windows Vista supports WDDM 1.1?

windows vista WDDM V1.1 is capable?

I have directX 11 on a full directx 11 ATI card

I've heard some rumors that vista supports windows 7 driver model 1.1

Here is an overview on versions of driver by Rohit Chettri

http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-hardware/the-difference-between-wddm1112-with-WDDM-2021-or/938da6eb-0434-491b-854F-6b2ca70fb02d

Quote from andre Ziegler (2010):

A graphics chip must support DirectX 10 for WDDM 1.1 drivers. Some improvements are graphical GDI with partial hardware acceleration and that the video RAM is not copied into main RAM.

MS explained a bit in their blog:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/E7/archive/2009/04/25/engineering-Windows-7-for-graphics-performance.aspx

You get WDDM1.1 in Vista, with the platform Windows Vista Update but GDI / GDI + is always made software.

  • Is it still possible to get the 64-bit Windows Vista support?

    Hello!

Well, I have a copy to authentic detail, under license of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. He put 32 bit media. But at the time when Vista comes out, I could order the 64-bit Vista Home Premium support which I use today with the same license key that came on the parcel.
About a year ago I bought the Windows Vista Express upgrade, which is valid for a Home Premium to Ultimate upgrade. But the disk is 32-bit only! So, I was wondering if it is still possible to get the 64-bit separately, support only this time, for the edition of Vista Ultimate? I ask this question because I would like to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, but still run on 64-bit, since I can't spend 64-bit Home Premium to Ultimate 32 - bit.
I know that it may be too late now, given the fact that Windows 7 is already out and Windows 8 is in its phase of consumer preview now. But I am not really interested in upgrading to one of them at this stage. All I really want is just to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, but I need the 64-bit support, since I already have the license key.
Maybe that Microsoft may allow me to download an ISO image of the Vista Ultimate 64-bit? That would be good enough for me, I don't care for the physical disc, it is not really necessary. I could get some pirate site or something like that, since I already own not one but two licenses, but I don't want that.
    Thanks in advance!

The disks are probably non-destinee resale and this may explain the color.

The Express Upgrade product key is specific to an upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate.  The product key with the expedition is probably a full license key.

    > By 'Matrix Vista upgrade', you mean upgrading one bit-version to the other, like 64-bit to 32-bit or 32-64, right?

N ° upgrade matrix tells you if an upgrade installation is allowed or a custom installation is required when moving from one edition of Windows to another.

    > Also, if I use a key Vista Home Premium that I have today to install Home Premium and then upgrade to Vista Ultimate, what happenes to my old key? The old key become invalid/replaced by the new key that I got the update? I mean where I want to go back to the old edition, I've had to go back to Vista Home Premium, I reuse this old key?

You can use the old key to return to the old edition.  However, you can not use the key to install the old edition on a different computer.  The old key is bound to the key to upgrade.

    > "" If a user is running a 32-bit version of Windows, a user can only be upgraded to another 32-bit version: upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit requires a clean installation. ""

Now you are confusing a "install update" with an 'upgrade license '.  A retail upgrade license is valid to move from a 32-bit edition to a 64-bit edition, but an upgrade installation is not allowed and a custom installation is required (due to the change in the number of bits of the installation).

    > And now Microsoft will probably speed up the versions of Windows, with new versions coming out every two years or more, or has done.

Not true.  Microsoft has been on a cycle of three years for a long time.  There is no speed upward.  Vista has been delayed for two years, when Microsoft declared a moratorium until security problems in Windows have been fixed (XP SP2 was the result).

    > I don't know about Windows 7. I don't know if I'll get it or wait for Windows 8. I hear a lot of misfortunes for Windows 7

I don't know where you got this info.  Windows 7 is much better than Vista or XP.  Vista is the one that is panned by critics as a real dog.  Try Windows 7 and you will never look back.

  • How can I replace my Windows Vista support?

I'm loading Windows Vista Home Premium on a friends computer.  It has a valid key but PERSON DO keep their records.

OK, so about a week ago someone helped me with iso images of Windows 7.  I corrected my friend computer and now his Windows Vista computer has problems.  I'm formatting the hard drive, but it doesn't have its disk of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.  Its key is displayed directly on the box, so I did that, I just need an iso image.

  • Where can I buy replacement Windows Vista support?

Microsoft used to sell the Vista reinstallation CD.

M/S used to sell records re - install for a ridiculous price.  I can't find the link to order one any where.  Can someone help me?

