Wireless Officejet pro 8900 stopped printing

Our Officejet 8500 A909g mysteriously ceased to print wireless today. Windows (7) is unable to solve problems and this is the case of these two domestic laptops.

I tried it turning on and off.

Turn on the Wifi router printer off, power off, wifi, on printer

Change almost empty cartridges

Typing in IP address. the printer, which shows the status of the loan.

Printer will print test through the IP pages, but will not print pages to test through the windows,

Attempts to install an identical copy of the printer through Windows device fails.

I'm out of ideas.  Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: Wireless officejet pro 8620 Bluetooth printing

At work, I have a new HP officejet pro 8620 with wireless printing functions.  The office, with what I would use it is rather old and not compatible wireless outside the network working.  I bought a bluetooth device and installed on my desk, thinking I could get the printer to recognize this.  No go.  The printer (also installed on my desktop) recognizes the WiFi here but not the bluetooth on the desktop and is not on the same network as the desktop computer.

The printer did not join the same network as the desktop computer.  The Office cannot access the network that can access the wireless printer.

I thought (wrongly?) that the bluetooth device would work to create a network between these two singular.  Help?

This has happened recently. Nothing has changed on my end. First of all my ink was low, but even after changing ink it always did. I get an error message in Windows 8 that says: cannot print the Microsoft Word document. There is no error on the computer, but on my screen it says

    Hello eli4,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I understand that you are having a printing problem in Microsoft Word with your Officejet 8600. I will do my best to help you with this.

I would say running the print and Scan Doctor.
    * Download and run the utility.
    * Select your printer in the list, press next
    * Select printing fix.
It will detect and correct problems with printing.

Then, I recommend you update your firmware to the printer. (Get the latest Firmware and product updates).
After these two restarted the computer, and then test with your word documents.

If your still having the problem, try uninstalling/reinstalling the printer software.
Also, let me know if you encounter any errors. If you need help, I have to know if the printer
    connected USB or wireless.

Thaks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 stopped printing with cable connection

Last night my computer gave me a message that something has tried printing on the wrong size paper.  Then, I received a fax successfully and thought everything was fine.  This morning, all my documents are sitting in the queue.  I use a cable to connect the printer to my computer, so this isn't a wireless issue.

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning. Download and run printing HP and doctor Scan quickly and automatically perform several tasks of troubleshooting.

  • Officejet Pro L7580 stopped printing

    Hello:

All of a sudden my printer does not print.  I made no changes to anything. That's what I found so far:

I tried a diagnosis and it did print

It will NOT print a web page or a windows doc

When I click on print, it shows that it is printing but nothing happens.

I have another printer connected to the network and it will print.

I have a Mac.  All the info on the help I found is for windows.

I did a proposed reinstall, and it did not help.

    Help, please!

I managed to do the work.  I downloaded the driver again (I did already), and this time it worked.  No need extra help.  Thank you!

  • My HP Officejet Pro 8600 cannot print from my MacBook Air

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 cannot print from my MacBook Air. It keeps on showing "the printer is not connected", but the display on the printer connected. I often reset the printer "EVERY TIME" I want to use. I also tried to turn off my laptop and printer several times before printing. If I'm lucky, it will work maybe for one or two prints. If no luck then I have to reset everything again. Sometimes I reset the printer, the printer is not displayed on my selection.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 can print but not scan

My printer (Officejet Pro L7590) can print and copy correctly, but the scan function - that has worked well at the same time - has just up and stop working, and my attempts to solve the problem simply go round.

    • When I try to scan using the button start scan on the printer, I get an error message saying 'no scan options '.
    • When I try to open the solution Center, it is said that he cannot run because the installation is not complete.
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling the software (latest version, which is three years, downloaded from the HP website) do not work. The software seems to go through the process of installation very well, but crashes on the stage finish ("product configuration"). Eventually it times out.
    • Once in this case, the installer downloads a supposed solution of the HP Web site. He told me that it is fixing the problem and asks me to restart the computer, saying it will continue after the restart. After I restart, the procedure does not continue, and the problem is not fixed - all the behaviors I describe above are still occurring.
    • Also downloaded one file with other solutions supposed to this question. They do not work. For the most part, they are variations on "run the setup software again", preceded by various other measures. However, when I do this, it re-not installing - it is a completely different window, and if I try to go back to the installation procedure, he refuses, telling me the software is already installed. (And yet when I try to open the solution Center, he always tells me it is not installed.)
    • Tonight is the third time I tried to troubleshoot it. On three occasions, I just gave up in frustration after a few variations of the cover above.
    • I'm this end =><= to="" going="" all="" office="" space="" on="" this="" printer="" and="" getting="" a="" new="" one="" based="" on="" the="" abhp="" principle="" -="">Anything But HP.

