wobble on Pavilion 23bw

I got a 23bw of Pavilion since Christmas, and in the last two weeks, he began to falter.  Not all the time, but much of the time, especially at the beginning to the end of the session & in a user session.  I can't see any link between the user and startup or shutdown problems.  Flicker appears sometimes in the Windows startup pages (those with the Windows logos)

I tried all the troubleshooting on this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph05236

I tried to hook up with a serial cable, but also a HDMI, I tried to download the new drivers, I tried to make the screen resolution changes, changes in the settings of the monitor.  No luck.

Yesterday, I bought a new HDMI cable, thinking maybe that was the problem, but it is still flickering.

This morning, I realized it sparkles even when there is no input of the PC - the small place of installation or you sleep notice wobbles.

Today, I installed the app HP My Display, thinking that would help me to access some additional settings.  On the "My system" page of the app, it shows the recommendation "Timing" 1920 x 1080 @60 hz.  Just below this, the "current time" shows as 0 x 0 @0 hz.  What is the problem?  How to reset the current schedule?

Also, when I try to change the resolution of the screen through the Windows, I can choose the highest resolution is 1366 x 768.  Is part of the problem?

After working with support chat today, we determined that my problem was the material of the monitor and has launched a request for replacement monitor, because this monitor is still under warranty.  Just thought I should post here in case someone else is having similar problems.

    Good afternoon;

My problem: I used my HP Pavilion 23bw Fortunately, display for the past 18 months or so. The original software includes an application that allows to adjust the display to personal taste or to preset stations. Very well.

Recently, I decided that I had to be more risky in my choice and mode of life. I gave up condoms, refusing to wear a seat belt and installed 10 windows...

It went pretty well... which is, I only had to reinstall all my firewall exceptions McAfee that I needed for the games and browsing the interweb and install the latest drivers for multiple devices. I'm still waiting for Samsung release their driver Windows 10 for their SSD.

Oh, and the HP software for the display disappeared. > Poof When I got to the HP support for the latest drivers and software, I received this message: no software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product home page.

To be clear, the continuous 23bw to work fine, except that I can adjust is no longer the display through HP software, and while said Device Manager works correctly, it does not show install asked right after the installation of Windows 10.

    Along with; Camera DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527e7e & 0 & UID4353 requires new installation.
and: driver management concluded the process to install the driver hp_23bw_win8.inf_amd64_f35a2af5beb87993\hp_23bw_win8.inf for the Instance ID of device DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527E7E & 0 & UID4353 with the following status: 0 x 0

and even if the correct driver is installed, I lost the software.

    My system:

    SSD Pro 840 Samsung

Card mother Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H (Rev. 3.1)

AMD Phenom II X 4 955 BE processor 3.20 GHz

    So my questions are, of course;

    1. Is there a work around?
    2. Your technicians are furiously working on the software and the updated drivers?
    3. If they are, is there an expected release date?

I hope hear from HP with a solution or a resolution to come and enjoy any time you spend on my problem.

    Hello-

While the HPSA is a nice utility, I am happy to have now, he could not find updates, that the pilots had already been refilled.

What was missing was the "My Display" software. I went to HP Support, software and downloads the driver, which detected my Windows 10 and said "nothing for you here '.

I then clicked on "edit" for the operating system and selected Windows 7 in the Menu dΘroulant.

The Web site bought and gave me a drivers and several utilities.

In utilities, I found 'My view' software, downloaded, installed, him and all is right with the world.

Looks like that could be fixed with a little tweaking.

    Thanks again,

  • Pavilion 23bw does not turn on

I bought brand new tonight (04/08/14) the HP Pavilion 23bw. My OS is Windows 7. I plugged everything. Everything worked perfectly. I put the disc in and everything was fine. I did the reboot. Screen is out and will not light back. I disassembled everything back and started from scratch several times, but that the light in the back says that it is powered the screen not coming back. I read online that the lock on the monitor have been activated and to turn off, press and hold the power button on the monitor for 10 seconds. There is nothing. I got the screen for 2 hours and it won't work. Can someone help me before I have to box it and return it to 40 miles away?

