Wirless network on Tecra M6 low signal

Recently, I bought a Tecra M6. It's a good sturdy laptop but I noticed that wirless receives a signal is lower than about other Toshiba laptop such as Satellite 15 ", being very close to your WiFi access point to connect convinet wirlissly

I put t know what card you have on the Tecra M6, but maybe this isn't the same type on the laptop Satellite.
In addition, there are different WLan standards: A, G, B, etc.
Each standard supports of different properties. Also different WLan cards are more compatible with the router like other wireless network cards.

But, perhaps it is only a matter of setting WLan.
You can try to enter the WLan card properties in Device Manager. In the properties, you should find the tab to advantage. There are different options like signal strength or the energy saving mode. You can try to change some settings, for example to disable the power saving mode.

In addition, you can try to check if there is an update of the WLan drive. You can visit the manufacture of cars of WLan and pilot the site of Toshiba.

But if it doesn't help then I guess there's not much to do.

    Dear motorcycle team,

First of all a big thank you to the motorcycle team together to provide a beautiful and excellent mobile phone at a competitive price in the Indian market. Moto X Play Rulez...

Come back my mobile 2 days. One thing I noticed in my last 2 days of use is signal capture is not as good as it should be. If I go to low or no signal box and then come back to an area where I get signal, unless the signal is very good bike X play shows emergency call message. I have to manually go into the Mobile network settings and choose the operator network options and sign up automatically for the return signal. I've been using Moto E 1 St gen is the same area, but has not been faced with this question... Maybe something with the 5.1.1 build bike x play...

Only if the signal is top notch is the high efficiency of the range, it must be done manually and the signal falls also intermittently.

Any thoughts... Everyone in the face of these questions...

  • Computer "is" more low-signal router instead of range extender

I've seen a few similar posts; but nothing seems exactly like my problem; or I missed it.

I have a router WRT54G and WRE54G range extender; seem to be working well and talk to each other.  (Took a while, but I got it; and it has been fine since.)   I connected to the signal stronger WRE fast when Internet and slow Internet when WRT connected to the lower signal (which is further) - just like one would expect.

The problem: my computer (only place Office) will be unrelated to the stronger signal "Range Extender".  I'll work some time or leave and come back - and the link will be back signal Extender, fast router signal slow, lower.  I can click on my profile; Connect and sometimes come back on the most powerful signal.  (If not, try again and again until it crashes into the most powerful signal.)  [Even with "site survey" - I select Connect to the stronger signal, but it seems to connect randomly either.]

    - & - Another post, I think I could do something with the MAC addresses - for example, block my USB MAC of the router wireless receiver, so he 'only' to connect to the Extender.  (Better yet, I can say my network connection to connect only to the MAC of the extender?)

    Operating system is - 2000

Here's something I put in place earlier - for the most part just repeats above:

    Equipment:

LinkSys wireless router; WRT54G; 6 worm.  Firmware 1.00.7 (now 1.02.7)

LinkSys Range Extenders;  WRE54G; Firmware Ver 3 3.01.01 (now 3.04.01.)

USB LinkSys network adapter: WUSB54G Ver 4

-WHY it keep coming back to the lowest signal from router?  (The big question).

-Why, when I do a site survey, select the strongest signal and select Connect, enter the WEP code, he still occasionally connect back right at the lowest signal from router, even if I've highlighted the stronger signal Repeater when I hit the Connect button?

-If I create profiles with the most powerful signal, it is always the same (that is, sometimes it connects the signal the most powerful signal "Extender" and sometimes the Repeater weaker signal, except that I do not need to enter the WEP code if I connect to the profile instead of the signal of view survey.)

-According to information online, I found that the router must be on 'Firmware version 2.02.2' to be compatible WRE;   But - if I check for the latest version of the firmware for WRT54G version 6, it is 1.02.7 - does that mean the Extender is incompatible with my router?

-Are there a way to "force" the wireless network connection to bind to a specific MAC address - so I can restrict to a stronger signal of the Extender?

Scrooge, thanks for the suggestions.    Earlier, I tried the following solution, based on a similar condition a few - this on another post:

Solution: Configure the router MAC filtering does not to allow connections to the MAC address of the wireless USB network card.

Since I tried this a few days ago I was followed and it worked.  So, before he would keep switching to the smaller Repeater link.  In saying the Repeater from the heat to let the link not only the Extender to post a link and it is now to stay connected to the Extender and the speed remains constant.

  • Low signal Amplitude on PXI-4461

I currently use two PXI to generate an analog signal through LabVIEW 2009 to an oscilloscope:

PXI-4461 runs below the attachment (properly labeled).  It also produces the green line on the graph.  It seems OK on the oscilloscope.

PXI-5412 runs the other (properly labeled) attachment below.  It produces the yellow line on the graph.  This amplitude is measured properly (or so it shows in the margin of the image), however it gives me a warning of "Low Amplitude of the Signal" and displays the wave that is much smaller than the "correct" version of the 4461.

