  • registration for the service is missing & windows update does not not in windows 7

I got the error "registration for the service is missing or corrupted" when I used the diagnostic download bits of one of your answers to someone else. I can't download the updates of windows from 08/10/16 - the latest downloads on 08/02/16. I did a full scan with McAfee & there is no problem in that. Given that the system sought & found these updates 08/10/16, the fan noise has served continuously as in a loop. I managed to stop that noise will 'services.msc', choose 'windows update', by selecting Properties & stop. If I start it again, it seems to go on and on but updates still do not download. I have Windows 7 Home Premium on a laptop. Can you help me?

  • Is possible let activate domain multi UCS VM - FEX and sign up for the same vCenter

    Hi Experts,

We have 7 domain UCS. But only a vCenter. Now, we want to enable VM - FEX on each UCS area and sign up for the same vCenter. Is - it work? I have found no description limit configuration on this relationship.

Or we create 7 vCenter for each UCS area? (But I think it's not sense.)

    Best regards
    Meng-Yuan Hsieh (Nick)

    Hi Moua!

I open a TAC case on that, and after that many discussions with Cisco, connecting several areas a single vCenter UCS is supported.  However, it turns out that Cisco failed to document this and how to make it work.  You will find that the procedures were written in old documentation for VN-LINK and others for VM - FEX.  This documentation shows that it is necessary to create new certificates, and it must match the key to expansion.  This is NOT true nor with the new versions of UCSM and vCenter.  Cisco, said they will update their documentation.

Here are the steps that we took to connect two UCS areas for the same vCenter using default self-signed certificates.  I hope this helps...  Please mark this message as the right answer when you get a chance.  Thank you!!

    vCenter Version: 5.5

    UCSM Version: 2.2(5a)

    1. On the VM in UCS Manager tab, click VMware.
    2. Set up a key of the unique extension for every area of UCS.
    3. Click on "Configure VMware integration" on each area of UCS and export expansion of local storage.
    4. Install each UCS domain extensions in vCenter.
    5. After you install the extensions, back to UCSM and click Next where you left off in configure integration with VMware
    6. Run the wizard and after that it's over, areas of the UCS should now be connected to the vCenter.

Specific error Windows Update Automatic troubleshooting managed, but questions persist.

    Troubleshooting report detection details:

    RootCause: RC_DataStore
    Error code: 0 x 80070057

Here's what worked for me and probably you need to do:

Open a command prompt (press the windows key, type made cmd right click the application and run as administrator)

Each of these commands will take a long time, but feel free to use your system as usual while they are running.

Run the command sfc / scannow

No matter what corruption is detected / without being detected, fixed / not fixed - make sure that you are connected to the internet and immediately run the following commands one after the other:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

You can retest the initial problem at this point, but I recommend to proceed directly to the final stage. Insert your windows installation media. Do not run anything in the media, but make sure that it is accessible, and run the online image repair command replaces all that follows "Source:" with the location of your media. If you use a disk, for example, and the disc is titled "D:" then replace "C: \test" etc. with "D:" and run the command:

    Dism /Image:C:\offline /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:c:\test\mount\windows

If you use a disk in drive D:, the command will look like this:

    DISM/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth / Source: D Image:C:\offline:

After repairing your image, run the automatic troubleshooter for windows update again, and check for updates.

After you complete these steps, I was able to install all updates, including those that have previously failed. I really hope this helps and sincerely apologize if it is not.

I'm not a software engineer, computer SCIENTIST, technical support specialist or an employee of Microsoft, but this is what worked for me, after a lot of troubleshooting.

  • The Microsoft/Windows Update errors and updates failed.

I just had to make YET ANOTHER Destructive full restore my win Vista PC, regular and continuous errors and problems caused by who knows what and the fact that the system restore never worked once in 10 years of friggin! My PC tries to run Win' Vista (SP2) and all the new updates that are applied after SP2. I also run Norton Internet Security (fully updated). I would like to re - install Office 2007 again once more, but I'm reluctant to until I get an answer to the following problem, because whenever I have re-installed Office 2007 I get Office update errors as well. I do not yet have enough away with this recovery to even think about re - install "other apps" again. My problem is that a heck of a lot more than several updates that were 'available' over time since I bought this pc (which didn't even have SP1 on it when I bought it new), do not have more than several times. Finally, it seems that these updates failed stop appearing as 'available '. Currently failed updates are: IMPORTANT: KB974468; KB2729449; KB2742595; RECOMMENDED: Windows Live Essentails 2001. OPTIONAL: Bing Office 1.3.1. also failed (the current version is 1.3.3...).

My concern about all these multiple failed updates is that if these updates ARE important, whereas they should, and at the very least, not failed to install the first time which must be installed with success the next time. There are at least 40 + other these updates on my pc (of all types) who failed the first time, but succeeded (according to Windows Update), the second time. After doing a search and try to install these updates above manually from the Microsoft Download Center, I got a response that these updates "are not" or "are blocked by another condition on my computer. What 'State' is probably I wonder? Makes me think anyone or whatever decide an update IS important for a particular system is wrong either (and the update is NOT important at all) and so it does not yet appear in the list of "update available", or it IS important and there is another unknown or error "NO that does NOT exist. preventing the update to be applied. I say no because maybe this unknown error also cites a number of error that is not found by the completely useless online "windows help and support!