I feel like such a dummy.  When I was reading the instructions it says to press the button on the front of the computer.  He came the first time I plugged it, he must have had a stroke of luck, and when I moved the mouse.  It wasn't until I put the monitor on a very GREAT book to take a better look at that I realized that the buttons are UNDER NEATH the monitor.  I'm so sorry to have bothered you.  Everything works beautifully.  Thank you!!!  Shanna

  • Pavilion 23bw resolution

Hi, I just bought this 23bw Pavilion. I plugged everything, it is very good. First thing I tried was my connect with my PS3. It worked PERFECTLY. When I stopped playing. I went back to it (DVI). Now it doesn't work. He tells me that Resulution requirements must be 1920 x 1080 at 60 HZ (Defult in VGA) now it says only: 1280 x 720-60 HZ current settings. I can not change the settings on DVI because it is black screen. He says not active when I switch back and fourth. I was just wondering if you can change these settings under settings - v next to the power button.

    Note:

Nevermind it worked after I left it on during a certain time?

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion 23bw 23 inch diagonal IPS LED backlight screen. Here is the page of diagonal pilots to monitor IPS LED backlit HP Pavilion 23bw 23 inch for your monitor. There is no drivers Mac or OSX on this page. In theory, you just connect the Mac Mini to the HP 23bw using a suitable cable or adapter, and it should work. Please see Apple Support Forum - can I use a monitor HP with a Mac mini? for confirmation of this.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t CTO: compatibility problems, ask questions about knitting-by-turn or possible motherboard replacement.

I recently baught an EVGA GTX 1060, as this 630 became quite long in the tooth and I thought that I would try to future proof myself a little as the rest of my components seem to be working very well.  However, I can't get the map to work correctly on this particular computer.  Oddly enough, I can get past that screen startup finally after several short beeps and let it sit, but it takes fowever to reach the office and clearly is not executed properly that the resolution is wobbly and software from Nvidia cannot even detect the card.  I guess I had got this far because of the onboard graphics of some sort, but AFAIK this motherboard which lacks.

I know that the card works fine as I tested it in my other Tower, so I struggled to find a solution.  So far, it seems that the problem is most likely the motherboard, as HP does not have a new BIOS for it since the beginning of 2013 (which I did go ahead and install it).  If true, I find myself with either two options, it seems that the ditch system, entirely or find a motherboard that works with all my old components.  I'd rather not have to empty this workaholic, when all other parts work great, if it is not a work around I would like to know if there are motherboards I could pass that would work with the rest of my components.  Normally I would not bother with even apply for, but I hear a lot of chatter on HP PCs pre-constructed having compatibility problems.

I bought this computer there is in the case of four years that I would be able to update as I do with any other PC, but I didn't know at the time that HP has a tendency to not update the BIOS settings for anything beyond a year which I admit is incredibly frustrating.  What is done is done however, and I want to make this work without having to clear the entire system.

    @Faver, welcome to the forum.

Your problem is the BIOS.  However, it is because the 1060 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The BIOS may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last cards only not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670.

MSI made cards with a switch that can be used with a Legacy BIOS or UEFI.  If you decide to go this way, you must contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

The upgrade of the motherboard can be a problem.  HP has taken advice their specifications.  Therefore, they are not necessarily the same as the commercial versions.  Please make sure that the holes in the motherboard matches the accessory in the case.  In addition, some members have had problems with the connectors in the connections case before, for example, the power button.

  • Problem of backlight flicking of HP Pavilion dv4-1412tx

I have a 2 years old Hp Pavilion dv4-1412tx laptop and recently I have a problem with my backlight of the screen. It wobbles a lot and sometimes totally blackoff when I have the screen at certain angles of tilt. It wobbles too much even when I slightly move or shake the laptop. I changed the inverter, but the problem remains. I feel is wrong with the cable/Ribbon that connect the screen on the main body of the laptop. I checked upward with a local computer store and they told me that there is no spare parts for the connector of cable/Ribbon for my particular model. I even made reference interview dv4 guide manual that I downloaded from the hp site and I can't find any references to this particular piece. Is there anyone can help?

    Hi, Benjamin,.

Yes. I just got my replaced dv4-1412tx LCD cable and it works fine now. It took almost 3 weeks for research technician and wait for the new cable to arrive. The part S/N is DC02000IO00-screen LCD - PA (the characters after 2000 is alphabet 'io' not '10'). You can do a google search and even get it on ebay.

    http://www.eBay.com/Sch/i.html?_nkw=dv4+LCD+cable

This seems to be a common problem for older models dv4. If you google on the web, you will see a lot of people are facing the same problem. I wish the Hp technical support team can read this message and give appropriate assistance to those in need.

