Windows8 OEM: activation after format HARD drive

Hello!

I have laptop Packard Bell EasyNote TV11HC 33124g50mnks. When I bought it, it has a pre-installed OEM Windows 8.

I formatted a hard drive and install another OS. Windows 8 have been erased. Part of recovery was too removed.

I need to reinstall Windows 8 and activate via OEM license.

How to do?

If I upload an image .iso MSDN at the original address and install Windows 8 starting from that, is that it is enabled? What image is best to use?

Can I use Windows 8.1 rather Windows 8 by this OEM license?

Please get in touch with support technique Packard Bell

  • Second activation of Windows 7 after formatting hard drive

I recently installed Windows 7 on my desktop PC and activated.  However, due to display problems (which is happened because of Lightning), the technician computer that provided the proposed Windows 7 reformat the hard drive and I agreed.  After formatting, Windows 7 has been installed from the original disk even.  I am not able to activate now even after providing the correct product id.  The message says that I have to buy a new license!

Another curious aspect: I tried a day before activation, which asked me to download a software (from Microsoft of course).  I followed the instructions, and after a lot of screens, I thought I found 'successful activation.  However, booting my PC this morning, I find that I have 0 days for activation and that he chose the option "Activate now" with the same result (after providing the correct product id).

Add to my great surprise, after restarting the PC, he said now "27 days to activate. Activate Windows now.

Could someone please guide me how to actually activate my Windows 7 now?  (Either by the way, I had also installed MS Office 2007 before reformatting and activated.  After reformatting, Office was installed from the same disc again and I had no problems activating the office...)

  • Can't see BIOS UEFI more Windows 8 after formatting hard drive

After formatting my hard drive, I don't see the opportunity to get into the BIOS/UEFI firmware anymore. It has disappeared from the troubleshooting Windows 8.1. It happened because I had to reinstall Windows because I wanted to put Windows on the SSD drive, that I adapted. Firstly tried to transfer files to Windows from the HARD drive that went successfully but my problem was trying to get the HP BIOS so he can start, he had no option as I saw in the other BIOS, select the name of the SSD drive and turn it on just for 1 St boot, (the SSD has been installed properly so she did state in the BIOS on other things and in the windows to) the only thing that he had in this BIOS is a command to start menu I dragged the SSD to the first boot. Windows restarted and it wouldn't boot from SSD yet, so I put it in legacy mode that came to the top with my SSD info to start first, but when I saved these settings and rebooted Windows it says has no disc or can't find windows. So that's how I got where I am now and had to reinstall Windows to get it working again. Can't find away to get the BIOS/UEFI on windows 8 Troubleshooting menu option more?

    Hello

The way most simple and easiest way to solve your dilemma to use the HP recovery media to build on the SSD system use the same SATA port that is used by the original Windows 8 boot drive. I know that this procedure works, at least on the PC that I used.

I'm not a fan of 'cloning' of hard disks to boot HP UEFI active.  There are simply too many problems. Using the HP with a SSD recovery holder sized to accept all the original HP recovery system. This includes not user data. Then use your original hard drive as a device of emergency start and space remaining for the storage of data.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Recovery CD don't reinstall it Satellite M300 correctly after formatting HARD drive

    Hi all

After having my original problem to create rescue disks resolved with your help (thanks again), I'm at the formatting of hard drives of 300. After that, I want to do a fresh install of Ubuntu.
But I must admit I'm rather nervous about all this.

    So 2 questions:

1 has anyone done this before and how it worked?
    2. I would be able to get the M300 back to the form using the reinstallation discs, AFTER formatting the HARD drive

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Usually the Vista Toshiba Recovery DVD should reinstall everything again. Simply said, it must affect the M300 return to the factory settings.
The use of the recovery DVDs is very simple.

You must boot from the recovery DVD and must follow the instructions on the screen!
But note; The recovery DVDs will format the entire HARD drive... as the partitions created, etc...

    That s it.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite A60-772: What readers need after format HARD drive?

I would format my hard drive. Should what drivers I have to load after the format? Thank you

    Hello Eliane

After the installation of the OS, you must install the drivers, tools and utilities. As far as I know with your laptop is also supplied Tools & Utilities CD. This CD contains all this stuff. If you do not, you can download it from the Toshiba support under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page support & downloads.

It is very important to install things in the right order. To make this review please document Instructions of facilities.

  • Restore data from a CD after format hard drive. Backup and Restore Center.

I had a virus problem in my system.  I was asked to back up the data before they formatted my hard drive.  I used the backup and restore - 33 CDs Center.  After picking up my computer (they have reinstalled the operating system - Vista), I was unable to restore my data.  When I try to restore it, I get this message "there are no backups available on this computer.

