    Fatal error during Installation
When I try to open I-Tunes, I get the message that the windows service install could not be accessed.  This can occur when windows is running in safe mode or windows installer is not installed properly.

I followed these steps and the programs have been removed form the revo uninstaller list but it still appears in the windows Uninstall list and I get the same error when I try to uninstall it - windows service install could not be accessed.  I used revo to uninstall another program and it worked and disappeared in the two lists.

Have its possible that this is a download corrupted Windows XP mode, you tried to download it again and see if it works? Also, make sure that you first install Windows Virtual PC.

Click Start, type: enable or disable windows features

    Press enter on your keyboard

Scroll down and make sure that Windows Virtual PC is checked.

    Click OK

    Restart if prompted.

    Hello Simon,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Your computer is connected to a domain network?

Thank you for details on the issue.

Preparation system (Sysprep) tool prepares an installation of Windows for duplication, auditing, and customer delivery. Duplication, also called imaging, allows to capture a customized Windows image that you can reuse throughout the organization. Audit mode allows you to add additional device drivers or applications to a Windows installation. After you install additional drivers and applications, you can test the integrity of the Windows installation. Sysprep also allows to prepare an image to be delivered to a customer. When the customer boots Windows, Windows Welcome starts.

  • Vista: Windows could not complete the installation. Reinstall Windows. Stops at CRCDISK. SYS in safemode, all the time.

A hard drive the HP dv2915nr laptop was dead. Installed a new hard drive and use the HP recovery CD. installs for 4 hours and then stops: Windows could not complete installation. Please re - install Windows again. Each facility is 4 hours. Because another install and it took 4 hours and then it restarts and stop at the same error. Now, I'm administrator (locked) - turn off when I pop in the recovery CD. Message: Your account has been disabled. Please, see your system administrator. I tried Safe Mode and loading Windows files stops at crcdisk.sys all the time and then restarts and displays: Windows could not complete installation. Please install again. Can't go in the office. Only restarts with these messages. Asked HP cat (3) Tech people and they do not have the answer. Said, could be a compatibility issue with the software. I ordered this CD of recovery on their part and he got yesterday. Now, they send in the laptop. So tried advice here. Please notify.

I found the answer. HP Tech Support Chat did not know the answer. When you run HP recovery CD, don't hit the restart WINDOWS button when it asks. The software will do it for you automatically. It will take a while (several hours 1-6 hours) to complete. You'll know it's done when WINDOWS ask you information of language, country and keyboard. In other words, don't touch anything once you start the restore CD program. Leave it alone and it will fix it for you. IGNORE the pop-up restart.

I can't believe HP has not even tell me that and 3 chat sessions with them was a waste of time. Last HP person ask me to send in the RECOVERY CD and the laptop.

No help from anyone on this issue. :(

BUT I thought about it. :)

  • Windows could not complete the installation - Message in Vista 32

Windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on this computer, run the Setup again.

I get this message when I switch on my compaq CQ40 with Vista 32. From this screen, I can go into Manager tasks and go online, see the program files on the C: drive, change passwords, etc. Anything except support Vista. I just downloaded and installed SP2 via the Task Manager. Always stops after the Welcome screen. Another thing I never noticed before: during the boot and just after opening orb, the Welcome to Windows message lights up with the small circle of progress, then I hear a sound of gong just before startup fails. Curious. Any help out there?

  • Can't install Itunes, get an error that the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode"

    OP: Install problems Windows

I tried to install iTunes, but he said that "the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode or if Windows Installer is not installed properly. Call support personnel. "They gave me similar messages by other programs I've tried to install as well.

Because I was not running Windows in safe mode in time, I assumed that the installer was not installed correctly. So I tried to download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

But then I got error messages like "this update does not apply to your system" and "not enough memory is available to process this command." I tried all the links and none of them worked for me. I'm running a Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and I 2.38 GB of available RAM, so I don't think that the lack of memory is the problem here. What should I do?

1.] I had a previous version of iTunes, but I got rid of it with Revo Uninstaller.

I was looking around and I found this: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-installation-setup/96680-repair-windows-installer-service-vista-all-versions-2.html

I followed the direction of the last message (by F'n Vista) and changed the value of WOW64 Registry and now iTunes has installed perfectly and works now. I'll try to install other programs that I got hurt with previously. Thank you very much for your help! :)

  • "Windows could not complete the installation", Y510P

    Hello

Just got my new Y510P and realized it's impossible to start Windows.

Initially it displays error "Windows cannot parse or process Unattend...» [... \unattend.xml] [oobeSystem] pass... »

After reboot he start to display a different message - "Windows could not complete installation, restart the installation.

The operating system is Windows 8.1.

Looks like I'm not the only person having this problem. System recovery does not help, of course (as well as the graceful Lenovo tech support).

I think that the problem caused by the incorrect unattend.xml file that fails to install any software because of this error and unnesessary blocking Windows to complete the installation.

I see no other way rather than installing Windows from another source. I don't want to pay for another Windows license and instead return the Lenovo laptop, but perhaps there is another way?

    Problem solved.

I contacted Lenovo support and they offered me to send recovery discs I received a few days later. I installed the cleaning system of records and have not experienced any problems since.

I'm still not fully satisfied because I cannot reset the laptop to the factory settings without these discs, but I think I can live with that.

    Hello

For any problem with the help of the recovery Partition that has been copied to the hard disk by the computer manufacturer, you must contact them.

This recovery process is the manufacturer, not Microsoft.

You never told us why you wanted to do a restore. If you had serious errors and the recovery process does not work, you will have hardware problems. BUT we're only guessing at this stage due to lack of information to help you.
