WLAN on Satellite L505 card Exchange

*
Because I don't have Bluetooth, I replaced the original with a Realtek card / card Bluetooth

At the first reboot I can install drivers for Bluetooth and Wifi.

I change the HWREG.reg find in Toshiba driver with the right value SUBSYS like this in similar lines of Realtek for ID = 140 to record the new map:

***
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree *.
...
"InternalDevice140 '=' PCI\\VEN_10EC & DEV_8176 & SUBSYS _169F103C"

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessAPL\B TWLANDP *.
...
"DevID_SupportRL140 '=' PCI\\VEN_10EC & DEV_8176 & SUBSY S_169F103C"

* Hotkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\Wireless *.
...
"DevID_SupportRL140 '=' PCI\\VEN_10EC & DEV_8176 & SUBSY S_169F103C"

* EID HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessDevic *.
...
"DevID_SupportRL140 '=' PCI\\VEN_10EC & DEV_8176 & SUBSY S_169F103C"

No problem, I use FN + F8 but my card is not always on

* _Question is: How do I switch ON the WIFI card? _ *

Thanks for the Info

In all the electronic stores you can find small dongle USB BT MINI no more than 8mm and have good work BT in not more than 10 minutes, you decided to solve this problem by using more complicated.

What are you doing to do is modify original hardware configuration. Software offered by Toshiba, especially the preinstalled recovery image is designed to work with original hardware platform.
So in my opinion that you have selected may be bad positioning.
> The question is: how to switch map ON the WIFI?
What about now? If there is no mechanical switch, it can be done by using the FN + F8 key only combination.
If this does not work I really don t know how to force the Toshiba Software to do this.

    Hello Mark

First, you must be sure that your camera comes with the wireless network card. You can check this on two tracks. The first is to check the underside of your laptop. Each camera comes with WLAN card has sticker WLAN. Otherwise you can check the entries in the device under network adapters Manager. If the unit has WLAN card that it will be there.

As far as I know the WLAN for Satellite A30 card is optional and if the device has no card on board you can buy a compatible or use external as WLAN USB stick cards or PCMCIA WLAN cards.

    Hello

I use a PSK3EE satellite L670-143, which comes with a default of Atheros AR9285 wireless network adapter.
I tried to replace it with the 5 GHz Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230, who has a 2-pin connection too.
Unfortunately, the card is correctly recognized by Windows7 but for some reason any, he gets no signal.

Running inSSIDer, there is no unique surrounding device found, while even my own router is advertising in the 5 GHz band, and the taskbar icon, said Intel's Wifi network but it still says that Wifi is disabled.

Trying to enable/disable wireless network connection by using the special key FN + F8 combination, I am unable to turn it on.

Please someone has installed a third-party network adapter in a satellite? Toshiba blocks everything, but default wireless adapters? or how to operate next door only be correctly detected by Windows, but cannot turn the signal?

    Thanks for any help.

    > Why we cannot replace the NIC on Satellite L670?
In General, hardware upgrade on laptops is very limited because of platforms of specific material used for mobile computing.

Associated s user updates are only RAM and HARD drive. If you have any other questions on this I recommend you to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider. They have access to the database of Toshiba and can offer any kind of information about the hardware and the hardware upgrade.

    Hello

First you need to update the WLan driver.
Here is a page with all the drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

After that, go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card and check if the Draft N has been selected.

Restart the device and then try again

  • Satellite L505 - 10K lose wireless card comes and goes

Im having a problem with my new Satellite L505 - 10K.

I lost my internettconnection when I was surfing. So I tried to fix it. The computer did not map.
Then I rebooted (3 times), is still no map. the key 'FN and F8' was disabel (are not when I press FN)
I looked in the device under network adapters Manager: only Realtek PCi Lan was which are listed there.
So for me it looks like not the card has been broken. but when I take the computer to a walk in another House to get help. then the card is back.

Is this a problem anyone knows?
To me, it looks like a connection inside the computer problem?

    Hello

To be honest, I also don t know the reason for this, but first, I would try to update the WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

Also, make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

In the worst case there s a hardware problem and you need help, but authorized service I guess that your laptop is under warranty, the repair should be free.

No, the Satellite L505-h-13 doesn't support 3G module.

I guess as some models of the Satellite L500 / L505 series was equipped with the 3G module.
The fact is that the same bottom cover has been used in the entire series L500 and is why there is a slot for SIM under the battery.

  • Satellite L505-111 graphics card question.

    Hello world

It is somewhat a noobish question but I'm kinda new to laptops. I bought this laptop Satellite L505-111, and in the specs it says I have ATI mobility Radeon 4650 in the form of graphics card. In any case, it was the main reason I bought the laptop. But when I look at windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit version) care. or through PC Wizard, it tells me I have ATI Mobility radeon 4600 series. Can you tell me if it is ok or why it shows me 4600 series and not of 4650.

    Hey Buddy,

Don t you worry about this, everything is ok with your laptop.

ATI Mobility 4600 series means that all the cards in this series, e. g. 4650 (which you have), 4670 or 4630, etc..

