Windows xp and officejet 470

My printer manual portable officejet 470 says it's compatible with Windows XP. But, said the Windows 7 installation disc and when I try to install, it fails with the message: Windows 7 required. Can I get a CD drive to install the 470 for a Windows XP computer?

Hello

It is a HP Officelet H470? There is only one CD. Please download the software and the following driver and install on your Windows XP-based computer:

    Hello

    I use a Toshiba Qosmio 50.

Since I've upgraded to Windows 7, my OfficeJet G55 no longer print.
Windows 7 cannot install the appropriate driver.
Scan and copy functions are available, but not the print function.
I tried all the solutions on HP and Microsoft sites, but they do not work.
The printer works fine on my Toshiba Satellite pro with Windows XP.

Someone has experienced the same problem?
    Thank you

    Hello Andrew

Just a question: do you really think that it is somehow related to your Qosmio laptop?
I want to say if your printer has problem with Windows 7 Toshiba has nothing to do with it and you need to clarify this with the manufacturer of the printer. Call the HP hotline and ask for help.

They are responsible for the support and offer appropriate and functional drivers for all operating systems.
Please don't get me wrong, but Toshiba has nothing to do with it.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625: Windows 10 and OfficeJet Pro 8625

I've updated Windows 8.1 and now when I try to scan and send the results directly to the computer on a wired network connection, I get an error message stating "The HP Officejet Pro 8620 is not found".

    The printer works fine.

I reinstalled the drivers (which makes disturbing do not mention Windows 10) and the problem still exists.

    Can anyone help?

    @kamagee

It's disturbing, especially because it is in direct contradiction with the documentation that you should be OK.

You could try a number of things, simply because the reinstallation of the drivers may not "had" correctly.

If you don't have already done, download a copy of the software full functionality of the Web site of the printer Support page:

E-all-in-one printer, HP Officejet Pro 8625 range

    • You could try to remove the printing of programs and features software
    • Shut down the computer...
    • Everything, including the router restarts.
    • Install a new copy of the software full functionality.

    Help, Instructions, tips:

Install the full features software - printer

I just bought a new HP with Windows 7 computer.  Then bought a HP Officejet 7000 printer.

As I work to load the printing software, I get the error messages "the system cannot be installed using run as ' and 'operating system is not supported operating systems.  Please recommend as a solution.  Note - I'm a novice / non-technical person.  Thank you.  :

    Hello

Have you tried the drivers and the software found here? Download the drivers and software for your version of Windows 7. the 32-bit drivers only work with Windows 7 32 bit and it goes same for 64-bit versions.

Make a right-click on the icon my computer and select Properties. You will then see which version of the operating system is installed as your operating system.

  • Windows 10 for Officejet 4500 driver

    Hello

I've updated from windows 8.1 windows 10 and after my windows activation, even once, I did a clean install of my windows.

After a successful installation and activation of windows, tried to install the printer driver using the driver windows 8.1.

Installation began, but after the detection of the printer, it hangs at 'check' HP scan interface 2 to 92% and stays there... I tried your solution given in your website and forums as the restart and everything, but nothing works. I have my printer connected via an Ethernet cable with my router.

We need drivers for windows 10 for HP officejet 4500 G510 series printers. Impossible to find on the pilot and Web site download page.

  • 8620 OfficejetPro works with Windows 7 and 8 but NOT 8.1

I bought a 8620 last week and it loaded well on our laptops to operate Windows 7 and Windows 8 and we are facing up and running and fully operational.

However, while I followed the same process on our Windows 8.1 machine, and the printer seems to be properly installed, any impression that we seems to blend into the ether!

I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, made sure that the windows firewall is disabled (we have Mcafee) and generally tampered with about-, but to no avail.

Does anyone have the solution please?

    Welcome to the Selpat forums!

I understand that your Officejet 8620 does not work on your Windows 8.1 system, however, works very well with your Windows 8 and 7 systems. I would like to help!

First of all, try to run the HP Print and Scan doctor.

Please let me know the specific results of the execution of the tool.

If the tool detects that the complete software is not installed, run the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Please let me know the result and how you have the 8.1 Windows connected to the printer. (USB, wireless, ethernet) Try an alternative connection as well to see if it will work.

  • HP Deskjet and Officejet full feature software and drivers - fatal error during installation

The reports 'HP Print and Scan Doctor' software install problem on the text scanner.

In 2008, I bought a HP Pavilion Elite with Vista with a HP OfficeJet 5610 all-in-One connected by USB. About a year ago I upgraded to Windows 7 and print and scan work OK. Last week, I received an email from HP for HP print and doctor Scan (see 4.3) and installed. I had a problem, try to install the software updates it says that I need. I have uninstall and reinstalled several times.

Printing HP and Scan doctor said that printing, but the scanner part fails to Registery, HP Scan Flow Manager and Front Panel Test.

    Any help would be appreacited.

Printing reports HP and doctor Scan:

A later version of the software is available for this product.

  • Windows 7 - driver Officejet J4680

If the search around some of the other threads, looks like my Officejet J4680 fell into several printers that lack full 7 drivers HP.

It is indeed listed as compatible here:

    http://h41112.www4.HP.com/promo/win7web/printer-support/us/en/OfficeJet.html

However, under Windows 7 64 bit, it shows only a CD that throws and error if you attempt to select:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=4063&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=3692888&lang=en

The printer is used wireless and indeed prints using the driver provided the OS, but cannot scan.

    -------------------------

I've seen some referring to availability for pilots from mid-November and some posts have said Jan, but nothing very specific. I think I even saw a single line which has drivers from now on.

What is the official statement from HP for when they expect availability for these drivers for this specific model/line?

(Or possibly a link to the date of delivery for all printers officejet taken in charge.)

Is there no workaround scanning wireless solution in the meantime?

