Windows Update makes my Word 2007 not operable

Last night, I was working in a Word 2007 document information transfer to another program from him. The detected Windows icon appeared in my taskbar. I does not pay attention to the icon of update of Windows and in about a minute or two my screen erased and then in a phase 3 update of Windows. When the updated, the Word document is returned to the screen. The program was closed as I was transferring information by Windows I assume that the work has been lost. Anyway now when I open my Word 2007 I get a program not responding do not error. I have the installation for Office CD, but I don't know if that will fix the problem as it will be the same word that no longer works. I really think that Microsoft should not perform these updates in this way because he would have been the same if I had steeped in my PC and left the open note. Everyone should have the last word when their computer is being updated. After all, it's a mine not Microsoft or any other software company. I lost a lot of work and I do not have a program of orocessing of words. You can not get a response from Microsoft without a product ID. It is not just great for trying to get into a program they made trash and will not open. Someone at - it solutions that they can suggest to solve my problem.

Hello Jim Morecraft,.

Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

I understand your frustration regarding this issue; I will do my best to put your PC to work again. Since the issue you described in your post, said after Windows update, I would recommend that we start with the help of the System Restore tool to restore the computer to an earlier point in time before this problem started. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, type System Restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

2. in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click on Next.

3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

4. click on finish.

5. the computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

Second, you can configure Windows update to where you decide whether to perform the update or not.

If it is a problem of update, the best way to solve this problem is to apply only updates one at a time to determine which updates is causing this problem.

Click on Start -> all programs -> Windows Update, click change settings in the left menu. Select download updates but let me choose whether to install them, click OK. When you are alerted to install a new update, this window, click on view available updates, uncheck all updates and select one at a time, install it, restart your computer, test and update. Once you find the update either continue to ignore it, or look for it at http://support.microsoft.com/

You can also post back with update KB number, you are having problems with.

If please reply and let us know if your problem is resolved or if you need further assistance.

All the best...!

I recently added a new hard drive for my computer and installed the XP operating system on this disk. I start now to make the drive and everything seems to work OK except when I get the notice that updates (KB2443105 and KB979687) are ready to be installed on my computer. Whenever I see this review and try to allow installation of update, I get a notice on the screen of installation which updates failed. Someone has encountered this situation and is there a solution?

    Hi buckeyeut,

    Try the following:

Method 1: Locate the installation error code.

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. click Start, click all programsand then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    b. on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site, click view update history. A window opens that displays the updates that have been installed or that have failed to install on the computer.

    (c) in the State of this window column, find the update failed to install and then click on the red X. A new window opens that displays the installation error code.

    d. Note the error number. You will have to type or paste the error number in a search box to the next step.

Method 2: Reset the update Windows components, and then install the updates. Visit the following link and click on Fixit.

As I suggested previously, conversion to a format like

You can see the files in the "Multimedia content" pane

    Hi Pops1148,

    ·         Is the question not confined with updated Microsoft Office?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: You can follow the steps in the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and check if it works.

Troubleshooting Windows Update or Microsoft Update when you are repeatedly offered an update

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/910339

Method 2: Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    a. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

    b. right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click run as administrator.

    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    d. at the command prompt, the following line and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

Method 3: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    OT: Windows Update failure 8.

I recently re-installed Windows 8 using an old product key once I updated my PC using Windows 7 due to failure to boot Windows Technical Preview. Windows Update error 0 x 80070490 (2014-02-10-t-11_25_11A) - fixed

I have been through ALL the steps as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949358. I have had no success.
One thing that bothers me, is in the configuration of the system, I have a service called true vector Internet Monitor (Zone Alarm) and when the value disable as in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135, it is the only service still running when you perform a clean restart. I don't know if this affects the Automatic Updates/configuration or not.

    Hello

Thanks for trying to help. Now my computer seems to be up-to-date.
I followed your steps but MicrosoftFixit50202.msi did not like "my OS is incompatible. I use windows 8.  I couldn't run this in default or aggressive.
I did go in Control Panel and disable antivirus and firewall Zone Alarm and reset Windows defender by default.
I did IE default web browser I have prob changed when I got to the computer.
I then returned to set up a clean boot and this time I managed to disable the true vector Internet Monitor (Zone Alarm) to run.
I ran the reset troubleshooting of Windows with the same result as before is to say:
Recent updates - not fixed installation problems
Search for missing or corrupted - files detected
I think I have restarted my computer at this stage and then tried to update again.
It has not yet, but with the error, I got an error code and a link to help. I don't have not noticed this before. I followed the help and ran about 5 command prompts that have to do with the renaming of files I think.
Then I tried updating again and this time 38 45 updates succeeded. I then ran the update again and it seemed to work on the other 7 updates.
Although Windows Update said I was now updated, I was skeptical as when this whole thing started is started when I got the "windows installs updates" and then "failed to configure updates. Returning... etc"then I restarted my computer. At the start, there was no message on try to configure the updates, then, how do I know they are configured and working as it should?
    Thank you.

When video files are imported into Freemake,
On the left, click the WMV icon at the bottom of the screen.

The 'WMV output settings' screen opens.

Choose a folder ' save in ', so you can find the

On the left, click the "Convert" button and wait for the files
