Flickering window Chrome after reboot

Earlier, I restarted my Mac (Yosemite 10.10.5) to install an update from Microsoft.   Apparently, the following was also installed yesterday: XProtectPlistConfigData: Versjon: 1.0 Source: Apple installation Date: 20.05.16, 18.56

Now, the window Chrome glitters more or less constantly. Every movement of the pointer, causes of scrolling or typed flicker followed by a pulse flashes (especially) on the upper part of the window Chrome.  It seems it s the same part of the window flashes white. ; then stops for a few seconds and start again.

The flickering occurs only in Chrome. (I run v.50.0.2661.102 (64-bit)) and did not entered the problem I've restarted my computer now, and never have any problems before.

As pr suggestions to solve a similar problem of Chrome-help; I disabled acceleration hardware, but without effect.

  • Windows 7 hangs after reboot (after "Sensor HP Mobile Data Protection" updated)

My Windows 7 Home Premium hangs (blue screen) to the 'Starting Windows' screen after reboot. And the reason for the rebate to zero (and crash) is updated to Windows "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" . I did hidden, but now I need to install drivers for my webcam and every time that I turn on "automatic driver installation" update of windows server, it installs not only the WebCam drivers, but also this «HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor» update Which brings me to the crash at the next restart of Windows. The only way is to return to the system restore point.

I use a laptop "HP Compaq 6715 b" . I had Vista prior to this (it was preinstalled with HP all the "stuff"), but after upgrade (reinstallation) of windows 7, upgrading from windows found all the drivers (and graphics and sound and even the biometric device drivers), but is now something wrong after every update "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" . Why? Or at least I can make him 'banned '?

  • Windows 10 install doesn't work not after reboot (works fine until the PC is rebooted).

It's bad enough. Upgrade to windows 10. Wanted to ensure that I started with a clean slate, so I have uninstalled FireFox, and then use the new edge of Windows browser to download the latest version of FireFox.

He moved very well, remembers my bookmarks and settings, etc. Everything seems fine.

But after a system restart, the FireFox icon on the desktop and the taskbar are just blank page icon, and when you try to run the program it says it cannot be found, or that I don't have permission to run it.

Let's not get too hung up on how the bad error message is (go, Windows, who is?), the problem is that a program that worked very well until I rebooted now is not found or all of a sudden, I don't have permission to run it?

The problem is if I try to boot from the desktop shortcut or if I go directly into C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox and double-click on Firefox.exe.

    I tried the things:

    1. check the properties of the installer to download stub (Firefox Setup Stub 40.0.3.exe). I noticed that it was reported as a program that had been downloaded on the Internet and could be 'blocked '. So I checked the 'Unlock' button Did an uninstall, and then run Setup again. Everything is fine. Restart - same problem.

    2. check the properties of the installer to download stub (Firefox Setup Stub 40.0.3.exe). I noticed that there are two weird entries 'unknown user' in the settings of security with a sort of GUID. I removed those two. Did an uninstall, and then run Setup again. Everything is fine. Restart - same problem.

    3. do you have an uninstall, and then run the installer as administrator (after making the above changes). Everything is fine. Restart - same problem.

    I'm out of ideas.

A diagnosis by a Microsoft technician during a support chat session!

If you want to do a clean install of FireFox on your Windows machine after upgrading to Windows 10, but you had FireFox installed on Windows 7 or Windows 8 before the upgrade, you must uninstall the TWO FireFox and install the service of Maintenance of Mozilla before performing cleaning.

If you uninstall FireFox but not the service of Maintenance of Mozilla, you will get the squirrels I described, where FireFox stops working after a reboot or a disconnection / connection.

I think this is related to the BS that Microsoft introduced with Windows 10 where, after installing FIreFox, if you click on the button that says that you want FireFox to be your default browser is not only to persist this setting directly. Need you to the configuration screen of Windows 10 for default programs, which is not at all intuitive, especially those based on past behavior.

