• MacBook Pro with the Retina display problem

  I put my 2013-model MacBook with Retina display to sleep and tried to turn it on the next day, but he had no answer.   Hi everyone - I use both the CC2014 and the old versions CC of the Media Encoder to convert WMVs for use in Captivate 5.5. The software has been installed on a new machine, so initially when I did drag an item in the queue (in two versions), Windows Source and output would show only black and would make black only.

  Later, I discovered that Quicktime must be installed I did (for Windows 7).

  Now the two encoders show the cut content to half way down in the Source and the release of windows. content reproduced and when it is encoded (as a flv in CC for example), it displays remove off as well.

  The basic video settings are set to Match Source is not a question of culture. I have two monitors and have seen oddities when questions arise on different monitors - the graphics card is a NVidia Quadro K2100M.

  Any Format choose to exit, the result is the same. The software knows the correct proportions of the source video, only half superior is cut off - that is black.

  Is this something experienced by someone else?

  Yes confirmed the answer given by marisela2013 in the link more than half of the video is missing (black screen) - Help! regarding the removal of said KB Microsoft update fixes the problem.

  It solves the problem under a new laptop of Dell Win 7 with CC2014 and CC installed with this update removed.

  This problem occurs in the mode Windows safe?
  Use own graphics cards drivers in windows safe mode and if this doesn t matter are present in safe mode so I guess it could be a graphics driver. But if this problem persists in safe mode then it s a hardware malfunction.
  In this case, the only way to solve it is to contact the Toshiba service partner in your country.

I got a bluescreen yesterday: Windows could not explain it, but Event Viewer said NORTON was trying to start. Tips from around the Web says to remove elements of Symantec/NORTON directly from the registry, but it's Aussie an area forbidden, even after saving the Reg. I downloaded autoruns progs - but it is hard to tell what elements must be deselected to Start. NORTON Safe Web Lite needs to stay.

  So, I went back to the NORTON uninstall TOOL. Now, for those of you who connect your pc to a TV, don't forget what I don't have: put an end to the end of the screen where you see. On a pc screen, the availability of the screen is still there, below the horizon [in the old days, we often "lost" a desktop icon that way].  I carried my another pc down to the desktop monitor (it's a grateful flat screen!) and set up, started the NORTON uninstall TOOL and waited. Even if the dialogue pane was too inflexible as ever, the edges of the buttons were simply achievable by pushing the mouse under the horizon.  NORTON all parties. My apologies for what is something so time-consuming, but people are trying to help, and I'm paying something in return.

• Pavilion: with 10 windows wifi problems

  Since the upgrade of windows 8.1 for windows 10 I get incompatible wifi connection.  I am only able to post this message because I am sitting practically on the router.  my partner who has an Asus tablet with windows 8.1 has no problem and can be as much as 10 meters, in different rooms.

  I have a Dell Latitude 10 ST2 with processor Atom Z2760, official update 8.1 public today and is Intel Display driver no longer has recovered the kind of questions of standby with Intel drivers 9.14.3.1160 who came through via Windows update and are dated from the 16/06/2013!

  Hi again, there is some good news, it seems. My tablet today received a new update of the graphics driver through Windows Update. This is the version 1176 (8 November) and it seems that the issue of awakening has disappeared. It remains to be seen if it is stable in all directions. See you soon!

  When I turn on my laptop, the screen stays dark.
  I have hooked up to an external monitor and you can get a signal that allows me to connect. Once logged into windows xp the laptop screen rises suddenly in life.

  Tried using the Fn + F5 on market, but it does not work.
  Do check the BIOS and settings in power windows and can see nothing obvious.
  Put the laptop to dual screen laptop and CRT, but when I reboot, all I get is a signal through the external display (until I log in to windows), then the screen of the laptop begin to operate.
  No changes to the settings or installed any new software for this development.
  Tried to restore Windows to a checkpoint system well before it started, but not joy.

  Any ideas?

  Have you changed the display of the external monitor to a default monitor?

  In this case the display of laptops will not work until the OS is responsible.
  Well, please check in the properties of the graphics card if the internal display of laptops is set as a default view!

  If that doesn't help I would recommend checking if it of possible to start Notepad in safe mode and if the books display can be activated.
  If all the settings of this change, then the installation of the new system would be desirable.

• Window search/TOC not displayed in the output of WebHelp Pro

  I have what I think is quite fundamental question: when I generate my WebHelp Pro project, everything works perfectly until I have move the contents of the output folder to a network drive for viewing. When the default theme opens, rather than display the table of contents/search on the left, I get a link that says "view". Click on this link, and the table of contents opens on the right.

