try to boot in safe mode with network first, and then try to scan your computer using scanners like:

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

or

http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

also try to run the Norton Eraser tool, it corrects your DNS issues:

http://security.Symantec.com/nbrt/NPE.aspx

you don't have to perform the installation on your computer again. First, try the links above.

In addition, make sure that your connection is good.

go to the prompt commands and ping a website

Once you get this result packets sent 4 received 4 Lost 0. you are connected to the Web site.

Alternatively, you can try to reset your Winsock:

    Hi Robert

Since Internet explore and Firefox works well in safe mode with networking, it seems that some third-party programs or modules may be the cause of this problem.

We can try the following steps to get this problem resolved:

    Method 1

We can identify which particular program or Internet Explorer causing module does not work in Normal mode by running the clean boot.

We can see the following article in the Microsoft KB to perform the clean boot

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps mentioned in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2

If disabling modules and third-party programs don't resolve the issue, we can try to reset the internet Explorer & check if that solved the problem

We can try the following Microsoft Fixit to Internet explore that automatically detects the number and fix it.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/ie_performance_and_safety

We can also manually reset internet Explorer by following the below mentioned steps

    1. close all Internet Explorer Windows and Explorer that are currently open.

    2. start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, tap or click options Internet. If you don't see the Tools menu, press ALT.

    3. in the Internet Options window, tap or click the Advanced tab.

    4. press or click reset. If you are using Windows Internet Explorer 6, click restore default.

    5. in the dialog box Reset Internet Explorer settings , tap or click reset.

Select the Remove personal settings check box if you also want to delete the browsing history, search providers, accelerators, home pages, the Tracking and ActiveX filtering of data protection.

    6. when Internet Explorer has finished the application default settings press or click closeand then press or click OK.

Out and then start Internet Explorer.

The following Microsoft Knowledge Base article can be returned for more information on this.

  • Problem on Windows 7 computer network connectivity

The desktop of Windows 7 ether net connected, I had selective network problems. I was unable to access the Web sites, but had no problem to update software and connections to the game servers. I ran antivirus and optimizer software to solve the problem, but I think they may have removed some crucial programs for networking.  Now, I am unable to access the Internet related services all via ether net.

I tried to reinstall the driver for network card to the motherboard. Among network cards, the teredo tunneling adapter displays an error titled code 10. I tried the REGEDIT fix and reinstall the driver.  None of these solutions so far have worked.

I'm not sure whether the mistake of teredo is the cause, but it seems like a common problem. Anyone know how I might be able to solve this problem?

The error - an unexpected i/o error has occurred, status: (0Xc00000e9) is a material error in the BIOS of your computer.

Exact error message: "network error.  Windows cannot access \\Thor.  You are not allowed to access \\Thor.  Contact your network administrator to request access. »

    Hi Robby HR,

    1. What is the exact error message when you try to access the files from Windows 7 computer?

    2. have you enabled turn on file and printer sharing option on the Windows XP computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest you give full permission for the shared Windows XP computer printer to share the printer.

See step 5: from following link to give permission to the printer.

Sharing files and printers with different versions of Windows

    Method 2:

I suggest that you turn off the computer Windows XP security software and check how it works.

    Follow the steps below.

    a. right-click on the icon of antivirus software on the lower left.

    b. then, select Disable.

    Caution:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Stop the 'computer' browser service on a single computer will be affect in any way the possibility to connect to this computer or its printers.  Stopping this service is prohibited only the computer that has to be eligible to become a master of domain when a main browser election is held.  So that at least a computer on each subnet has the service is running, your network continues to function normally.

That said, there is a registry value called "MaintainServerList" located at the:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters
as if the value 'No' or 'False', will avoid the computer browser Service to start.  For more information, see the article:

    Original title: download error

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

It seems that you have problems with downloading files on the windows vista computer.

The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

    1. what browser you use on the computer?

    2. What is the exact full error message?

    3. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

    4. deal with this problem if you try to download all files from online?

If you do this in the face of Internet Explorer help, I suggest that you should change the default download location and check if it helps.

    Method 1

In internet explorer, you can change the default location.

    Here's how:

    a. open internet explorer.

    b. click on Tools , then select view downloads.

    c. downloads for window, click Options.

    d. now, enter the default download location and click on the OK button.

Turn on the computer at the beginning of boot and check if the problem persists.

    Method 2

Perform a clean boot to see if no third-party service is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: follow step 3 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.