    * Note: I guess it's possible that the PXI-4461 (green) is false and the PXI-5412 (yellow) is right, but as the PXI-5412 (yellow) produces the error, I am led to believe that this is the problem.

I could use help to find out what could be causing this inconsistency and how I could do to fix this problem.

This has nothing to do with LabVIEW.  This is the oscilloscope all partners.  The reason why the yellow signal is smaller than green is because your ranges are different.  Look at the bottom of your oscilloscpe: Ch2 said "500mV by division" while channel 3 said "1V by division.  You probably get a "low signal amplitude" because you report is less than '2 divisions' and offer thus the scope allows you to change this.  There is a button named "Autoscale" your bezel that you can hit if you want.

  • Low signal strength, high-end hardware

My old adapter dead netgear recently. It has just stopped working. It worked fine until now, if a little slow, but he never gave me peaks of lag or sudden failures. I got a new Linksys adapter and went with the G because my old netgear adapter is a G. I noticed the signal strength is low, and when I played games online I was sometimes a hint of lag. I decided it might be time to update my router as well. So, I bought a N of Linksys wireless router. No change, still a power low signal and occasional spikes of lag. So I traded my linksys for Linksys Wireless-N router adapter. Higher speeds, but always a low signal strength. My router is down hard connected to a cable modem. That's about 30 feet of the card, with a couple of walls between the two. Should there be any reason why will not improve my signal strength, and I continue to experience spikes obstructive gal? I'd switch Netgear, because I never had this problem before trying to Linksys? Some advice, please.

Not even a Word. Thanks for making my decision, Linksys.

  • Extremely low signal wireless unable to connect to any network

    Hello

I bought just a Studio 1535 and can not get the wireless to connect to any network unless I put the computer 2 feet or closer to the router.

I am running Vista Home Premium, and according to the Device Manager my wireless is a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini card.

When I'm right next to a router, I can connect either password protected or not.  Also, I have other computers can connect to each network without any problems.  I know that this is not a router problem.  I tried with several different routers and several different locations.

I can see a long list of points connect wireless, each with what reads like excellent signal.  However, when I tell the computer to connect, I get a screen "Windows cannot connect to the ____."  When I select diagnose the problem, it says "Wireless association failed because windows did not receive response from the access point or wireless router.

Dell support will not help me because I bought the computer at Best Buy and Geek Squad wants to send my computer is turned off (which I had for a day) to be diagnosed.  I would rather here check everything first...

  • Cloning of mass average Debian over the network on Tecra M5

    Right,

    Here go us!

I am part of a team of support engineers for a University where we lend laptops to our students for periods of weeks (up to) 12. All of our laptops are identical Tecra M5 with a preconfigured image of XP Pro SP2.

Currently, we use the method of "Insert the XP CD"-> "Boot to CD"-> "Format disk" (to guarantee no student left courseowrk on machine)-> "Install XP via CD"-> "use backup XP to restore a picture."

This system works... but takes half an hour to make each machine from start to finish.

I am competent PC user and am aware of the opportunity to multicast an image to a group of PC/laptops... such as detailed below to my success up to now...

I just finished setting up a single server (a powerful RM P4, 1 GB DDR2, 160GB SATA & 100MBit LAN) to the customer several cloning using Debian Etchy, DRBL and CloneZilla server.

Client machines are laptop computers Tecra M5 and are all on a private LAN directly to the image of 'server '.

    (1) we can successfully PXE boot ("magic packet"), all machines via our switch (a 40 port NetGear fast ethernet) and all machines begin to start - this is achieved thanks to a nifty bash script, I wrote "wakeonlan" machines with 1 second interval (only 10 machines both for stability)
    (2) the DRBL APS IP server address to all machines that they PXE boot
    (3) the startup of machines in our option CloneZilla (Linux network, MemTest, Full CloneZilla to restore the disk image)
    (4) the machines all receive them with SUCCESS the disk image (a gzip'd SD clone of one of the Tecra M5, which already has our installer of Windows XP)... Although quite slowly when + 10 machines are connected to the local network (I'm working on it)

NOW, the CloneZilla server is configured to let the machines "poweroff" once the image has been copied on the hard disk of laptop and finished in synchronization with the server.

The Linux "shutdown" with "poweroff" command is called from a SSH (fully automated using the control of CloneZilla center - a button of window BACK basic writing style in Linux) and all machinery, copied once the hard disk image, should theoretically then off COMPLETELY as if they had been "naturally stop. For example, by clicking on "Start-> Shutdown" in Windows.

I installed Debian on one of laptops and run from the simple "halt Pei" which stop the laptop and called ACPI to turn off the machine... it works as if I had done "Start-> Shutdown" in Windows. So not bad here.

I try then "halt Pei" remote machine using SSH from the debian server.

    Our network topology is simple:

    Server-> Switch-> customers (up to 10)

'Customer' Debian runs the stop that she has received the signal "halt-p" from the server and begins at the stop. Great!

However, just before the laptop actually turns off, it stops. Laptops remains "under tension" and the "power" and "SlimSelect" LED remains lit.

