Satellite L505-12 q - unable to connect to the Wlan on Draft N Router

Hello.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L505-12 q who that I connect to router Edimax br 6524n.

My problem is that when I connect to the router the laptop does not use n 802.11 g... The network card is Realtek RTL 8191se... He supports the project and it is configured to receive B G and N. When I set up the router to use only the band N the portable project sees the network, but when I try to conect it can not...

Can someone tell me where is the problem?
I updated the firmware on the router and adapter driver and still nothing good... :|

Thank you.

Hello

First you need to update the WLan driver.
Here is a page with all the drivers:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

After that, go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card and check if the Draft N has been selected.

Restart the device and then try again

    Hi OliverwithZTE,

I understand that you have connection problems to your network WPA2-PSK.

Unfortunately, WPA2-PSK is currently not supported on Firefox OS version 1.3. Only WPA-TKIP and WPA2-AES are supported.

  • Unable to connect to the WLan satellite E300

    Hello

I also bought a new Toshiba e300 Satellite yesterday. I have the same problems and have updated to the latest firmware. What is complicated is, I have 3 other laptops (mac, more old toshiba & acer) and 3 iphones, they are all able to connect to my wireless network and it's only the new toshiba which cannot.

Other devices could see other local wireless in my neighborhood networks, while the new toshiba could see that my own wireless with only one bar of signal strength.

Looks like the Atheros device is the only issue. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

    >.. .updated to the latest firmware
    Firmware? Which firmware?

Maybe from other computers laptops don't use WLAN n standard and your new laptop computer for this. Who knows what standards to use all these wireless LANs. Try to check the WLAN settings on your router and your new Toshiba.

  • Satellite L505-144: unable to connect to the Wlan 802.11 N

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this

I've updated my old network wireless at home so I can stream media.
I replaced my old netgear G router and bought a netgear DGND3300 dual band N router to the hub and a WNDA3100.

Office everything is set up ok on these as I can connect up to 300 kbps, which is good.
The current settings for the router are:
    Up to 130Mbps at 5 GHz & 54Mbps 2.4 GHz"
    channel 36 = N
    Channel 11 = G

Although the problem is the laptop.
Now, he says that the wireless laptop is N. When I connect to the router it connects only when G setting and I only have until 45 Kbps.

Is there a way so that it can connect to BOTH channels to get the full speed or the wireless laptop is only a single tape device?

    Thank you
    Steve

    Hello

Built into the laptop LAN card is a Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11bgn.
As you can see the wireless network card supports three WLan standards; 802 11 B, G and N.

    First of all, you must make sure that more recent Wlan driver is installed;
New WLan driver can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, you should check if 802.11 N standard has been chosen.
You should do this in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab.

  • Satellite A500 - 03P: unable to connect to the WLan using Win 7 + event message

    Hi all

I recently bought the Satellite A500 with the offer included Windows7 while he was available late October 09.

So I had the Toshibe DVD for the upgrade and followed the steps and Visa home premium upgrade to Windows 7. Now I have two questions.

    (1) I get a system event Notification after start, talk to me about the system event log. The full message is below.

Unable to connect to a windows service
Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification service. This problem prevents limited users to logon to the system. As an administrator, you can view the system event log to see why the service failed

    (2) I was able to use this laptop for the internet before the upgrade, both via a USB wireless drive as well to the office via a DSL modem.
Now I can't access the internet after the upgarde of Windows 7!

For example the Optus dial-up box pop up appears commandeLorsque I click on 'connect', it does not connect.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you
    C I

    Hey Buddy,

    (1) did you check the Configuration of the Service for this service? The Boot System Event Notification Service type must always be set to automatic. This service is absolutely necessary for Windows and shouldn't t be disabled or set to manual startup type.
    Check it!

    (2) to be honest I never heard on the internet BEFORE, but normally, it should also be possible to access the Internet with Windows 7.
Make sure that the WLAN or LAN card is installed properly and check the TCP/IP settings. If you are missing some driver you can get on the page of Toshiba.

