  When I'm in the mode 'All products' or "Building Driver Pack", "Show the last SoftPaqs" button is gray. How to enable this feature for SDM will show me the latest versions of the SoftPaqs for my selected models?

  

  In the modes of 'Building Driver Pack' and 'All products', you have the ability to check more than one model. Unfortunately, showing the latest version of a SoftPaq for more than one model is problematic because the same version of a SoftPaq maybe not the one which is responsible for all the models selected that makes the application unnecessary and ambiguous.

  Just think about it for a second. If we had a model (let's call ModelA) 5 years ago and another model who is only 1 year old (let's call ModelB) selected in SDM. Keep in mind that computer models of different years will probably have material differences that require different hardware drivers. Also note that this could be the case even if the models were of the same year. Furthermore, models most recent software qualification only goes back a number of years. It could very well be that the software can run on older models, but if HP do not qualify and test it, HP will not associate the new version of the SoftPaqs with older models.

  So, what does the request: "Show me the latest versions of SoftPaq for some models ModelA and ModelB" really means? We asked this exact question to various people and two completely DIFFERENT responses are returned. The answer seems to be influenced by the different needs of the Organization to which the respondents belonged to.

  For some, the answer was: ' show me the most recent SoftPaq who qualified for BOTH models. This is known as a query "AND". This query would only show what are the common SoftPaqs between ModelA and ModelB, but would show NO SoftPaqs, who were qualified for only one and not the other.  With this query, most of models that are selected, the lower number of SoftPaqs appears.

  But for other respondents, the answer was ' show me the lastest Softpaq is qualififed for EITHER model; which is a query "GOLD". This query would show all the SoftPaqs associated with each model. But it is not clear if each SoftPaq was qualified for ModelA, ModelB or for both. This request seems to be too broad, because the models have been selected, more likely it is that a SoftPaq would appear even if she wasn't qualified for a model on the list only.

  So, to illustrate this, imagine the following scenarios...

  Scenario 1

  We have three SoftPaqs. SoftPaq1 qualified for the ModelA and ModelB, SoftPaq2 is ONLY responsible for ModelA and SoftPaq3 is ONLY responsible for ModelB. What SoftPaqs should appear as the "last SoftPaq ModelA and ModelB"?

  Answer:

  Query AND: SoftPaq1 because it is "the latest version of a SoftPaq who qualified for BOTH models.

  GOLDEN request: SoftPaq2 and SoftPaq3 because everyone is "the latest version of a SoftPaq for at least one model.

  Scenario 2

  What happens if the SoftPaq3 did not exist?

  Answer:

  Query ANDoftPaq1 because it is "the latest version of a SoftPaq who qualified for BOTH models.

  OR queryoftPaq1 and SoftPaq2 because everyone is "the latest version of a SoftPaq for at least one model.

  Scenario 3

  What happens if the SoftPaq1 did not exist?

  Answer:

  AND query: No. SoftPaq is qualified for BOTH models

  GOLDEN request: SoftPaq2 and SoftPaq3 because everyone is "the latest version of a SoftPaq for at least one model.

  Add more models and SoftPaqs and results gets confusing real fast. Therefore, to avoid confusion, it was decided that the "View the last SoftPaqs" button would be disabled if more than one model was chosen because it is the only case where "See the last SoftPaqs" is not ambiguous. Thus, the "View the last SoftPaqs" button is available, if only a model (and OS and language) are selected.

  If you have several patterns that you manage, and you want to use the button "See the last SoftPaqs", please enjoy SDM configurations and save a configuration for each model. For more information on SDM configurations, please see using SDM.

  Everytime I type something in my language, I get my words highlighted in red and it is really annoying. I went looking for options to turn it off, the only thing I found was this setting in the screenshot that is grayed out, activated, and I can not turn off but it is grayed out.

  There is a link that says "go to your PC settings" and it goes to a tutorial that shows how to turn off the AutoCorrect and spell checking. However, this is for Windows 8.1 and these measures do not result in Windows 10. I tried searching for him everywhere and he just does not exist in Windows 10.

  Windows 7 does not come with an email program.  If you have installed one?

  Outlook Express works on Windows XP and earlier versions.  Windows Mail does work only on Windows Vista.

• 2 problems: cannot see the preview of the images in my files and can not see the name of my files in some of the views.

  Some time ago, when I went to my files using Windows Vista, I could already see the preview of the images in my folder. But now, all I see is either a glass with brushes (the MS Paint logo) for JPG images and a background painted with paint brushes on my BMP images. So, how to get back to see previews in my folder?

  I also have another problem: in a few other cases, I see that the name of the program or file when I have the view defined as tiles, details or list. But when I choose one of the views icon (or small icons, medium icons, large icons and Extra large icons) I don't see the name of the program or file.