Note: I even tried to remove the drive of DVD of SlimSelect that the Tecras come up with - without success.

    _Things tried: _

    * sudo sh: * ssh x [email protected]_IP stop Pei

    * batch_halt.sh file:*
    #! / bin/bash
    SSH x [email protected]_IP killall-9 - l
    SSH x [email protected]_IP init 0
SSH x [email protected]_IP stop Pei

To hopefully reach-> kill all processes-> enter runlevel 0-> halt and 'off' the laptop

The local network is NOT connected to an external network is absolutely safe.

It seems as if the 'Pei halt' command locally is the only thing that will fuel actually off the machine... all 'remotely' orders still achieve 95% completion... we only result to the power and SlimSelect LEds lit-> which means that the laptop is still under tension (!) and thus reducing the life expectancy of the power supply.

Is there someone who might know how to get a "fully working" basic ssh stop through switch work?

    Thank you very much...

    Ice Ice Babeh

    Hello
I think it is a very specific question and I can only advise you to check the BIOS settings. Maybe there is an option that you set for this work entirely.
Have you tried some Linux forums as well? There are often good instructions on these topics as yours.

    Welcome,

  • The low signal strength WET610N

My WET610N is on a 5 GHz wireless network and is located about 30 feet from my router (Netgear C3700) with a line of direct sight.  The 5 GHz network uses channel 11 operation up to 145Mbs.  The WET610N shows a signal strength of 28%.  My laptop wireless, running "WiFi channel Scanner" is positioned near the WET610N and shows the signal strength 85% on the same 5 GHz network.

A Speedtest.net test on the laptop computer watch ~ 60Mbs speeds on a connection from Time Warner ISP download 100Mbs.  The WET610N, running the same test of Speedtest.net shows only the 5Gbs of download speeds.

The intensity of the signal would be the cause for the lower results of speedtest?  Wireless Setup is not that many configuration options.  Which parameters can affect the intensity of the WET610N signal?

BTW, I tried the same tests on the network wireless 2.4 GHz, with similar results.

OK, I just made a major discovery, but I'm still not sure on how to correct what I discovered.

On a whim, I unplugged my desktop computer, which is a system 8.1 of Windows, the WET610N and plugged my laptop, which is still under Windows 7.  When I ran the test, Speedtest.net, my laptop registered 97Mbps download speeds!

Thus, it seems that the WET610N works beautifully and it's something on my desktop does not work properly.  I recently upgraded to the Windows 7 Desktop to Windows 8.1, and I remember very well that the network provided quickly enough before the upgrade.  Maybe it's the network on Windows 8.1 driver.

Anyway, I guess I should mark this issue as resolved, since this is obviously not a problem with the WET610N.  If anyone has any advice about network speed using Windows 8.1, your answer would be approciated.

  • 5 GHz network connection is much lower than the 2.4 GHz of E3000 connection?

I have an E3000 who has double bands, 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz.  On the computer at home, I have a USB adapter Wireless-N dual band who sees the two networks.  I primariliy use the net of 5 GHz for the XBox 360 and the net for 2.4 GHz computers, but I noticed that the computers all to see the net with a much lower 5 GHz signal strength.  Reading the marketing hype, I expected the opposite.  Obviously in this case, it's the same router, the same computer in the same physical location and the same card.  Why he would see the net 2.4 GHz with very good to excellent signal strength and 5 GHz net as very low or weak signal strength?

This article can help you find what is the cause of bad signal.

Don't forget, with the increase in the frequency, scope decreases generally. Accordingly, 5 GHz systems are generally less than those operating in the 2.4 GHz band.

  • Latitude C640 with 1470 mini pci wifi has very low signal strength

I just installed 1470 broadcom mini pci card with the 4.10.40.0 (from decompression R115321.exe) on a Dell Latitude C640 driver version.

The card sees the network and connects, but I must be withinn 5 feet from the router, and even in this case the signal is 'Very low' (an or maybe 2 bars). I can communicate with various other wireless cards on other laptops with the full signal strength during the major part of the House.

Why the intensity of the signal would be so bad?

Is the 1470 is not very sensitive? the driver is bad for my setup? is there an INCOMPATIBILITY between the 1470 and the DLink DI-524 router? Is this an indication that the antenna on my wifi card is damaged? (I got it on ebay)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Tecra S11 - low sound level

I recently bought a S11 and as a former owner of the Tecra line, I was very disappointed with the Audio level. I realize that the S11 is a Business and not a multimedia machine, but I have to sit nearby and make sure that there is no noise in the room to hear the speakers edge.

Is there a way to fix this? Even 50% more audio would be a huge improvement.

    Hi Pman,

I m not a Tecra S11 owner but I can't imagine that the sound level is so low that you described.

What program to use for listening to music?
What type of files you have more music?
    What operating system you have?

I can recommend the player media VLC media player. That s a tool of freeware that is really great and the audio plays and empty files.

Make sure also that you have higher and you are trying to update the audio driver.