  • Satellite A500 - 15 M: unable to connect to the TV with HDMI

    Hello

I have a Satellite A500 - 15M. I recently tried to connect to my TV so I could watch certain shows online on my Hannspree Xv HD ready TV.
The HDMI out does any record on the TV - the TV displays a message "not supported" and remains off (as if there is no signal) - display settings on the PC it does not recognize the TV... actually it [Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel] indicates that the TV/monitor settings are not supported.

But I can connect via the VGA output - although I have to delete the display settings to 1024 x 768 to show on TV. In addition the display on the TV then is mainly pink and red, even if my pc display peak is most often blue. -start of the Toshiba screen displays on the TV, without any problems and one or twice the login screen was displayed too much, but then sometimes it isn't...
I know that's not the VGA cable as I can connect to the TV with it on netbook advent my wife without any problem.
Are there drivers, I need to update / download? Or I need to change the settings?
How can I get my screen on my TV?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

First, you must connect the two machines (laptop and TV via HDMI) when the two devices are turned off. After turn on the TV and the laptop.

You must choose the HDMI on TV channel and should then use the FN + F5 key combination to switch the video output to the TV.

If this does not help, try updating the graphics card driver.
It seems that your laptop supports the Intel graphics chip. Therefore, you can see the Intel page for new drivers.

  • Unable to connect to the WLAN router satellite P300

    Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me with my problem.

I bought a Satellite P300. Now, I'll have some connection problems to my fritzboxfonwlan over a wlan network.

When I connect my laptop via a cable, all right. Only with wlan i´m problems.
My router ssid is displayed correctly. I can also type the key. But then the router is not to be found.

    I use as wpa2 encryption.
I think that Vista has problems with it. Vista has also the most recent updates and my wireless (intel agn5100) card.
I tried all the three drivers on the side of toshiba. I Don t know what I can do next.

If you have any ideas, I'll be happy to hear it.

    Hello

Have you checked if the address Mac filtering settings can affect the WLan functionality?
If the MAC address filtering enabled your WLan card mac address has been inserted, then your laptop wouldn't connect.

Also I recommend you check the settings of the WLan card TCP/IP.
In the TCP/IP properties, you must set options for automatically

PS: have you checked whether your P300 is the latest BIOS?

  • Satellite A500 - unable to connect to the WLan

I'd like someone to help me.

Have recently bought a satellite A500.
I'm new in the world of laptops so I'm wrong.
I connected to a router via a modem, the two netgear, the news.

Had the two config for my network. Works well as long as ethernet is connected to the router of computer.

My wireless icon on the front of the laptop is orange.
If this should be green as the router?

Pressing FN f8 it tell me wireless is connected.
When I remove the ethernet cable it tell me to fix the problem, I need to plug in the ethernet cable.
But I want to go wireless, I'm sure I'm missing something.

Rang netgear but after that my router and it is not connected to wireless technology they could help me more.
    I use windows7.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

    > My wireless icon on the front of the laptop is orange.
    > Should it be green as the router?

The WLan led can only be ON or OFF. If the light comes on (any color) then it means that the Wlan switch is on!

It seems that the WiFi is enabled. In this case, you will need to properly configure the WiFi network.
You can use the own WLan settings in Windows or a Wlan configuration tool like Intel ProSet utility.

First need choose the right SSID (wireless network name), right of encryption (WEP, WPA, etc.) and password encryption.
Please note that all of these parameters should be the same on the router WLan and WLan configuration software!

Please check if the firewall does not affect the connection to the internet as well!

PS: make sure you use the latest version of the WLan driver
Here you can find the drivers:

  • Satellite L40: Windows Vista unable to connect to the network

My Satellite L40 laptop was connecting to my network wireless perfectly since Christmas. But two days ago, it stopped! I can see the networks available on the laptop but when I try to connect I get the message "Windows cannot connect to the network. Following the link to "Diagnose the problem" has no useful effect.
I installed Windows Vista Service Pack 1 yesterday to try to solve the problem, but always without success.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Select this option.

