Windows Update - no updates for a while

Hello

I have a laptop HP Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.  I have not received a single Windows Update since November 19!

Were there problems with Windows Update?  I can't believe that there has been no update for this long.

Thank you

  • How to run Windows update for Win XP SP3 using Firefox

My desktop PC computer running windows XP with SP3. My spouse uses IE 8 for its browser. I use Firefox Version 24. for my browser. Previously, whenever we ran MS or Windows update it starts IE and works very well. IE 8 blew up and does more (execution errors). I tried to go to the site to update Windows using Firefox and he came back and told me that I had to use IE to launch Win update on an XP system. Is this true? I don't want to use IE at all. Is it possible to use Firefox to run Windows or MS update on my Win XP system? Thank you.

You cannot run windows update using Firefox because it uses controls ActiveX Firefox is not (and will never). Yes, then unfortunately use IE for Windows update.

  • 8625 all-in-One: 10 Windows updates for null printer and fax for settles not 8620

We have four machines Windows 10 using our 8625 all-in-in-one on the network.  Only used the installation CD.  The machine stops of if a 8620 update for printer Null and Null fax microsoft who do not always with 0x802200b and 0 x 80070790 respectively.  Otherwise, everything works normally.  These updates can be removed somehow?

Welcome to the HP community @rball007,

I understand a computer running Windows 10, which had the printer installed using a Setup disk, now knows the pop ups. My best advice would be to uninstall the printer completely from a PC, the HP printer install wizard for Windows instead, to ensure that the most current drivers for Windows 10 are installed.

    Good luck

  • Problems with Windows Update for Windows Live Essentials 2011 (KB2434419)

Yesterday, I noticed that there is an update available for my Vista and Windows 7 computers.  I started to perform the update.  About halfway through, the update hung.  I noticed a secondary window jumps to the top.  Using the secondary window, I was able to complete the update.

The first update window continued to be hung.  I restarted the computer.  After the re-start, I have re-opened Windows Update and went to look at the history of the update.

  • How can I remove a Windows Update for ATI Technologies

    Hi all

In the updates of Windows, I got an important update for ATI Technologies,

ATI Radeon Express 200 Series, also 38 optional language packs.

Whenever I have install the ATI update, it translates into no monitor works, just a white screen telling me to screen may not display, I have to then go and do a System Restore every time. Now I turned off auto-update and I then Unytick the checkbox for this ATI update.

Is their all to remove this update and the updates for optional interrupt this language or those ever appearing in the windows updates again. I of course wrote to ATI Technologies, but they are not like with Microsoft, so I let myself in your hands for a solution.

A big thank you to all those who can help you

  • Windows Update for Vista (KB2286198) _

Everything from the lates Windows Update has been installeded for Vista (KB2286198)

I was not able to use my card to air with the Cradlepoint router.  The computer can see the router but only connect with local and non-local and internet access.  If I plug the modem from Verizon in the computer USB it will not work.  I have uninstall-ed the update and it works again with the Cradlepoint wireless modem.  Then, the update automatically installs again and I have the same problem.  What can I do to fix this?

First, uninstall again and then search for updates and it should appear.  Right-click on it to hide, and it will not be downloaded or installed or appear again (but you can still get in case of need if she and him to download and install-, but I wouldn't do that).  You will need to put it to manual and not automatic selection to do this.  So, try the following:

Try to download and install manually by download on your desktop and install them one by one. Insert the number of KB to get updates on the right and choose the one corresponding to your version of Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and disable your security software.  See if the installation works. However, once don't forget to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If that does not work, uninstall it again.

Also read and execute the steps ofhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058.

If this does not help, please transfer your question in Forum Windows Update:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/threads where updates experts will be happy to help you.  Please post with the information requested here:what to post in the Windows Update forum

    I hope this helps.
