Hey Bireshwari
a vista recovery disc you already have is one of the ways that you normally use on a preinstalled vista machine to reinstall
you start from the recovery disk
to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start
It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu
Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order
If this is not the good disk read this information below
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a microsoft dvd vista
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

Hello HP community!
I recently got a HP Compaq d530 SFF of the company, where I had my work experience.
Fortunately, I took their offer and took the PC at home, everything was going well until I bought myself some new DIMM from ebuyer.com.
I again for a fact, the computer must DDR 333 MHz, PC2700 and it must be in DIMM format, so I went and bought 3x1Go modules. A few days later they arrived and I have them inserted in the computer, ensuring that two DIMMs was in blue locations and others (I wanted to keep a 256 MB module to) in the black sites.
I have re-inserted power cable and tried to boot the PC, he showed me a BIOS message, showing that the amount of memory has changed, since the last boot. Once the configuration is presented, he acknowledged only the 256 MB module. I then turned off the computer, and then remove the 256 MB module, to see what would happen. So, I restarted the PC, and it gave me an error (not shown) tone. To which I then tried (needles) each DIMM different to see if one of them was vice. They are all gave me the same error tone. Since then, I've been running Windows Vista Home Premium, with 1 GB (4x256MB DIMM).
Maybe someone has a suggestion how to fix this?
I've already updated the version of the BIOS at 02.44 (later I could find).
Thanks in advance!
Yours sincerely Simon Cahill
Beatsleigher,
Not all memory is the same, even when picking PC2700. Did you buy non ECC?
Here is a guide on the configuration of the memory for the D530SSF

Can I get a restore CD from HP for my Windows Vista Home Edition?
My hard drive crashed. It is in a Compaq Presario SR2150NX PC running Windows Vista Home Edition,
that was pre-installed. I do not have the installation diskettes; but I do not have the sticker
always on the side of the computer that has the product key. The player does not even start.
It is quite dead. If I buy a new hard drive and install in the machine, will I be able
to get a disk of software to replace Microsoft or HP for Vista Home operation
No fees + port, of course, since it is a genuine copy of Vista system? I still have
have purchase receipts original for computer, indicating the serial number, etc..
Sorry, I'm not computer savvy and don't know how everything works. I would of course
Appreciate any help in recovering my Vista. The error I get on my screen that says: "Reboot and".
Select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key"Frank post replacing > you can order a disk recovery for $27 the value of ComputerSurgeons.com .

Windows Vista Home Premium update problem step 3 of 3-100% complete
My Windows Vista Home Premium began the automatic update, reached the point of view "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3-100% complete.". Do not turn off your computer. »
Now he's just running for hours with this screen showing...
I can't say if this update will end finally alone, or if there is a problem and I should just reboot.
How long should I wait before abandoning me and shut down the computer?
Thank you.
Hi JIB1955,
Thank you for visiting the forums of answers.microsoft.com.
It's been a while, we can think that the update is stuck and will not continue any further. You can press Ctrl, Alt & Del and open Task Manager. You should see the update on the Application tab, and you can select it and press end task.Click on the start ORB > Control Panel > programs and features, on the left, select view installed updates and see if the update that was being Setup finished installing. If it does not have and does not appear on the list, you can restart your computer and try to install the update mode without failure.
To do this, restart your pc and even if your pc is booting press the key F8 on your keyboard to enter the Advanced Boot Options menu. On the Advanced Boot Options menu, select Safe Mode and press ENTER.Your computer will boot mode safe by using only the basic drivers and services, hopefully allowing Windows Update to complete the installation of the update, you are having problems with.

I use Windows Vista Home Basic on a Dell Inspiron 1501. I have recently accepted that some guest downloads Windows with terrible results. First downloads do not appear to have been accepted and the system of guard stop and startup trying to cancel. Second as I result, I seem to have lost access to a range of Windows tools. For example in Panel I can't open system icons or Windows Update. Nor can I access these services from any other avenue on the computer. Whenever I have find an icon or a file screen flashes a dialog briefly and then disappears. The effect of this is that I'm completely unable to access or to implement the recommended tools or services that could solve this problem. My ability to manage my computer has been reduced to zero. Dell were not receptive and I can't get a response from Microsoft