    Hello

Please go to the drivers Toshiba download page and download the latest Wlan driver for your wireless card installed, then remove the old driver and install a new one. It should work.

Otherwise, you should try to recover your entire system and replace the drivers installed by some more recent...

  • Unable to connect to the internet via a modem router - Satellite A200

Thanks to Xardas, I was able to successfully install Windows XP Pro, but not everything is working as it should. Of immediate concern is my inability to connect to the internet (DSL) through the installation of the existing modem router that I use. How can I check that the ethernet drivers work? … My Satellite A200 does not - connect the appropriate port light does not illuminate.

Oh yeh. I noticed that whenever I start (boot) a "Wizard" pane appears informing me that new hardware was found and that the drivers have not been installed but it doesn't tell me what the new material is! At the same time, there is a separate pane that announces that the drivers have not been installed correctly.

Of course, I can use the computer as it is, but before letting my wife loose on this subject, I would like to get rid of anything that can give her cause to panic.

    Where are you Xardas?

Check please the Device Manager and all the entries listed under network adapters. LAN card is listed there?

    Have you installed driver LAN?
    What A200 you exactly (A200-xxx)?

  • Satellite M30-604: unable to connect to the WLan

    Hi all

I have some problems with my toshiba SM30-604

First of all, I find the product in the section support somehow, even I can't find it by giving the serial number! ???
    Even with the program auto-detection!

The other big problem is with the wireless card.
Since the first time I bought the laptop when I tried to connect with some internet wirless networks I had problems with certain types of escryption of these networks.

If the network is an escryption
    WPA,
    WPA 2,.
    WPA - PSK
    WPA2-PSK
I can not connect to this network and he brings a message, something like "the network may not be available at this time" Although it is.

Even if has a WEP encryption and password isn't a 10-digit is brings a message like "the neck should be 40 bits or 104 bits and 5 or 13 ASCII characters and 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.

The last days I can not connect to any wireless network for the above reasons.
I know that its an old pc, but it is very good even for today an I still use it even I have other laptops

    Please can someone help me?
Will there be some updates for my card toshiba wireless?
I downloaded the automatic detection tool, but it does not recognize my pc model

Under my pc has this data:

    SM30-604
    model No. PSM30E-0SY2K-GK

the wireless card must be the:
    Intel (r) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter

    > First of all, I find the product in the section support somehow, even I can't find it by giving the serial number! ???

The portable M30-604 PSM30E-0SY2K-GK is an old classic. Right?
Well, Toshiba driver European page you will find three categories: Archive, book and Options.
If you don't find this portable model of laptop in the computer category then I would say that the next step should be archiving. Right? To me, it seems plausible to check the area archives due to the age of the laptop.

In addition, the books are sorted by serial number; means that you won't find satellite M30 604 but Satellite M30 PSM30E.

To my knowledge the Intel (r) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 supports only 802.11 B Wlan standard and only the key WEP, WPA, encryption (AES +).
    FTP://download.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/SB/intelprowireless2100mpci_prodbrief.PDF

This means that if the WiFi network is not set to 802.11 B and if the WiFi network has been set to WPA2 encryption, so you won't be able to connect to this network.

  • Satellite Pro M70: Unable to connect to the WLan with ConfigFree

    Salvation in the Forum.

I have problems with a satellite Pro M70, about gaining control of wireless connections.

When I scan with "The Radar" I have ConfigFree for available wireless accesspoints, I get several points available, but it is not able to connect to one of them. I can read their status and see their marker of WEP encryption.

When I try to connect to one of them, I get a pop-up dialog, that said (translated from Danish) 'suppliers another software is in control of the wireless network card. When you try to configure a connection through the classic way to windows, windows States that "windows is not able to configure this wireless connection - if you have another program to manage wireless connections, you must use it". I guess it refers to ConfigFree...?

Is the unnamed "other provider" associated Windows or perhaps associated McAfee (Security Suite 2007)?