On my desktop it s the same. Here, I have Radeon 4870, but the pilot shows only 4800 series. ;)

  • Satellite L505 and Win10 - Wirelss without Flash Cards

Is it possible to turn on wireless on a Satellite L505 without the flashcard utility?
I have upgraded to Windows 10 and flashcards will install/not not work. Strangely, if I go into the bios and disable without wire, then restart and turn it on, it works. But after a reboot, wireless is gone and I have to go through the bios change to get it working again.

What I would give to have the hardware switch to it.

Stupid question maybe now but don't you have this problem if you use the sleep or hibernation mode?
I mean if this work turn off your laptop, but you can often use in hibernation mode.

Features like toggle WIFI are controlled by additional software and your old machine will probably not supported for Win10 so I think that you will not be able to solve this problem.

  • Satellite L505 - wireless connection is slow

    Curlie028,
I'm having the same problem with a brand new Toshiba Satellite L505 - Windows 7 64-bit with the Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless NIC.

    I've tried EVERYTHING.

[http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests/] starts at approximately 1480 Kbps speed of download and then quickly falls less than 300 Kbps. Cable LAN gives download speed 1480 Kbps all the time on my DSL connection. But when I use the Realtek wireless NETWORK card, the speed starts up quickly, while it tapers rapidly to < 300 Kbps.

My daughter has a Satellite A500 (not L500) with another wireless adapter. Sitting side by side anywhere in the House, his laptop, when accessing the same wireless router, always enjoys almost 1500 kbits/s such as measured by www.dslreports.com/speedtests/ - but not with my laptop!

I've done everything that I can to investigate this on my own - as you - driver updated, update the BIOS, turning off all the stuff of Norton Internet Security Suite, different browsers, you name it.

I even tried the settings "netsh int tcp set global", running the speedtest repeatededly that I made changes following the steps on this site: [http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2574]

The only thing left to do is call the Toshiba Support and start their districts relentlessly until something gives... I don't want to return the laptop. I want them TROUBLE THE PROBLEM!

    Mike

    Hey Buddy,

You wrote that you tried as the driver update, etc.
But it would be interesting to know which driver you have installed. Please install the latest official page of Toshiba with Realtek WLAN driver directly. All the drivers from the Toshiba page are pre-tested for your laptop.
    Check this box!

In addition, it would be interesting to know if you are running your own Windows installation or factory settings.

The Norton Internet Security software isn t so fast. I recommend to uninstall and choosing another AntiVirus such as AntiVir. The firewall, you can use the windows one.

  • Satellite L505 - 10J W - Lan Adapter missing

    Hello

the W-Lan-adapter to my laptop (Satellite L505-10J PSLS3E) suddenly disappeared yesterday during normal use; shortly before the Wi - Fi connection still worked. The adapter is no more displayed in the Device Manager of the first operating system (Windows 7 Professional 64 bit); the second one (Ubuntu 10.4) does not either - it's as if the laptop has simply not provided with an adapter.
I have no idea what to do - is the broken WiFi adapter or someone knows how to solve the problem?

    Greetings,
    Alfred Schuhmacher

    Hello

The laptop really support a wireless network card!
It must be equipped with a Wlan RTL8191SE Realtek 802.11bgn chip.

You see some unknown devices in device-> network cards Manager?
If Yes, then this might be a wireless network card!

In this case, you must download the WLan driver again and should install it.
Please download the Wlan driver from this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If it does not, access to the BIOS, set it to default settings, restart the machine and try again Wlan driver!

  • Satellite L505-13F - impossible to activate the wireless connection

Hello, I have connectivity problems with my Satellite L505-13F.

I can't turn on the wireless connection. I press Fn + F8 and nothing happens. The indicator at the bottom of the laptom turns on.

I though this would be a problem with the drivers. I downloaded realtek wlan driver here [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads], but it has not installed correctly. Then I used the toshiba software installer, but yet again, nothing has changed. I have Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

Device management, I have seen that I installed a wifi driver. (Realtek RTL8191SE Wirelless Lan...) So, what the problem is?

    Any suggestions?

    Hey,.

Something happens if you press other keys FN or FN + F8 doesn't work only? Normally with this key combination you can enable/disable wireless network card.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what happens if you are looking for WLAN networks. You see your WLAN router?

If all the keys FN n t work, reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards. Otherwise, it could be another problem and you should reinstall the driver again and make sure the firewall isn't blocking the connection.

    See you soon

  • Satellite L505-112: keys Fn & Wireless fail

I have a toshiba satellite l505-112 psls3e and I have problems with flash card driver and also with the "fn + f8" activate the wireless.
    I have a windows 7 (64-bit) operating system.

No problems in device (Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller) management. Already downloaded the driver from [here | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU] and still no change.

    What should do?

p.s. not very good in the software, but I can handle a few instructions

    respect, Alex

    Hello

Probably, you are not able to activate the WLan because the FN + F8 key combination does not work.
You need to install the VAP (value added package) + Flash Card Utility Support in order to get the FN keys to work.

PS: FN + F8 will only work if the wireless network adapter has been installed correctly as well.
So remember that wireless network card has been recognized in the Device Manager and good WLan driver has been installed too.
