  Alto! It worked. I uninstalled the Realtek Audio (in Device Manager), did a reboot and the computer does the repair (reinstalled audio) itself. I didn't have to manually reinstall.

  I stumbled upon the solution to my problem. I went to devices and printers and found a ball strange entry under devices. When I checked the properties of the device, I found that it is a multimedia audio device without any driver.   • Click Start
  • Right click on my computer
  • Select Manage
  • Select Device Manager
  • Expand sound, video and game controllers

  If the devices are there and are not installed, right-click on the device and install it or update drivers.
