WMP streaming media is off again to display other unknown computers

Hello im using Windows 7 (64-bit).

My wmp streaming media has been disabled by me, since I want except or stream or play my media files with other users.

Also in my computer > network > Network Center and shares settings > advance change sharing settings >
discovery of network and file sharing are turned off.

But today, when I opened my wmp (internet disconnected at this time), I saw the name of an unknown person/user/computer, under the option "other libraries" WMP. After a few minutes, it disappeared from the list. But after a few minutes, a few other names appeared.

By unknown user/person/computer, I mean people who do not live in our House, but are on the same network (where I am)

Im a little worried here. Can PCs/unknown users connect to my system or they can access my support if they appear in my wmp, even though my file sharing or streaming media is off? Help, please.

Here is the screenshot

  • iPad does not turn on/just the Apple logo and then turn off again

I have an iPad, 4th generation, 64 GB with WiFi and cell phone, it is only 3 years and suddenly I can't turn on the iPad. When he started to act up it would freeze upwards with no icons or the button "home" in response, still on the screen, that he was freezing. I was able to restart it with the top button and it would work for 10-15 minutes and freeze no icons or the button being sensitive at home. I could do a hard reboot and when I rebooted, it would work again for 5-15 minutes and freeze once more. This was during a week and now it does not restart. When I try to turn on with the button at the top of the Apple logo appears, remains on the screen for about 3-5 minutes (no progress bar) and turns off again with no other screen appearing. I tried to find a solution online without success. Anyone have any suggestions for a fix for the iPad? I would appreciate any ideas that anyone could have.

If the unit starts to turn back on the wide, then it seems that if you have a hardware problem. If the unit is charged and a reset will produce only a short period of service, then it is a hardware error or an error in battery, which would be also considered to be material. You can try to restore the device to factory and test without adding any additional content. If it still fails, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar watching him.

Please check if you can turn it on in a clean boot environment:

Note: If you are prompted, please click on continue in the window User Account Control (UAC).

    2) click on the 'Services' tab, check "Hide all Microsoft Services" and click on 'Disable All' (if it's not gray).

    3) click on the 'Startup' tab, click 'Disable All' and click on 'OK '.

Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration utility" window appears, please check the "don't show this message or launch the System Configuration utility when Windows starts" box, then click OK.

NOTE: we can return to a normal startup by running msconfig again and checking on Normal startup on the general tab.

In the clean boot environment, applications and third-party services are disabled, please check if you can turn on media streaming at this time.

If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to an application or a service, we have disabled. You can use the MSCONFIG tool again to reactivate the disabled one by one element to find the culprit.

  • "Show devices on" emptiness of streaming media

I don't have much experience with the implementation of streaming media, but I am familiar with the configuration of the network.  I have a home network with a desktop PC, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.  In Windows Media Player 12, when I select STREAM-TURN ON MEDIA STREAMING with or without active homegroup, I don't get any list of networks in the menu drop down under "show devices on.  This list would normally have something like a LAN in it, but it is empty.

I use a router Linksys Wireless and cable internet.  The computer is connected via an RJ-45 ethernet cable to the router.  I also have a laptop, a smartphone wireless, a Xbox 360 console and blu - ray compatible Sony DLNA player.  All are able to connect to the network without problem.

What happens here?  I'm completely lost at this stage? Y at - it corruption in my window or is there a particular service under administrator tools-services, which is / are disabled?

    Hello

    Method 1:
Check out the link and follow the steps.
    Method 2:
If the method above does not solve the problem, and then try to turn the function of Windows Media Player, restart the computer and turn ON the feature and check out them. Follow these steps:
    1. Click the Start button.
    2. In the below search box, type "Turn Windows features on or off.
    3. As part of multimedia features, uncheck Windows Media Player, and then click Ok
    4. Restart the computer.
    5. Repeat step 1
    6. Check the box for Windows Media Player.
    7. Restart the computer and check if the problem persists.
  • Can not disable Streaming Media for guest account

I've disabled the guest account on my machine to windows 7 Home premium (64-bit).  However, the guest account always appear as my Playstation 3 streaming media.  If I turn on (enable) the guest account and log in there on the computer, I can see that streaming media is indeed enabled in Advanced Network Configuration but it is not clear up to turn it off (I think because the guest account has limited administrative rights).

I thought that disable the guest account using the configuration management screen turns off default accounts, but that is not the case for media sharing.

Does anyone know a way to disable it manually?

    Thank you!

  • Outlook Express 6.0 when I send an email, it seems that it does not completely turn off but it does and everytime I open OE, it turns off again and again and again, etc. Any ideas? Thank you

I send an email, it does not completely turn off. A message that says that the task had not been completed, but no error message appears. The email goes off, and whenever I open OE it turns off again and again and again, etc. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

You have the apparent corruption of dbx files, but an easy solution.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
