  How auto channel is supposed to work, is that the router is a poll figures and wireless channel is the best at the moment to reduce the interference of signals between the channels.

  This feature doesn't work well on some routers and manual adjustment of the chain is the best.

  Hi people,

  I'm running Win 7 Ultimate ed. with my laptop. I spent two nights at the research and fiddling with my laptop to change channel wireless at 12 or 13 because these are the ones that work best for me. Furthermore, I'm not in the United States. Settings for changing channels just doesn't exist here. I tried several of the latest Atheros drivers, but no luck.

  I'd really appreciate it if someone can shed some lights on this issue please. Thanks in advance.

  I would like to know if it is a simple software available that I could use to check channels 1-11 wireless congestion.

  There are many too many routers around my own wireless access point, with an unknown amount of traffic on each, on unknown channels.

  I am able to connect with my own very good access point, but the speeds are inconsistent and less than optimal.

  Would appreciate any information on how to check the channels for congestion. Thank you

  I have a Realtek 8187 b WLAN in my Satellite Pro L40.

  I have the latest drivers installed with xp pro, but can't set the channel everything but 10. How can I change the channel when I get the message that the channel range must be 10-10. This just doesn't seem right.

• Impossible to manually configure the wireless settings.

  I have an Apple Time Capsule of 7.7.7 version and no matter what I do I can't seem to accept my manual settings wireless.  My building a House requires several APs to provide adequate coverage, and time Capsule keeps selecting wireless channels that are in conflict with other access points in the House.  Does anyone know of a work around that will allow me to force the desired channels? I use a Windows PC 10 with Airport Utility for Windows version 5.6.1 configure time Capsule. Here are the steps I followed:

  -Select the "Time Capsule" on the left side

  -Click on the "Manual Configuration" button at the bottom

  -Select the tab "wireless".

  -Radio mode - menu drop down select "802. 11A / n - 802. "11b / g ' (very intentional)

  -Radio channel selection - I select in the drop-down "manual."

  -Select 'change... '. "and choose"36"for the 5 GHz channel and '1' for channel 2.4 GHz, then 'Ok '.

  -Select "Update."

  After restarting the device, I check the settings and I find...

  -Radio mode is back 'automatic '.

  Apple seems to have anticipated this rule change and still 2 years ago put in work in the 7.7.3 firmware.

  Test it using only 2.4 ghz, then set it to channel 8 as a channel that is legal everywhere... let alone 5 GHz for now... it works?

  First of all, please check the WLan card status in Device Manager.
  Check if the wireless card is installed properly (no yellow exclamation!)

  So I decided to see if the necessary driver updated.