If you are familiar with this problem or something like that I'd be please to know.

Also - where can I enter keys for WEP encryption for my friends in ConfigFree WLAN routers?

    > Trying to make a connection through the classic way to windows, windows States that "windows is not able to configure this wireless connection - if you have another program to manage wireless connections, you must use it". I guess it refers to ConfigFree...?

It should not be a ConfigFree. According to you, an Intel ProSet utility or a Client Atheros wireless network adapter might be controls the Wlan configuration!

Please check if one of the two control the WiFi network tools and turn off!

    > where can I enter keys for WEP encryption for my friends in ConfigFree WLAN routers

You should have three different tabs in the utility Configfree.
The second device settings provides the list of devices, and you should see the wireless network connection.
Choose and use the button network connections.
There you should find some encryption settings!

Also check the profile settings tab and the option called security settings

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - unable to connect to the WLAN router

    Hello

    I brought a 2nd hand Satellite Pro, model version SP6100 (PS610E-029ZV-EN), P4 1.7 Ghz, 512 MB, 30 GB, with Windows 2000 Pro loaded.

I can't connect to my wireless router. The switch is in the correct position.

I want to change to XP using the key provided with the new laptop (dual OS) however I can't reformat using a XP disc at the start up or if I use the recovery cd (start with holding C and let go when he works up) it starts but displays 'specification drive not valid' three times and charges Win2000.

Can someone advise how (or if!) Can I reformat I want?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    See you soon.

Are you sure that the wireless network adapter has been installed in the laptop?
    Check in Device Manager

On some series WLan is optional. This means that the WLan card is not installed, but it is possible to install an and, consequently, the laptop contains the WLan switch.

  • Satellite P300-19 q PSPCDE Win XP - unable to connect to the WLan

    Hello

I just bought a P300 19 q PSPCDE laptop that I am running with win XP.
I have problems with the wifi connection.
Seems to be a common problem. I updated the driver for the Intel 5100 last, assured the wifi on the front switch is active, pressed Fn + F8 to make sure that the wireless card is enabled but I can't always see all the networks, even if my old computer display about 8 to reach wifi networks.

The only solution I can find on the forums is to use an older version of BIOS. The BIOS of my laptop is indicated as v1.8 (13 August 08). However, when I check this site the latest version of the BIOS available for download is version 1.6, which is probably older.

So the question is - has anyone successfully solves the problem of connectivity using the BIOS 1.6 instead of 1.8 and if so how install you it because my computer refuses to use a BIOS older than the one already installed.

I'd be very grateful for any help before I tear in addition to my hair out trying to get the new laptop to work!

    Liz

Hello. I had the same problem.

You have already done this, but

By fluke: under the control panel > Device Manager > network adapters, I saw one was "unknown device". Out of desperation and more hopeful than any other thing I've updated the driver on that, whatever it is and it turns out be a Realtek Wireless Adapter, after I had updated it.

Amazingly, everything worked OK after that,

But I don't see why he would never ship like that? And roll back a BIOS previous everything seems unfair...

  • Satellite C665D is unable to connect to the WLan

    Hello

My in-laws are staying with me and their C665D does not connect to our wifi network.
I can't turn on the wifi settings.

I looked in to network adapters Device Manager and there is no present. I tried to add a new device through "manage wireless networks" and he says "Wireless is not currently enabled.

If I try to manually add a wireless network it comes up with 'windows wireless service does not work.

Look forward to some help on this one

The error "the windows wireless service does not work" indicates that the Wlan service has not been started.
Why? I don't know, but you can try to activate this service first.

To manually start the wireless service, i.e. the WLAN AutoConfig service, perform the following steps:

    1. connect to the computer as an administrator.
    2. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    3. Locate the autoconfiguration WLAN service, double-click to open its properties window.
    4. on the general tab, change the startup type to automatic and click on the Start button.
    5. click on apply, then ok.

Then try to connect to the wireless connection and check the result.