I can't emphasize enough that it worked in the past and this basis still printing very well (with the exception of some strange problems with certain PDF files), but scanning has broken since my last round of hardware upgrades and refuses to be fixed.

It's incredibly frustrating. Someone just make it work with minimal BS, as he has done before.

I realize, this is a follow up very, very late, but apparently the problem has something to do with the 32-bit version of Windows 7 running. I recently installed the 64 bit version and now have no problem with any HP software.

Well, except that sometimes he asked my permission to do an update then fails to actually download the update (I get the same "could not connect to content url" error message that many others reported here).

Other than that, which is slightly annoying, but doesn't really affect what anyone, everything works fine now.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless: OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless does not respond after a certain time

I use my wireless OfficeJet Pro 8000 for quite awhile now, but I have a problem that I can't solve:

Initially, it works allright. But after a few hours, it seems to go to sleep. And it does not print jobs more. I have to put the printer 'off' and 'on '.  After that, it will print the work queue.

I searched a timer as issues in the web interface of the printer, but can't find anything that points to a solution.

The printer is connected wireless to my router, using a 'fixed' IP address

    Can someone help me, please?

    Thankx

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?

How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit.

It's strange.  Looks like you have a second paper tray and put it to the default tray.  The second paper tray only supports the types of paper that show on your list.  It's strange because unless you have purchased a second tray paper, plus model has one.  Does only the high-end model.  Other than that, only certain types of media can be duplex, so if you have double-sided printing, it can limit the selection.  I'll watch what else could be the cause and get back to you.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, HP printer wizard installs not when the software is installed from the CD

HP Officejet Pro 8600 e printer all in one

    Windows 7

I had Assistant printer installed and working on my computer at least a year, then there was an update and it no longer works.

I uninstalled the device and the software and reinstalled both on-site and directly from the CD without success.

The only error I get is when I start everything first install it and there is a red "x" next to the update of windows.

The installation process ends, the computer will recognize the printer and I am able to print but I have no control any function because none of these options in the wizard for the printer are turned on.  They are all grayed out.   The most important thing I need is the archiving of received faxes.

Someone else in my family had the same problem, but was able to reinstall from the Web site and doesn't have any more problems.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi liluno18,

I want to help you with this question. I send you this link to the Microsoft forum on how to fix the red X on windows update. Follow the response from Joseph M.

So I suggest you do a complete uninstall software of the JO 8600 and reinstalling the software once you have windows update works again.

  • OfficeJet Pro 862: Officejet Pro 8625 not print wireless

Printer worked and printed wireless for a few months and then all of a sudden it stopped being able to print wireless.

Everything seems correct, wireless connection, print test paper, etc.

But when I print a word file of MS office since T430 victory 8.1 portable, the printing pool show status 'Impression' and then disappeared. In the Officejet 8625 Panel, there is a "Print report" message flashed in very shot time. Then nothing happans.

I tried to reinstall the printer, use the HP printer help and HP print and Scan doctor, even check the status of the printer in Web Serive printer, everything looks Ok. In the embedded Web server, tools-> Magagement job-> Job Monitor, the stutas of work says 'done '.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hey @ziyoo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you to solve the problem that you are experiencing when you try to print from your computer Windows 8.1 wireless to your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-all-in-one printer today. Thank you for all the troubleshooting steps you tried before reaching out for support. Right now, I don't think the wireless printing problem that you are experiencing is caused by your printer or your network connection. On the contrary, I believe that the wireless printing problem is caused by your operating system.

Recently, Microsoft has released a hotfix to correct network printing issues in their Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. These wireless printing problems consist of 'partial printing' and questions 'offline '. The questions seem to affect several brands and models of wireless printers. Can I have it please click here to download the fix. Once the site opens, please click on the available hotfix downloadbutton. Please follow the prompts on the screen to install the hotfix. Once the hotfix has been installed please try again to print.  If printing still does not work you need to restart your computer to allow the Hot Fix to take affect. Once your computer turns please try again to print.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!