  

  I would like to have the table of contents displayed on this initial point of view, without requiring users to click on the link 'display '.

  Yet once, when I check the output results on my local drive, the table of contents appears. The obvious problem is generated using must reside on a network drive to be viewed by our users...

  PS: The project is on my local drive, only the contents of the output folder is moved to the network drive. In addition, any display of the table of contents seems to work very well.

  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  Larry, Rick has solved your problem of conditional compilation. However, make sure you have all updates installed for 10 of RoboHelp.

  I noticed that you are using IE. The link display occur with Chrome or Firefox as well?

  Meanwhile, I'm still suspect that you do not open the good 'default' start the page file to start the WebHelp and that's why you get this link 'Show '. It's 'witness' that you open the file in default theme instead of the default Start Page. By any chance have somehow named "the topic of your default", index.html?   I know, there was thread on this a while ago. I use RoboHelp x 5 and the skin is WebHelp Pro (XP_Blue_Glass). Our project published, I noticed it says 'New window' in the upper left corner of the title bar in IE 6. I don't remember the name of the file to open and edit it.
  
  Another question, once I find the file, it is in the project folder that needs to be changed or is it in the published folder that needs to be changed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Satellite Pro A300-28R - Windows startup with a wrong display resolution

  OK so I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-28R with Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card.

  Recently, I have connected my laptop to a TV using the S-video connection. It worked well. The problem is that since then, and every time I start my laptop Windows starts with S-video of 600 x 800 display resolution.

  I tried changing the settings in the Panel and using the ATI CCC, having once selected and applied these settings, but whenever Windows starts now it starts with the above display resolution.

  As a result, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled my display driver both package Toshiba value added but the same problem persists. I searched with Google about this problem and have not been able to find something useful.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  How did you produce the video signal?
  Did you choose Office expanded or all simply the option external monitor by using the FN + F5?

  I think that you need to press once more the Fn + F5 and should switch to a view, internal laptop display.

However, after the third or fourth re - publish (at the exit of WebHelp Pro on RH9 server), we noticed that the TOC is more auto - syncs with the topic pane. Users can access topics by clicking on a field name in the table of contents, and the name of the open section is highlighted as foreseen in the table of contents. But if the user switches to another topic using a hypertext link in the topic pane, the move is not reflected in the table of contents; Instead, the previous topic remains highlighted.

  This problem has disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared. We publish WebHelp Pro Robo 9 two-server and the same problem occurred on both servers at the same time. Now, it has resolved itself on both servers. Some regular updates of subjects were made in the interim, but nothing which could explain what was going on.

  The monitor should have a TB and adapter power connector. The monitor works on both OSX. ? If so, shut down of windows, connect monitor and start Windows. Your TB 2012 monitor is not plug-and-play with Windows.

  I have a 24 "I-Inc monitor that I bought in 2008.  It has a nice clear image that never changed.  Best deal I've ever done in the monitors.  This monitor is connected to my computer main clocked i5 of operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate Professional Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) fully updated.  Monitor is driven by video card NVIDIA GeForce 210

  Then, all of a sudden a few weeks ago the screen on the monitor began to go dark and back, dark and backward, dark and back.  The last dark anywhere among the second up to 30 seconds and the flashing would go one to five minutes.  Then stop and everything is fine.  So maybe some time later, I went to a different Web site it would start again.  Now, let me say clearly, there is nothing wrong with this monitor or my PC, which brings me to my next story.

  After fighting this monster of darkness for a few days, I decided to move it to what I call my computer of the workshop.  This computer has i3 cpu with NVIDIA GeForce 210 also in perfect condition.  This computer is also a system dual boot, AND this IS A SAME KEY PART.

  It has Ubuntu 14.04.3 md64 (my PC is 64bt) AND 10 for Windows.  This monitor is also connected with a HDMI cable and when I plugged it in this workshop cpu, I first booted to Ubuntu.  Everything was great for about a minute then the monster of darkness began her dance for about two minutes then stopped and the screen image was perfect.  I flipped around for a while, then the monster of darkness happens again.

  OK, so I decided to stop and start Windows 10.  You may not believe this, but with 10 Windows, IT IS No. MONSTER of DARKNESS... PERIOD!  Still, it is still connected to my cp Studio win 10, and I'm interested in what I type and the image is perfect.

  My conclusions: nothing wrong with the monitor that is always connected to the cp workshop and work perfect.

  All is well with all of my equipment in each system.  I use my monitor backup on my main system and all is well.