If an update is NOT or is no LONGER available, then why hell is he always recommended! ??? In all cases, "Windows Live Essentials 2011" settles, and looking for 'help' by selecting "get help with this error" I am taken to the "windows help and support" line (which doesn't help at all). That's because this 'aid' shows only 26 'results' and NONE of them include error numbers (800706... and two instances of 66A) city. ANY help will be VERY much appreciated (epecially on the part of MVP, who have been a great help in the past) cordially Andy Bob :) :) :) :)

    Let's start from the beginning.

Lets first see what happened with your drive.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

For warnings about disk problems detected during normal operations and automatic repairs by Windows at the time where the problems were discovered.

WMIC /append:"%userprofile%\desktop\DiskEvents.html" PATH Win32_NTLogEvent where (sourcename = "NTFS" or Sourcename = 'Disc') to / format: HForm

Then to view the created file.

    Then to test the equipment.

In Vista and later if SMART failure predicted Windows prompts the user to run the backup.

    Run chkdsk
In computer all your drives right click and choose Properties, then the Tools tab, and then click check now. Check the TWO boxes and then start. Reset. This will take from one day to the next.

There are often false positives for small text files that Windows uses like settings.ini and desktop.ini. Ignore these.

You say that you have had continuous problems. But if you want to jump the gun to fire a bit.

    More details about the error

To decode 0 x 80070002. X 0 means that it is a hexadecimal number, 8 , error, the first 7 means it a windows error and the rest of Eastern 2, the number, the Windows error.

To search for the error message we need to decimal format. Start the Calculator (Start - All Programs - Accessories - calculator) and choose the menu display - scientific, then the menu display - Hex. Enter 2 Menu display - decimal. It will say 2.

Start an command prompt (Start - All Programs - Accessories - command prompt) and type

    net helpmsg 2

    and it will say

The system cannot find the specified file.

Use Notepad to search for FATAL and and the specific error code (for example, 80070002) in C:\Windows\Windowsupdate.log.

Windows errors (smallish numbers) and COM HRESULT values (in general, but with exceptions, start with an 8 as 0 x 80040154) are defined in WinError.h, except 8007nnnn where you are looking for the error Window number it contains.

As a general rule, Windows errors are less than 65 535 (0xFFFF). Errors from 0 x 80000001 are HResults Component Object Model (COM). Errors from 0 xC0000001 NTStatus results.

NTStatus errors (usually, but not always to start with a C as 0xC0000022) are defined in NTStatus.h.

the .h files are the best source because it includes the symbolic name of the error that can give clues such as the source of the error
. FormatMessage does not have the symbolic name as the description.

You get these files by downloading the kit of Development Platform (that's gigabytes)

If you just want the two files I have them on my skydrive so I can reference anywhere I want.

  • I get the error code 646 with Windows Update KB976321 and KB980470, I searched the forums and tried a number of bugs without success.

I tried all the suggestions here:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistawu/thread/5ba765e1-5771-4fb9-949f-31dd13ceb1d5?Prof=required

I have reset the components windows update manually from the link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

I tried to install the updates manually after putting the computer in a clean boot.

I tried to download and install the updates manually, but these two updates must be installed through Microsoft update and Microsoft update gives me error 646.

I am slot as Vista Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 2.

New or different suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Tony.

Microsoft support advised me to temporarily disable (UAC) user account control.

Which has worked and updates installed normally.

    Tony.

  • help with windows update errors and chkdsk

I got a message saying I needed to update my windows.  I went to windows update, the express settled.  I received a message that says that I can't install the update to windows.  This is the message I received:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. Take the following steps to try to resolve the problem:

    • Refresh the page.
    • In Internet Explorer, delete the temporary Internet files by going to the Tools menu and then Internet Options.
    • Close and then reopen Internet Explorer.

Then I'm defragmenting my "C" drive and I get an error with the States: Please run chkdsk /f.  I run that, once it goes through the whole process, I will return to defragment and I STILL get the same message.  I don't know how to clear these while I am able to update and to defragment my system.

    Thank you for your help

I have exactly the same problem as you cyclingchris.  I spent hours with no result.  Ready to throw this old laptop XP and upgrade, but it still works for what I need to.  Please report if find you a solution.  I tried pretty much everything recommended with no luck.

    Hello

    Hide updates and check:

Note: You must be logged in as an administrator or have an administrator password to do so.

    (a) click the Start button, click all programs, and select Windows update.

    (b) select updates Important or optional and verification of the list of available updates: KB2604092, KB2656369 and KB 2656369

    (c) place your mouse on each update you want to hide, and then right-click on it and choose 'hide'. Follow the same to hide some other updates, providing several times after successful installation.

    It will be useful.
