Wireless router E4200 and share a printer on the subnet

Hi all

Now I've been tinkering for 4 days trying to resolve a problem with this, but I couldn't understand it, so I'm hoping to find someone who can help.

My question is sharing a printer on my main network and the wireless,.

the description of the parameter:

I have my main network 10.1.1.0/24 (RV082)

I plugged the E4200 router in an IP 10.1.1.82 and the wireless network is 192.168.1.0/24

Set up a printer/scanner with an IP 192.168.1.72 to share on both networks.

Now everyone on the 192.168.1.0 network is able to access and print but none on 10.1.1.0

I put a static route on the RV082 to direct applications of the printer be redirect to 10.1.1.82 but without success.

The E4200 is configured by default out of the box, I had to just put the static IP address, gateway and DNS and, of course, the key to wireless security, nothing else.

the NAT is enabled on the E4200 and RIP is disabled, I tested the connection by disabling NAT and allowing the RIP, during which I was able to connect to the printer, but Internet went down for wireless users all (192.168.1.0 network)

So I need help to solve this problem please.

1. I would recommend to connect the printer to the main network. He two subnets can access the printer regardless of the configuration on the E4200.

2. If you want to only an extension of your existing network wireless, I would recommend using the bridge mode on the E4200. In this way, wired and wireless networks are in the same IP subnet and everything is much easier.

3. with NAT on (default), the LAN is inaccessible from the side WAN. This is why your RV protects your local network from the internet. And that is why the printer is not accessible from the RV subnet unless you configure the port forwarding on the E4200.

4. it is thus with active NAT, you must send the necessary ports for printing on the E4200 and you must configure computers on 10.1.1.0/24 to use 10.1.1.82 to print the wireless network uses 192.168.1.72.

4. with disabled NAT, you must configure a static route on the RV to route 192.168.1.0/24 to 10.1.1.82.

5. with disabled NAT wireless clients have no internet because the RV does not NAT the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. The RV is that NAT because it is own LAN IP subnet 10.1.1.0/24 but not for 192.168.1.0/24. This means that the RV will forward packets 192.168.1. * unmodified in the internet where they are rejected. You must configure the RV to NAT for example 192.168.1.0/24. You must apply to the Cisco Small Business community, whether or not this is supported on the RV.

So in summary, I recommend to use Bridge on the E4200 mode and function as a single IP subnet. That would solve all your problems.

  • Windows7 home group sharing printers displays error 0 x 00000001, PC to join the Group House can not see shared printers but can see and share all files between the computers in the home group

This issue just started about 4 days after years of good impression on the computers in the homegroup. Nothing I know came to start this problem.

Printers cannot be seen by the remote PC that needs to connect to printers via homegroup. Printers, 2, a laser and the other color ink jet, showed both on the remote PC called but also showed "offline", I tried to find ways to put on line, but nothing could fill this function. I read a suggestion that I should remove the printer and then recharge it. I removed the printer and is where I found that I couldn't see the printer on the network of homegroup to reload.

I rebooted the bridge and the two PCs and turned off the firewall and virus protection software and closed the Group residential and the recreated homegroup and pretty much any other start-up base and installation process you can think, and nothing gets my functional printers through the remote PC. I even physically removed one of the printers of the main PC and deleted the software and then reconnected and recharged and have made sure I have the latest drivers and it made no difference at all.

  • Print the PDF document with the name and the date and time of printing from the printer

    Hello

I am fairly new to this...

I have a PDF document and when I print it, I want the name of the printer and the print date/time to be shown on the printer output.

I have several printers (some common and some on the network) and do not necessarily use the default. I would like the name of the printer used to be printed on the document.

With : var = this.getField ("Printer"); h.value = app.printerNames; I am able to get the list of all available printers, but I just need one that is used.

For the date and time, using the var f = this.getField ("Today"); f.value = util.printd ("j/mmm/yyyy", new Date()); gives me the time of when the document is opened, not when the document is printed. (or maybe I'm missing something?)

I guess the question of the date/time is not major, because there is usually not much difference between the time that you open the document and the time you print it.

I'm more interested in the name of the printer.

I use Acrobat 9 Pro to edit my PDF document.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you!

The name of the printer is a property of the PrintParams object. This property is updated before the PDF is sent to the printer and the name of the printer selected catalogue user interface is available in the ' Will Print' event.»

In the document 'Will Print' action, you can use:

    pp var = this.getPrintParams ();
    this.getField('PrinterName').value = pp.printerName;

  • Cisco show and share to publish on the internet

    Dear Experts

We have new deployment for Cisco SNS, and we publish SNS on the internet. I need help to do it and any recommendations, please.

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hi Richard

Solve you your problem? I have to make sure of the following.

    1. you can access external SNS internally.

2-natting is ok between IP Public & private.

    3. for the DNS record, make sure that the name must be the same on the inside & outside. For example internlly vod.bnp.med.ca and create a record public vod.bnp.med.ca should be the same FQDN, otherwise your SNS will never work. For authentication, you must publish the DMM.