I write about my experience with the Officejet J4680. I hope that the lessons will be useful to other owners of this model, or possibly other models who have similar problems.

1 HP did not have ALL the drivers at the launch. So I waited until what they first appeared about 1/2 weeks later.

    2. once they have increased, there was some other printer randomly on the same page, and the link to the download was named the same for both. If you guess and then look at the name of the installation file to tell if it was good. This has since been fixed.

    4. on the download of the driver version 'basic', it systematically fails at the end of the installation. CANNOT install this printer for use with the base driver wireless.

The installation process see the printer, connects and displays the address mac and other information, but fails on the final progress without apparent reason bar (only "unable to connect" appears).

No debug information has been proposed by the installer on why this happened however. Choose the option to retry fails as well. Reboot and try again also fails.

After that several installation attempts, I downloaded the full version instead.

5 laps, I need "imaging" to the INSTALLATION service found only in the full version of the driver installation. So at the beginning of the installation I can uncheck everything except for the image service and the pilot himself.

Remember, I don't have the driver of imagery to RUN the printer and scanner. I just need for the installation process to complete. I can remove/disable it later.

    6. then, by the admission of the HP Imaging for the scanner connect will throw an error of connection at startup every time (essentially what makes the useless service). It also means that I can't scan from the printer itself by using the HP software provided.

    7. Finally. as the confession of the HP, Windows 7 includes Windows Fax and Scan functions.

So, in the end, I got the impression and scanning to work (which required the function to scan no HP windows). The hoops I had to jump through, are unacceptable to a large professional company like HP.

HP, if you can't fix the scan driver (which seems to be the case, since it's been broken in Vista well before now), difficulty at least your installation. Because currently you MUST install your driver CERTAINLY BROKEN just to make it work.

    Ridiculous.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 5610: cannot install HP Deskjet and Officejet full feature software and drivers

  • Windows 7 / HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Installation network without success

    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

    Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

My goal is to enable the "Scan to Computer" feature of my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 on Windows 7, which does not find my computer when I try to use since the touchscreen front panel of the printer. The printer connected to my wifi LAN.

In the Setup program on the CD, I chose to NOT to install any software apart from the "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 software basic device", which installs fine. I also choose NOT to install the web services "ePrint" or him allow to connect to the network for updates or share of usage statistics, or none of it.

During Setup, the network "Check" concludes correctly the printer on my local wifi network, but the 'Installing network printer' part next fails still, having for result "Network Installation fails", no other details. The result is the same if I try again with "Real-time Protection" of Microsoft Security Essentials offshore, or with the Windows Firewall off the coast. No other antivirus is running.

The program "HP Scan" immediately fails with the message error "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not found."

Under control panel > "Devices and printers", I see a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. Windows installs and print with that printer without the CD.

Under control panel > "Device Manager", the printer is NOT listed under "imaging devices".

My Acquisition of Image Windows (WIA) service is running.

    Clues?

You try to scan from the PC using the scanner or scan from the printer to the computer?

If it's the latter, then the "Scan to Computer" function must be enabled via software of the printer installed on your PC. Then you should be able to scan directly from your printer.

If this is the first, and then quickly run this tool and tell me what it is:

Since the installation of 10 windows, windows drivers 8 that makes the printer function, seem outdated or deleted?

    Alaskis

    Hi @Alaskis1,

I can help you get the full functionality of the software and the driver for your Officejet Pro 8500. You can use either software package provided on the page of the HP driver or the printer Installation Wizard.

You can download and install from here: file name: OJ8500_A910_1315 - 1.exe, or as stated, you can download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

The HP printer for window installation wizard was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and users Windows 8.1 download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you want additional help. Thank you!

  • Solution Center does not work under Windows 7 with Officejet Pro L7780

Downloaded the latest version of the software for Windows 7 and the first issue was when you try to do an installation complete you get a fatal error at the 96 percent mark when she did the configuration. I looked on the web and found a lot of posts on the same problem. Then, I just uninstalled and made a gradual installation.

Main printer DRIVER installed first. Then did the functions of imaging followed by the solution Center device.

Installed everything, but when you run the solution center it says it can't open because incomplete installation.

The printer works from Windows 7.

I have an XP machine and Solution Center working on it.

    Any suggestions anyone.

This thread has resolved the problem installing the software that supports the HP Officejet Pro l7780 for use on Windows 7.

The event viewer showed mistakes that network location for %APPDATA%\protector.exe is not found.

Even if I couldn't run the original installation of solutioncenter.msi to work without errors in the log file, without making any changes, which has not completely solved the problem.

Since solutioncenter, initially did not work, I decided to run solutioncenter.msi manually and look at the log file. See errors in the log file we made changes to the database with Orca solutioncenter.msi. It took us on a long road that does not initially sense that HP would put something out there that produced errors in the msi log file.

    I don't know how the setup.exe uses solutioncenter.msi?

The changes that doesn't seem it to matter when you run the setup.exe file that is provided in the download.

If I used the modified solutioncenter.msi or version orginal of it as downloaded from HP running setup.exe site had no importance regarding obtaining solutioncenter work in windows 7, canceled only changes in the solutioncenter log file errors.

I had to make the following changes to the environment variables to get the full package to work, but what is strange is that I could replace the changeed solutioncenter.msi or the original solutioncenter.msi and run setup.exe, with the following environment changes didn't matter. The solution Center has worked in Windows 7 using one of the solutioncenter.exe and setup.exe.

Apparently, setup.exe does not use the MSI directely. I think that HP responses suggested that in a previous thread.

Add these entries (click new...) for the owner user variables and System variables:

    In the name box: APPDATA

    In the value box: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

Run setup.exe and event viewer does not display % APPDATA % Scriptures and all work.

Thanks for all help on this.