    Hi happythinker321,

    1. How did you create the backup?

You will need to use the advanced restore feature and check if it works.

    1. open the Center to backup and restore by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then click backup and Restore Center.

    2. click on Advanced Restore Options. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. click on files from a backup made on a different computerand then follow the steps.

  • How can I keep windows genuine in my laptop after formatting hard drive?

    Hello
I have a dell laptop l502 with a premium windows home instlled in hard drive 7. now I need to format the hard drive, but how can I keep my windows 7? is it possible to save or I loss my windows genuine?

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

This will allow that you reinstall Windows 7 while maintaining a true.

Make sure that you back up your data before reinstalling:

  • Satellite M40 - cannot boot from the recovery cd after format HARD drive

    Hello

After my Satellite M40 - 133 being affected by the virus of security internet I had to wipe my hard drive. The virus wouldn't let me do anything, boot without failure or system restore. I wiped the disk and it still wouldn't load up. That's why I had to do a full erase of the disk including the hidden partition.

After doing his now do not let my boot from the CD of restoration as it says invalid partition as his search for files that must be on the hidden partition. What can I do to get it started. I'm not bothered about to recover anything on the disc. If I remove the hard drive and put the recovery cd in, it excludes the disc and begins to start until he fails to see the hard drive.

Outwardly I can link the drive to another pc and he sees it as a storage device so I'm glad that there is nothing wrong with the hard ware - help please

    Hello

Can you see the HARD drive with all the details in the BIOS?
If this isn't the case, then this means that the HARD drive is faulty or not fully compatible.
If you can see the HARD drive in the BIOS, then this means that the HARD drive is compatible.

But this should not affect booting from a bootable CD.
Even if the HD would not be recognized in the BIOS, you should be able to boot from the CD. For example a live Linux CD has not only any disk HARD because the BONE would not be installed on the HARD drive, but it loads into RAM.

The question is; Why you are unable to boot from any CD?
Maybe the discs are scratched or the CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc more because of problems of laser lens
If possible, try to copy/burn the Windows CD using another computer, and then try to start using the copied disc.

  • Portege R500-100 - drivers after format HARD drive

    Hey,.

First post so go easy :)

I reformatted my hard drive the other day, but the drivers for my laptop support is poor.

The audio drivers are not working, I have several unknown devices in Device Manager in need of drivers, but I don't know what drivers to install.

Anyone could point us in the right direction?

    Its a r500-100

    Hey Buddy,

Why you are not satisfied with the Portege R500 driver support? I mean can you all the drivers on the site of Toshiba, and for most versions of Windows. Just follow the link posted by Al - eX.

And you should install all the drivers you can find on the Toshiba site. After that, you use all the functions of your mobile phone and you get back to factory settings.

  • BOOTMGR is missing after formatting HARD drive

I installed Windows 7 on XP.  I chose a clean install, assuming that the partition he wipe, but when it's over I had 2 GB of free space on the partition of 50GB. I then formatted the C drive and tried to install again, as I always had better luck with OS completely clean installs in the past.  When I tried to install from the DVD Win 7, I got an error message saying THAT BOOTMGR is missing.  I can't boot from the drive installation, or a recovery disc Windows 7, nor any boot disks that I saved various forms over the years.  Some discs loading menus, but the end result is always the same - BOOTMGR is missing.  So the problem is not a bad drive.  I downloaded EasyBCD, cannot boot from that. Is it possible to fix this or do I have to buy a new hard drive?

Well, I ended up having to reformat the hard disk and restart completely from scratch.  Windows is now re-installed and I am up & running again.

Then the next, what is the best way to add my second hard drive?  Win7 seems extremely susceptible to a second drive added.  My intention is first to move all my files the second disk, and then the RAID set (RAID 1) as I had before.  I won't be able to do this with Win7?

  • easy transfer can be used to reload the data files after formatting hard drive?

I have been informed by level microsoft 2 I have to reformat my hard drive to fix the problem with windows backup (snapshot won't work).  easy transfer will copy all THE data files, including OUTLOOK 2007 on hard drive and then I can reinstall on reformatted drive.

Easy transfer copy some things but not all things. He does more that can make a simple copy/paste (such as the settings for example) but, for example, not programs transfer (those who need to be put back in place).  Here is a description of what it does (and does not): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928635.  It will transfer Outlook 2007 PDF files and other personal data if they are selected - you need to know which files you need and where to select them - but it won't transfer the program (which must be put back in place).  It must be run before you reformat the hard disk to collect data and then you can transfer everything what you have registered once the system is re-installled.  You would do the re-setup prior to the transfer.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
