  I lost my internettconnection when I was surfing. So I tried to fix it. The computer did not map.

  So for me it looks like not the card has been broken. but when I take the computer to a walk in another House to get help. then the card is back.

  I guess as some models of the Satellite L500 / L505 series was equipped with the 3G module.

  ATI Mobility 4600 series means that all the cards in this series, e. g. 4650 (which you have), 4670 or 4630, etc..

  On my desktop it s the same. Here, I have Radeon 4870, but the pilot shows only 4800 series. ;)

  Is it possible to turn on wireless on a Satellite L505 without the flashcard utility?
  I have upgraded to Windows 10 and flashcards will install/not not work. Strangely, if I go into the bios and disable without wire, then restart and turn it on, it works. But after a reboot, wireless is gone and I have to go through the bios change to get it working again.

  Features like toggle WIFI are controlled by additional software and your old machine will probably not supported for Win10 so I think that you will not be able to solve this problem.

  I'm having the same problem with a brand new Toshiba Satellite L505 - Windows 7 64-bit with the Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless NIC.

  I've tried EVERYTHING.

Cable LAN gives download speed 1480 Kbps all the time on my DSL connection. But when I use the Realtek wireless NETWORK card, the speed starts up quickly, while it tapers rapidly to < 300 Kbps.

  My daughter has a Satellite A500 (not L500) with another wireless adapter. Sitting side by side anywhere in the House, his laptop, when accessing the same wireless router, always enjoys almost 1500 kbits/s such as measured by www.dslreports.com/speedtests/ - but not with my laptop!

  Probably, you are not able to activate the WLan because the FN + F8 key combination does not work.
  You need to install the VAP (value added package) + Flash Card Utility Support in order to get the FN keys to work.

  PS: FN + F8 will only work if the wireless network adapter has been installed correctly as well.
  So remember that wireless network card has been recognized in the Device Manager and good WLan driver has been installed too.
