talk too irritable.  Laughing out loud

    Thank you in advance!

    Maybe not...

The Windows installation is not happy about something, and since it gets at least started which is a good thing, but your installation problem can not really be with Windows - perhaps something about Dell hardware or your 1 TB HARD drive.

I looked at your system and found this article that you can read to see if it sounds like your original question:

Windows Setup could not configure Windows on hardware on this computer.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN293812/en

Since Dell has written an article for help on this subject, it means they've met enough times to take the time to compose the article and put it on their WWW site (but, they say, it is a possible resolution).

Could you take the issue in the Dell online community where experts hang out (especially your amber light).

Another good place for support is www.bleepingcomputer.com where there is a similar topic as your question (except Vista) on a Dell and a new disk of 1 TB (also a Seagate) and Dell ideas did not work, but someone else has found a way to fix it:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/453378/installation-fails-to-complete-on-new-HDD/

The bleepingcomputer for your error message search reveals other areas and people who have got things to work in different ways, then it is perhaps another place to look for ideas.

If the installation still fails it would not hurt to do the BIOS setting and see if things are getting longer, and since you are going to write the current settings before proceeding with the adjustment you can always cancel the adjustment if things get worse.

  • Remove 'Windows Setup' to start upward

My upgrade Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 to Windows 7 Home Premium is not successful.  This created a "Windows Setup" when I start my PC and invites you to me re-install again.   I did several times without success.  So I decided to go back to my Windows Vista operating system.

Can someone tell me how to remove this "Windows Setup" when I start or restart my PC?.   If possible my Windows Visata will start automatically.

The start menu with EasyBCD by NeoSmart Technologies edition should solve your problem, it provides a graphical front-end to the BCDEdit Command line that makes it easy for you to set the boot settings and change the entries start on the new window manager.