Note: your question this internal FQDN differs from the external FQDN of the SNS.

    Thank you

  • My Lr5.7.1 does not recognize my printer Epson XP-760 and after customize printing in the print Module, printing options (lower right AND Main Menu > Archive > print) are disabled

I am running Lr5.7.1 on an iMac, retina 5K (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1).) My printer (Epson XP-760) works fine with all other applications, but not with Lr! After choosing my printing preferences in the print Module, it works if I select print file and save it to the desktop and then return to preview and print from there. This is not what I want. I expect that the print button (bottom-right) should be disabled and not disabled and send to the printer directly from in the Lr print Module. It doesn't matter if the printer is turned on Wi - Fi or USB (or even both).

What is the problem? What else can you or should I do to make it work as I hope?

    Gunnar

My Swedish is not good, but I think that you print on file. Did you try chaning where it says JPEG it changed printer?

You might also on 5.7. On Lr if you go to the Help\System of information, what is the version number? If she is 5.7, you're not on 5.7.1. Yo can still update manually, go to Adobe - Lightroom: for Macintosh: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1, download the dmg and install.

  • Modals declarative apex 5 and shares close post on the source page

Hi, I have a question about the interaction between the source page and the new modals declarative apex 5.

Let's say I have a region report on my source page that displays a set of data, and I have a page of the modal dialog with a form to add data to the underlying table. When I create a new entry through the modal I want to refresh the region to report on the source page and triggers an alert indicating that a new line has been added after the modal has closed.

What is the right way to manage the communication between pages? Currently the source page must be refreshed to show the newly added lines, but I prefer to handle this by a partial page refresh.

Looks I can create dynamic action shoot the source page in a closed event dialog box, but to manage the appropriate specific situation it seems that when I spring the dialogue box that I'll also need to follow the particular action to indicate what I wanted to do in the modal, specifically, say , a vs update has create, etc.. Then, when the dialog box is closed, I'll need search sort field that I used in the field of the source to determine what has been up to the spring and markup dialog box then appropriate measures through the DA.

It is the opinion of the community is the best way to go, or is there an easier way to link an action directly in the dialog box modal back to the source page?

    Thank you

OK, I think I understand how to do this. I do not necessarily understand the mechanics of it, but now I can predict the outcome.

Let's say I create a button on page 1 that opens a modal dialog box on page 2. I also have a region of report with update also buttons pointing to the modal form on page 2.

I can set up 2 dynamic actions of close dialogue on page 1.

For the confirmation to create I can choose an event "Dialog closed", a selection of type "Button" and choose my button create, then the real action I can add my alert to successfully create.

For confirmation of the update I can choose a selection type of 'Région' and choose my region to report that contains my Update buttons and add real action triggering my update alert.

The designation of type and region/button/item selection is the differentiator that allowed me to adapt it accordingly.

The modal dialog box is actually an iframe pointing to the page of dialogue that is dynamically added to the body of the page source when it is called. The url contains a long 'cs =' string added to it. The "source" button also includes a similar ' cs = "query string. I guess that these values are what they are binding between them and allow the good communication between the source and iframe page to enable dynamic actions to synchronize properly.

I have a photosmart c4780 wireless. Got a new Airport Express Wireless yesterday. It is connected to my MacBook Pro without problem, but I can't get the printer to connect to it.

I have a MacBook Pro, OS v. 10.6. My HP Photosmart C4780 worked perfectly on my old system wireless (Apple product). Yesterday I bought a new wireless Airport Express and I can't get the printer to recognize the new system. Where it shows the name of the printer in the system, the box below (called location) is empty. I tried to put the name of my Airport in it, but no luck. I know it just needs to be connected internally somehow, but can't find where the information goes. I don't have a USB port. The printer is connected to a modem, and the modem is connected to the radio (is this is what is called the router?) Airport Express - just like it was yesterday when he was working with my old wireless.

  • B210A Photosmart - server connection error and does not connect to the wireless router

I have problems setting up and to connect my router to my new printer b210A. Everything goes well with the initial configuration, and when asked to connect to the network at the start, it works. Then he said that the printer requires updates, downloads of updates, reboots, asks me if I want to activate eprint and as soon as I said 'Ok', I get a "the server connection error" and it is then no longer connected to the network. When I get out of the "server connection error" screen and attempt to reconnect to the network, he says 'Success', prints a Test report wireless, but never connects.

It's the 2nd printer that I have had in a week, given that the person of HP online chatting told me my first printer had problems of "hardware", after experiencing the same problems and I'll be recommended. So - I did, and now I'm running into the same issues. The number of 800 was NO HELP - after recommended I have unplug and reconnect, then telling me there were server errors (when the printer was not connected to the network).

We will set an IP address of the printer with a special focus on DNS domains:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). You can find the beach DHCP from the router using its internal settings page or in its manual. Use the CD that came with your router or type the IP address of the router (ends para.1) in a browser.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway

-For the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the second use.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
