  The problem is with CyberDefender and was probably caused by an update to it. If Windows has a
  role the methods listed in the original message must fix however those can not solve a problem caused
  antivirus/security program. This has been proven by the appropriate return after upgrade repair
  to the program. Best re - contact the CyberDefender Support again.

I also downloaded AVG again. However, in the Security windows malware protection sectionoif, my protection antivirus says not compatible and shows that this "Antivir Solution Pro is still on but is its status as Windows Security Center in a format that is no longer supported". Defender scan shows pick up nothong. I tried to install AVG and it tells me to uninstall this program for optimal performance, but when I click on the button uninstall I can't find this Antivir anywhere in the list. I run the Microsoft Windows malicious software removal tool now. What can I do if not find something?

  I can not as up-to-date definitions for Defender. I tried to download them from the microsoft Web site, but I don't think it worked because I always get the message. Is this related?

  When it comes to antivirus software, you want one and only one installed and running on your computer.  Two or more may come into conflict with eachother and degrade performance.  I advise you to uninstall Windows defender and use soley mse.

  also I strongly suggest that you avoid using "PC optimization" tools.  They can help a little, but they often do more harm than good.

  * There, click on connect
  * In the field at the top, where it says "root\default", type root\SecurityCenter instead, and then click the button to connect.
  * At the bottom, click on the button "request... ".
  * In the query box, type: select * from AntivirusProduct and click on apply.
  * In there, select the entry with the guid {043803A3-4F86-4ef6-AFC5-F6E02A79969B} and click on remove below. Then close this window.
  * In the query box, type: select * from FirewallProduct and click on apply.
  * In there, select the entry with the guid {043803A3-4F86-4ef6-AFC5-F6E02A79969B} and click on remove below.

  This applies only to when you had installed Comodo. For other Antivirus and firewall, it will be a different guid.

  Windows Security Center is not a virus protection it's just simply a place to control and view the status of the installation of malware * protection software, but also the firewall on your computer.

  Windows Firewall is a separate component.

  Does Avast! Damaged, if I have another antivirus running program?

  It is not clear what might happen, but software may conflict with each other and may not work as expected.