I think that FireFox should put an explanatory text (on the page where you click on the button to make FireFox the default browser) which explains what Microsoft is up to.

  • Firefox will supports Windows XP after it's retired. Because Google Chrome says apparently it will be. I am happy using Firefox and curious. Thank you!

Wanted to know if Firefox supports Windows XP after it's retired.
Read on the internet that apparently Google Chrome will support it.
I don't like Google Chrome and will continue with Firefox but hoped they will support Windows XP.
If this is not the case, what kind of problems would I have?
I was told that I have a good virus program would be nice.
I have Avast which has worked well for me.

I'm not at a point where I can buy a new computer, or to afford to go to Windows 7, which is always being updated.

  • Updates to Windows Vista after a complete reformat

Hi, I reformatted recently my husband old laptop to give to my youngest daughter. Everything fine until I start the Windows updates. There are 93 of them altogether and looking at the dates there are 25 of 2007, about 30 in the rest of 2009 and 2008. I tried to make them all at once and more than half fail and I get a boot error after reboot that I end up having to repair with a restore point.

Then I tried to install all 2007 the and it worked fine until I installed updates in 2008 and I was back to the startup error. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Black screen after reboot XP

On my husbands computer all it can get after that restart is a black screen with the cursor showing, after it does appear the welcome with the blue bar of windows mobile screen.  The computer was working fine all day, he was doing research and everything froze, his slider when placed above the start button would show only an hourglass so that he could not restart normally must manually turn off the computer. After reboot, all he got was a black screen with the cursor showing, nothing else.  I tried to boot in safe mode and chose several options, but whenever he could bring up a black screen showing 'safe mode' in each of the corners of the screen and a set of numbers followed SP3 upstairs at the center of the screen, nothing else.   I couldn't do a system restore or anything whatever, and I suspect that the problem came from the last automatic update.  I see most of the questions on this help dealing with Vista, has anyone using XP Home figured out how to fix it yet.  It's almost 4:00 and I worked on this for the last 4 hours!

  • How to activate Windows XP after the installation of repair when you cannot connect to Normal startup.

I got XP Home SP2 OEM installed on an AMD machine and the power supply is dead.
I have a P4, I prefer to use in any case, I moved the hard drives of the AMD machine to machine P4.  Of course, XP wouldn't boot.
Without saving anything, I performed a repair installation (under the installer, not Recovery Console).
Everything seemed ok, but eventually, I restarted XP and a message box informed me that I could not connect until I had activated XP.
Unfortunately, I can not run the Activation Assistant because I can not connect.

I found that I could start the computer Safe Mode / command prompt and could then start Windows Explorer from the command line.
I followed some advice I found online: I extracted wpa.dbl drive OEM installation and copied in the folder Windows\System32 and rebooted.  Nothing apparently changed; "" I still couldn't log mode "normal".
I restarted mode safe mode / command prompt, began to Windows Explorer and installed XP SP3.

Now I can connect mode safe mode without network but cannot connect with networking.  Normal mode is not yet available.

When I try to start 'normally', the saying that I need to activate before I can connect message.  If I say 'Yes' to 'Activate now?', the background of the desktop appears (my own shows JPG) - but that's all.  The mouse cursor is there, but I have found no way to access all the features after it.

I need suggestions for possible patches that will avoid the need to reinstall completely.

Here is the response of Fracture, it worked for me:

    Help!

    Hi ad391970,

The reason for updates make changes on the computer would be some conflicting third-party programs or there might be a corruption in the Windows Update components.

I suggest that you try to install updates by disabling the third-party program conflict and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the step above does not resolve the issue updates suggest that you try to reset the component of windows update and check if it works.

Check out the link below to find out how to reset the windows component update

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you check in a new user account if you are faced with a similar question. If a face similar to a new user account which means your other user account has been corrupted.

See the link below for screw a corrupt user profile.

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile
