• Interfaces of WISN gone after switch-upgrade

  I have a 6509 with a sup720 (regular, not a 10GE) and a blade WISN in the Groove 3.

  It worked fine until I did an update of the IOS on the 6509.  I went from s72033-ipservicesk9_wan - mz.122 - 18.SXF13 s72033-advipservicesk9_wan - mz.122 - 33.SXI3.

  Now, I can't reach my WISN-blade more. When I look in the configuration running on the switch there is no gigabit on module 3 interfaces, in the config it even does not mention a 3 module.

  However when I do a "module to show" the WISN is reported with a status of "ok".  When I do a "show WISN module 3 controller 1 status," he also told me that his 'Oper-up' and all addresses are in place, even the service IP-adres (that I do not understand because he can get this address by DHCP from the switch).

  The WISN is running 6.0.188.0.

  I have one of the VRTX chassis with two blades installed.  Now, I don't know what happened, but I was connected to the CMC web interface and activated the DRAC for each of the blades, then I've lost the ability to connect to the CMC.  It goes directly to the switch management console.  On the front LCD, CMC is never able to get an IP address.  I can't figure out what I did.  Any help and suggestions and criticisms are greatly appreciated!

  Yes.  I'm not sure what would not, but after connecting to the console and do a factory reset, it has acquired an IP address and I was able to start to set up again.  I suspect it is a setting of VLAN that I screwed up when I was setting up the network.  I was much more careful this time.

• Several AP 1142 suddenly lose SSID

  Hello

  I wonder if someone can help send me in the right direction to diagnose the following problem?

  We have two sites on a single controller of a WISN blade and both sites use 1142 AP.

  In recent days, the two sites have reported the Wireless does not. The check on the controller and the WCS network reports as being fine, with all appear and even WCS reports power radio etc.

  However, on the spot, in one instance a complete hotel and the second being an entire floor of a Halls of Residence, there is no sign of wireless network. Not one single SSID (we have 2) is broadcast and same Airmagnet Survey Pro tool is unable to detect any wireless activity.

  We have been very intrigued by this and finally solved the problem by recycling PoE interfaces on switches on board, causing a reboot of the AP, on which the SSID has begun to be rebroadcast.

  The error means apparently: this error message is generated by the towers on the network when a substitution of wlan is configured for a wlan, but this particular wlan is not advertised through the LAP.

  We do not configure override WLAN so I don't know why we're gettting this error... If someone can enlighten us?

• Configuring the Cisco UCS 5108 ports

  Hi all

  I'm new in the world of the Cisco UCS server and am setting up Cisco UCS 5108 blade server. The server has two Cisco UCS 6324 interconnections fabric I did the initial Setup on and I try to configure the ports for the blades. Looking through the various articles and tutorials after setting global policies, I see the whole world establishment of uplink and server ports. What I read the uplink ports are plugged directly into the switches (I work with two cisco nexus switches), and server ports are used to connect to the chassis.

  I wonder once the configured ports server what exactly are supposed to connect to? I assumed they would also connect to the switch nexus with the uplink ports. However, every time I set up the server ports and plug them in, the switch doesn't seem to have flooded and we lose all connectivity. If I unplug, the connection is restored almost immediately.

  The current configuration, that I work with is two ports uplink on each fabric interconnect (4 2 total in each switch of nexus), two server ports on each (4 2 total, in every nexus switch). The only other element connected to the nexus switches is a SAINT who will be configured as a boot and storage of the UCS 5108.

  Looks like you have a Mini UCS (6324), with 4-port 10 GB (each FI/IOM) with port QSFP 40 GB that can provide network connectivity linking rising, or if configured as a server port, could be used to connect to a server in a rack compatible Cisco UCS, or connect to a 5108 additional with IOM 2204XP chassis.  The blades installed in your initial 5108 chassis 6324 FI/IOM of housing have internal connectivity to the FIs / IOM without the need to configure ports 'server'...

  Unified ports can also be configured as a FC ports for connectivity of FC switch upstream or directly related to CF Storage processors.

  After having watched the datasheet, let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll try to address them.

  You'll not need actually configure ports such as ports 'server' unless you connect servers in a rack.

  Please configure any ethernet SFP type connected to your switches nexus upstream as 'network' uplinks.  I guess that you don't plan on a disjoint config layer 2 (where each FI has several sets of uplinks will different devices upstream, or the same device with different VLANS allowed on each link).    If you are, we can have a separate thread about how you need to configure that.

  Hi all, we are currently a slight dilemma and need some advice/help with the installation of clustered environments in VC 4.1.

  Here's our installation composed of 2-pole in a data center:

  Cluster_01

  VCA Mode on Intel 45nm Core 2 Xeon

  2 x servers Dell PowerEdge M600 blade installed with ESX 3.5 (failure of waiting to rebuild with esxi 4.1)

  4 Dell PowerEdge M600 blade servers with ESXi 4.1 x
  E5450 CPU Chipset
  Enough clustered resources to satisfy a host failure.

  Cluster_02

  People with disabilities VCA

  2 x Blade Server PowerEdge of Dell M610 installed with ESX 4.0 (failure of waiting to rebuild with esxi 4.1)
  E5540 CPU Chipset
  Resources on the host for the loss of a node in the cluster.

  * We combine the hosts in a single cluster and enjoy the VCA mode the question?

  Because the virtual machine are running on a recent processor without activating EVC, you can't allow him to 'downgrade' function CPU.

• Connect IBM BladeCenter to the existing network

  I have a BladeCenter chassis with 2 blades installed with nortel esx 3.5 and 2 ethernet switches layer 2/3 and I'm testing how best to link this to my network environment.

  I'm not a networking person, I just want to know how of uplink my blade going to my regular switches. My question is: what's the point of having 4nics by blade for balance so then I uplink my blade switches with a single 1 GB eth cable? What is the right way to do this?

  Another thing, I noticed the configuration of VLAN is the following: consider that I used two external switches to test, I used a sw to test the lan and I attached a cable to each blade switch this switch and everything seems fine. then I used the other external switch to simulate my DMZ, I joined a new cable from each of the blade goes to this switch and a port goes into the FORWARDING State while the other is in a State of DEADLOCK. now, I would like to understand why this is happening.

  A common way to do this would be to spend 2 x 2GbE trunks by blade, one of each truck at a different base switch. Maximizes availability and increases the throughput. There are many other things to consider so I suggest that read you on the VMware doco.

  I understand that ESXi is OS independent due to the removal of the "Service Console", which is based on Linux.  My question is "until this means I don't need Linux to install ESXi? and what does it need to be installed on the physical host computer or it could be a VM as well? and finally is - anyone know where I can get a video of how on this configuration?

• I can't install my game START OF DARKNESS BLADE, coz every time I try it repeat, error 1305. Error reading file!

  (2) how you try to install the game? What is a disk installation or a set of file?

  If you try to install the game on Windows 7 or Windows 8 so I would like to inform you that there are few games that are not compatible with these operating systems. • Cisco UCS B200 blade with installed vCenter

  Don't put the vCenter on one chassis 5108 blades and can control the ESXi hosts on the other blades? If this is the case, on the design, it's possible? Install the vCenter on a single blade with ESXi or ESXi?

  as mentioned above, it is possible

  also the best design of practice in a certain measure, it is preferable to have VCenter in a virtual machine to take the advantage of using Vmotion HA for example features to reduce the risk of losing your vCenter because of HW faular for example

  You may have a blade for VCenter use in hunting and other blad for Vcenter backup for example hunting another!

  Once you have the "rubber ducky" antenna, it is easy to change, and you do NOT have to disassemble the phone. Basically, I stuck two links where you can buy replacement i325 antenna, which fits very well (and might even be the same part number for the i365 anyway).

  A place where lighting is good (or use a flashlight), pull up the antenna (extendable) factory completely and look down into the socket. You should see a black ring on the sides of the socket and a shiny metal bottom of the socket. Look carefully at the black ring, note there are two shallow vertical grooves in the side walls of the black ring. (see photo below)

  Get a screwdriver flat blade which fits perfectly into these slots, so the blade just a little bit more closely that the slots so you can adapt it to all the way to the bottom of the socket. Align the flat blade with two slots and tilt the screwdriver just a bit, so you get solid and wedging between the driver & slots action. (see photo below) Don't jam the pilot too hard, you could destroy the phone, or you could make it more difficult to unscrew the extendable antenna if you push too hard on the side.

  While practice moderate pressure downward and into one of the slots in the side wall (i.e. pushing down to the angle of the pilot), upgrade the driver slowly and watch to make sure that the black ring turns with the screwdriver. If it is not running, you will need to find a better fit screwdriver, or push a little harder if the blade digs a little more in the black plastic ring, so you can ask enough torque on the ring to unscrew.

  Once you have the ring completely unscrewed, you will see an insert threaded brass at the bottom of the antenna Jack if the i365 (see photo below). Just pass your new antenna in the threaded hole, grasp the base of the antenna rubber with the tips of the fingers and tighten completely.

  I couldn't find under the i365 accessories, but one that matches the i325 seems to be the same piece, and mine installed easily and works very well.

  The repair is no help whatsoever. It is said a WSSD m2 is supported 'model', but there is no picture of it in the manual or the indication when it is on the models 'select '. Those who have it use a version of m2 (connector three blades 2 not) so your Evo 840 would not work even if you had one of the models 'select '. I think that on those who have it that the port m2 is located on the motherboard so if you don't see it you are not among the selection.
