Streaming media lights

I'm trying to set up the streaming media so I can watch videos on my Xbox but I'm having problems. When I click the turn on media streaming button in WMP, nothing happens it looks like he's trying to do something for about half a second and that's all, it's just sitting there and the OK button is dimmed again. Any ideas? I looked and a bunch of other forums and some people are having the same problem, but nobody has an answer.

Hi yagsirepusrj,

Please use the Microsoft Windows Forum.

Please check if you can turn it on in a clean boot environment:

Clean boot

=================

1) click on the type of button start "msconfig" (without the quotes) in the search box and press ENTER.

Note: If you are prompted, please click on continue in the window User Account Control (UAC).

2) click on the 'Services' tab, check "Hide all Microsoft Services" and click on 'Disable All' (if it's not gray).

3) click on the 'Startup' tab, click 'Disable All' and click on 'OK '.

Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration utility" window appears, please check the "don't show this message or launch the System Configuration utility when Windows starts" box, then click OK.

NOTE: we can return to a normal startup by running msconfig again and checking on Normal startup on the general tab.

In the clean boot environment, applications and third-party services are disabled, please check if you can turn on media streaming at this time.

If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to an application or a service, we have disabled. You can use the MSCONFIG tool again to reactivate the disabled one by one element to find the culprit.

Whenever I run it, it throws an exception: "Bad Tunnel. If I add '; interface = wifi"at the end of the url, it is said that it is a bad URL.

Is there anyway to force the player to broadcast using the wi - fi connection?

For some reason when I use the example of buffering in playback when the player is told to stop, it stops playback but it continues to download the rest of the file when I call destroy() and even when I force stop & close each involved single stream. This is a problem since the other players on the same screen does not start streaming up to what the first stream is completely downloaded.

With the help of; = wifi interface should work in a URL used in the createPlayer method.  What model of Smartphone BlackBerry and the BlackBerry terminal software version you test on?  You can find this under Options, all on the BlackBerry Smartphone.  What is the BlackBerry handheld is connected to a Wi - Fi network at the time?  Note that the BlackBerry Simulator support no simulation of a Wi - Fi connection.

What should I do to configure my windows firewall to allow network discovery and file sharing of printers and media streaming and sharing?

    Hi stephanie,.

Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

Looks like the Windows firewall prevents the discovery network, files and printers, sharing, public sharing of files and streaming media. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

You have a third-party antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Method 1:

    To turn on network discovery

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.
    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.
    3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide
    confirmation.

The article below explains all about the network discovery:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/enable-or-disable-network-discovery

If any of these responses not solve the issue, let us then run the sfc scan and check if any file system is corrupt. I also recommend to perform a clean boot in order to find the root cause of the problem.

    Method 2:

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

More information on SFC scan found in this document:

Hello im using Windows 7 (64-bit).

When I try to install Media Streaming on Win 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, using Control Panel/Network Sharing Center/Media Streaming Options, I find the following strange problem.  The "show devices on:" drop-down list has no content and does not allow me to select anything.  On my Win 7 wife's computer, this dropdown allows of me selcet is "all networks" or "local networks".  I discovered this error when I bought an XBox 360 and setup of Windows media Center on it.  Windows Media center on the XBox can connect to my PC and play all the music in my library of music through Media Center, but the XBox can't find my pc on the network using the music library or picture library.  My PC does not list the XBox when I "see the network computers or devices", but nor does my wife's PC.

Share you must have under 'Network and Internet' a 'homegroup' set in place with share pictures etc. with controlled devices. You must also have under 'Network and Media Center' 'share with media devices' network Local set to "allow all". You can easily access these via WMP12, if you look under the drop down menu "share", it's the two base units, just select those to go to the relative Panel.

All the media you want to share must be stored in the folder 'Libraries' relative to the topic. For some reason, videos are available to select the "folders" on the PS3, if you select 'All videos' only the recorded TV shows samples sample wtv file, which

  • Sound distortion with sounds and Windows streaming media

First of all, I'm not very technical minded, so please excuse my attempts to describe it!

A few weeks ago, the sound on my laptop became distorted - metal kind of high, very "rough" and nasty high-pitched squeal kind of like your comments. Happens on all Windows sounds, on the media (like YouTube) streaming, but WMP works fine so I know it isn't a problem of speaker, need software.

Just before this happened, I tried to download and install Skype, but couldn't get my microphone to work. I then uninstalled Skype. I also installed Spyware Doctor from PCTools, but there were some conflicts when he tried to run scheduled scans, three times, I started my computer to find the message "your system has recovered from a serious error" (I also have Norton Antivirus and Windows Defender running). So I uninstalled Spyware Doctor.

I tried to find info online on this and have since downloaded and run CCleaner. I also downloaded and re-installed the Realtek driver for my sound card, but I still have this problem. All tips are welcome!

Very beautiful ;) Thanks for this useful info.
