  • Windows 7-64 update search never ends

    This morning I had many Windows updates for my computer laptop 64 bit Windows 7.  My Internet Explorer runs slowly despite a fast enough connection (33 MB/s).

    Later, when I open the control panel and select "check for updates" it just kept looking.  To try to solve this problem, I followed a 'solution '.

    {I think it was from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058 }

    that had me open CMD as administrator and enter several lines of instructions; While the system was a "xcopy" routine I apparently did not select the right 'F' or 'A' and some of everything that was happening apparently is a not proceed correctly.

    I did a restore of the system at 13/07/16 and then Windows Update says "Windows is up to date" and "no updates available".   It is dated 07/13/16 when, this morning, he said that I had many things to install.  This does not look good.  I think I should have added my problems at this stage.

    I then tried a troubleshooting Windows Update tool

    (WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab)

    and he ran a time saying everything has been repaired, but when ran again, he said that "The recent updates installation problems" was NOT FIXED.

    My research on Windows Update still going and I need help getting this corrected.