    Hello

You can use a Microsoft Vista DVD for resettlement purposes (borrow one from a friend), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista must be installed. The product key determines which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

    Hello

I guess you need a driver for Vista compatible cardbus.
I noticed that Toshiba provides the Vista driver not for all Toshiba laptops.
Right now the Vista drivers are provided only for several series of laptops.

I got this Toshiba document on the support home page, and it seems that satellite M30X is not listed in the Microsoft Windows Vista support driver index ;(

  • What is a video game for Windows XP always run on Windows Vista?

My sister wants to buy a video game for the computer. But the game says that it works under Windows Me /XP/ 98. This game will always work when used on a Windows Vista?

Not a guarantee. Changes in technology and sometimes on the way, old programs break. The reason why many do is simply because the way in which they were written. Some programs are hard coded to check the version of the OS during installation, if Setup program fails to find a suitable BONE, it was designed for (XP = 5.1, 2000-5.0), it refuses to install. It is a bad practice on the developers part that Microsoft is working with third-party developers for the development of Windows Vista to discourage.

  • After restarting my computer Windows Vista, I can not get the wireless to work.

Re start my Vista and now l can't get broadband wireless, but before he started he was work ing great. Can anyone help please, or can I use my windows 7 on my laptop by paying a fee

    Paul

    original title: Vista, broadband

The computer is a Toshiba Satellite model PSLB8E-0CK00YEN

l cleaned my vista with my drive, everything works, but the broadband wireless

Which means that Vista has erased my discs, how l can get the disks on my lap top?

Actually - if you have installed Windows Vista from scratch yourself (booted from the Windows Vista support and followed along to do a clean install or use some CD/DVD by default) then you're the one who has erased your disks and all data about them.  In any case - your "wifi" does not indicate any wiping.  * smile *.

If it's just a simple Windows Vista DVD, then * you * need to get all the drivers for hardware on this computer.  You may need to use a different machine (of course) in order to get the proper and then drivers transfer to them for the Toshiba by USB/CD/DVD.

Is this REALLY a Toshiba Satellite L300-20 d?  (Click on this link to check...)
The * number * of part is PSLB8E-0CK00YEN.

  • How can I install lightroom 5 in windows vista?

Can I download it with Adobe Application manager, but when I do an install, it says me that there is error!

Help me please, how I can install lightroom on my laptop, I have windows vista Professional (service Pack2).

    Thank you very much!

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Lightroom/KB/Windows-Vista-supported-Lightroom-5.html

"Windows Vista is not an officially supported operating system to version 5 of Lightroom, and it does not work on Windows Vista."

5 Lightroom requires Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Unofficial workaround solutions exist online to get 5 Lightroom running Vista, but try them at your own risk. If something goes wrong, there is no support.

  • Help with Flash MX 2004 & amp; Windows Vista

    Hey there
I just got a new laptop with Windows Vista
installed my Flash MX 2004 and every time I try to import an audio file (mp3 or wav)
    Flash crashes.

I am able to open old files and audio on them works fine.
    Help, please!

    Thank you!

Flash MX 2004 is not supported on Windows Vista. You might have more luck downloading (free) Virtual PC 2007, which makes an image of Windows XP then loading Flash MX 2004 in this image XP instead of Vista. Of course you will need a copy of Windows XP.

Document of Adobe's Windows Vista support:

    Virtual PC 2007: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc/default.mspx

Flash CS3 is supported in Vista, if you are looking to upgrade.

  • Scanners supported in Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7

I have a HP Scanjet 5370c running on my desktop PC with Windows XP and am planning to upgrade to Windows 7 by releasing.  However, when the software running Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta to determine the compatibility of the system, the report indicates that the 5370 Scanjet is not compatible with Windows 7.  Further investigation on the HP Web site titled "Supported in Microsoft Windows Vista Scanners" page, it seems that my scanner is not supported on Vista either.  Does this mean that my scanner which works great under XP has been made obsolete due to lack of a driver which runs under Vista or Windows 7?  I like the Scanjet 5370c better than most scanners newest I've seen, it seems a shame to throw the right equipment for lack of support drivers.

I understand your point of view, and it's a good thing.  BUT it can cost the sale of new scanners.

The Scanjet 400, for example, was a very popular scanner.  Do not update for Vista, HP turned its back to a large number of its customers.

When I buy a scanner to work with Windows 7, guess what?  Because of the behavior of HP, I'll be that much less likely to buy a HP one.

I'm probably not the only one to see things this way.
