  • [E3000] How to make devices available on wireless ethernet?

    Hi all

I used the E3000 for quite a while. A problem that I could not find a solution, it is connected by Ethernet devices cannot be considered the wireless and vice versa. It's especially annoying because I want to access my media servers more wireless, for obvious reasons, but even those who are not visible (and use addresses IP on laptops is a pain in the back)

Recommended live chat I go to paid support service, but I'd rather the forums.

    Will be waiting for advice.

    Best.

Have you tried to fix this by upgrading the firmware of the router? If you haven't tried that yet, do. It is possible that the router must be updated. Reset the router after that and then reconfigure and see if it works correctly after that.

  • (7) wireless, ethernet LAN (XP)

Thanks for trying to help me. I am trying to connect by connecting my laptop (7) wireless to my desktop (XP), using ethernet. I get the lights of the active connection 10/100 both computer ethernet ports. The Office attempts to call the wireless laptop when I use the settings for a connection, infrared, parallel or series (Com1). I tried many combinations of selections of methods to make the connection. When I click on 'repair' on the desktop, I get a "cannot resolve the IP network", so I manually enter on the "config. adapter "- Advanced tab-(bus 8 AtherosPCI8103). • M1217nfw how to change a wireless Ethernet

I have my printer M1217nfw configured to use the wireless network. Is there an easy way to switch to the use of the Ethernet cable rather... without uninstall/re-installing of all machines on the network?

    Hi @SlithyTove,

I see by your post that you want to set up a wireless connection, Ethernet connection. I can help you with this.

It is really not difficult to pass. Depending on your operating system, I can give you more detailed instructions.

Restore the default settings of the printer. Go to configuration, network configuration, default restore.

Connect the Ethernet to the printer to the router.

Wait a minute and you should get a new IPV4 address assigned to the printer.

Then, run the Windows printer Add Wizard or add the printer to the Mac from the windows printers and Scanners.

On windows you can simply return the port to the new IP address also.

Go to start, devices and printers, right click on the printer, go to the printer properties, select the ports tab.

Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.

  • Win7 no recognition at all, wireless ethernet cable works fine

I recently tried to see if my wired connection would work for my PC, and when I disconnected my wireless and tried to connect via Ethernet, ethernet cable was not recognized as plugged in. I'm not too computer savvy, so I let the drivers installed, but I went to the Device Manager to check if there's a driver update, which it was not.

I tried to restart and do not connect not not wireless before attempting to connect via Ethernet.
My Ethernet device is an Intel PRO/1000 GT Desktop Ethernet card.
Any help in would be nice, because my PC is close to my router, and I would like to use a wired connection instead of wireless, with the proximity of the router.

You have reached the support good forum. If I understand correctly, you can not access the Internet using wired connection. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.

    1. who is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

    2. it worked before?

I suggest to disable the antivirus program and check.

    Caution:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 1:

Try to run the network troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem:

Check out this link to do the same thing:

    Network convenience stores

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-networking-troubleshooters

Method 2: Try to reset the Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and check if the problem persists.

The reset command is available in the context of the NetShell utility IP. Follow these steps to use the reset command to reset TCP/IP manually:

    a. to open a command prompt, click Start, click Run. Copy and paste (or type) that follows the command in the Open box, and then press ENTER: cmd

    b. at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) that follows the command, and then press ENTER:

    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Note If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    c. restart the computer.
