  1. open run it and type services.msc, and then press ENTER.

  3. check that the status is started. If the condition column is blank, right-click on the service and select start.

• Configuration of the windows updates failed; returning from the changes

  Issue started after an automatic update. I was on a flight and had to put the laptop, so I just closed the lid to sleep there.

  If you want to downgrade to Windows 7, you'll first need to check if the manufacturer of your computer offer native Windows 7 drivers, otherwise you will need to think back to the computer and buy one with Windows 8 Pro to give you downgrade rights, buy a computer with Windows 7 installed (HP is running one day 4 for example on Windows 7 computers portable and desktop computers) , or learn to live with Windows 8. As to your question, try to run an automatic repair, or a refreshment resets the advanced form options. You don't mention your computer so I can not tell you how to access these services. See the manual of your computer or your computer factory support to find out how to access these functions.   • Corrupt Windows Update components.
  • Conflict between third-party applications or external devices.

  Note If this occurs, it may take 30 minutes to undo changes, and then the system will display the Windows login screen.