I hope this info will help. Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion dv5237cl Notebook intermittently Shuts Down Due to a thermal event, fan stops working

    Basics:

    HP Pavilion dv5237cl

    Windows XP SP3 32 bit

    PCMCIA SATA card

1 TB WD Scorpio blue HARD drive

Computer laptop with 200mm fan cooling pad

    Some USB devices

    Latest drivers and BIOS

Note: This problem also occurs with Windows 8.

For the last year my HP Pavilion dv5237cl turned off because of the fan does not work.  I have never seen the term "Thermal event" displayed prior to or on restart.  Usually just abruptly, he died.   I also saw a few BSOD that are not very descriptive to pointing to what the cause was and may be not related.  The laptop usually just stops working and goes out, maybe once every couple of days if it is caught in time.  I HAV been using a Defragmenter memory to help as appropriate the BSOD were due to low memory resources.  I am tracking the temperature of the CPU and have noticed that it is high, when the fan is not working.  I saw up to 85 C and I'm not sure but think that the laptop stops at 100 ° C.  The fan is usually always go at least to a low hum.  Usually, on startup, I get a strong burst of activity fan and if this isn't the case I'm clued in to a fan, not to exploit the condition.

If I take a PIN regularly and carefully stitch it through the opening in the fan and cause rotate the blades of the fan, the fan will usually start working.  It sometimes takes a few tries.  I noticed the fan poll as it is sometimes wobbling and resembling a noise of ball bearing, but I think it is also maybe a hinged fan.  Some hopping may be due to the time that I used the pin code.  Fan usually settled in a low purr and lately with some ball light bering sound, maybe just wobble.  If I'm not there when the fan stops working or do not notice to try to remedy with a PIN, then the laptop stops due to excessive heat.

Things I've tried or thought of trying:

-J' I used canned and out air / blow accumulated debri from inside the vacuum cleaner to suck up and cleaned the vents.

-J' I add the cooler that keeps time less around 5 c.  The laptop temperature was 55 to 62 C this winter.

-Install the latest drivers and BIOS.

    -Tried to use Windows 8.

-J' bought a replacement fan but did not want to disassemble the laptop to install it and also not be

not know if it is really a material fan or a control sensor or other hardware problem or software problem.

Thanks in advance.  Help to solve this problem would be appreciated.

I understand that your laptop stops due to overheating.

Given the behavior and how the fan no longer works and must be "started" once again, this does not sound like a fan failure.  Page 5-60 of this guide details the process of replacing the fan and the heatsink in Notepad.  If this is something you'd rather not do it yourself, you could contact a local PC shop for the fan and the heat sink replaced.

  • The entry on the laptop power socket is wobbly.

    I have a laptop

    GS817UA #ABA part number

    service tag dv6647nr

The entry on the laptop power socket is wobbly. If you touch the power cord of the power supply you can turn off the power to the laptop.

    I have 2 questions:

    * What I have, a HP Pavilion dv6500 or a dv6647nr? The reason why I ask is because spare parts are different between 6500 and 6600 series.

    * Would need an assemblage of spare 65w or 90w a?

    Here are the numbers:

For use only with the computer using a sector 90 models w adapter 446524-001
For use only with models of computer using an area 65 w adapter 449454-001

Many of you use depends on the AC adapter you have. Look at the label and see what volts and amps it y a. Volts x amps is watts for an 18.5 volt amp 3.5 is about 65 watts, and so on.

    Here is the Service Manual:

  • iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone, which has the latest operating system running

iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone running. I downloaded the latest OS for the phone and the latest version of iTunes on my PC and have tried all USB ports several times. I also reinstalled drivers USB to the PC.  The phone is recognized on the computer of a friend under Win 7. All shows when I plug it on mine is a page showing the 'Apple iPhone' folder display of storage internal (2.18 GB free of 14.7 GB). Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.

I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.

Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.

  • HP Pavilion dv7: unable to connect to the Internet

I can't access the Internet via ethernet or wireless. It seemed to happen after an update of Windows 10.

Other computer and android phone can access the wireless. When I click on the wireless icon, I see different networks, including mine. However, it is said, "No Internet, secure."