  How can I solve these 2 problems?

  Start button > in the search box, type Folders options > view tab > ONE- always check "show icons, never thumbnails" > OK for the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

• Can not see the previews after the import of CR2 files

  This problem happened all of a sudden...

  When I import NEF for Nikon or canon raw cr2 files, I don't see the previews.

  The progress bar gets stuck on building smart surveys and I see a greyed out box.  When I choose an area spotted Gray and go into develop and then the preview is displayed and I can change the image.

  Sony A7R II files are not supported in Lightroom 5.

  You need at least version 6.1.1 or CC2015.1.1 to access these files: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  You can upgrade your program of Lightroom or Adobe DNG Converter allows you to convert raw files to DNG and import them into Lightroom.

  If you want this feature, you will need to uninstall the latest version & reinstall the old version of the Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distributiondrive.

• Prelude CC - analyze the content/history integration grayed out

  I'm excited to try the new integration of history, but the ability to use the embedded script is grayed out for me.  I don't have much experience with history, maybe if I put in place the file or the bad formatting:

  I created a new Film Script in history. (I do not see anywhere to create a script of transcript)

  I gave him a basic heading title.

  Courses in prelude, I opened this document in the history panel and he fell on the clip.

  When you click on analyze content, the window that appears does not give me the option of using the built-in script.  (See attachment)

  Any idea?  I hope just a user error.  Looking forward to use it.

  By the way... so excited by this new version - absolute favorite application in the suite and it has gotten a ton better.  Can't wait to try all the new features... Great job Wes and team...

  

  The script must be properly formatted in the history for this function to work.  I had difficulties to get a transcript (or any block of text) to be used in the analysis of speech.  Even if you use a text file from a transcript, it must be formatted in a model of Film Script with the appropriate formatting. If you already have a good script with the stars of the scene, characters and dialogue, you should be fine.  If you have a block of text (from the transcript, for example) you must follow these steps:

  1. History, create a new document as a movie Script by using the model of Film.
  2. You can clear the title page of the template that it creates for you.
  3. Give the document a scene heading (make sure it is formatted in scene section in the drop down for formatting) it will be used as title do you see for the prelude document.  It can be any description you want - it doesn't have to follow the conventions of scenarios. (IE INT-Office - DAY)
  4. Add a character name. (Once again, shaped as a character in the format drop-down list)  I use the name of the object of the interview for the transcripts.
  5. Paste the text of the transcript.
  6. Depending on where the cursor was when you pasted in it, the body of the transcript is perhaps already formatted as dialogue.  If this is not the case, select all and change to the dialog box in the drop-down list format.
  7. Record.
  8. As a prelude, open the Adobe Story Panel under the window menu.
  9. Connection.
  10. Click project, and then double-click the document that you created in the history.
  11. The name of the document (under stage) drag the clip that you want to associate the text to.  It will create a new badge icon to display the clip is linked to a script.
  12. Right-click on the clip and choose analyze content...
  13. If your script has been formatted correctly, you should be able to check the box "Use a built-in Adobe Story Script."
  14. Click OK and SOUL will process the file and add markers to the transcript of the speech to clip from the transcript of the story.
  15. Now, when you send the first, you can work with the clip using text - search, add in/out points using the word, etc.  Very powerful and useful.

  Of course, you can do all this without a script/transcription, but the quality of the transcription of the SOUL will vary widely by the audio file being used.

  You don't ever open the photo library - you use the browser to media at the bottom left of each window of download/tie/open under media ==> photos--> Photos

  When I use my desktop application to create an envelope to the special dimensions, after entering the size and process information, I click on properties of the file, the printer settings, so that I can create the same envelope of size here with the custom option.

• Photoshop CS3 10.0.1 - launch crashes on the registration screen, all grayed out menu items

  I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 10.0.1.

  At the launch, opens the window marked "Adobe Design Suite Premium CS3" - it is only filled with white and no text or graphics (I think that's usually the window asking me if I want to register, which always comes back when I run the program (rather annoying in itself).  However, it seems now that the launch is "interferes" in this window, like, even the program starts, all the menus are dimmed, and I can't open any files or anything.  Also, the above window has only the 'reduce' yellow button available at the top left, so I cannot close or otherwise get rid of it.  Since even the Quit function is grayed out, I have to leave the program with a force quit.  In addition, this same thing happens in my other CS3 programs (In Design) as well.

  I tried trashing the plist of photoshop (com.adobe.photoshop.plist) and also the file com.adobe.118.registration, which had no effect.

  Can any advice on how I fix?

  Go to the Photoshop preferences > 3D > check whether it shows VRAM than 3072 MB

  Look for the system updates and see if there are updates waiting for your graphics card drivers.

  And make sure that the document you are opening is in RGB and CMYK mode not.
