Workflow for editing 4 k in sequence 1080 p?

I am new to the first and still drove my head around this.

So I turn in 4 k with a gopro on a drone.  I want to use most of the stabilizer of the chain to get rid of some of shakes it.

My last video will be 1080 p so I guess to make better use of the culture of this chain wants to change in a sequence of 1080 p.

What is the process for this?

Through googling and trial and error now I am:

Slip into my 4 k to sequence images,

Return to the settings of the sequence and return to 1920 x 1080.

Right click on the clip, then click on set to the size of the image

However, when I go to use stabilizer warp he says "stabilizer Warp requires clip dimensions to match the sequence (fix by nexting)."

So I guess I'm something wrong here.  If someone could (in a friendly way noob) explain the process, I should go by to get the most out of my high resolution in a sequence of 1080 p to make the most of the extra resolution to stabilize?

Thank you!

It's all right, (I still shoot 1080 and 720 sequences to have the resolution 2 x to zoom and crop to web content).

When you nest a sequence of 4 k in a sequence of k 2, is the same that compose before, so your 4 k is cropped to 2 k, (as opposed to watching a window of 2 k 4 k).

Go ahead and stabilize you images in a sequence of k 4 native and the edges revealed that results when you clear the autoscale will be clipped on when nested in sequence 2 k by default.

Can anyone suggest a good application repository with the approval workflow that will allow editing of a pdf document without having to download the pdf file and download after marking? The workflow should be sent by e-mail to each reviewer in sequence, so after the first examiner makes a change, the e-mail will then automatically, go to the second reviewer; and so on.  I tried SharePoint, but editing within the browser does not work, and editing with acrobat requires the pdf to download locally.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Dale2333,

It's not possible to edit the PDF file online, you will need to download the PDF and then modify it using Acrobat.

  • Photoshop CS5 for editing, 11 items to organize: how to improve the awkward workflow?

    Photoshop CS5 & elements-11

I have been using a marriage of these programs over a period of time with limited success. I'm using Cs5 for editing and organizer elements - 11 for filing catalog.   I recently updated my computer and my success came to an end. Previously, I had used 8 items but had to move to the item 11 because my Nikon D800E required a new updated plugin Raw.  In both cases the Cs5 a raw file in a together produced version comprised of two raw files. (Neff & Neff-1) which is well positioned in the Ellements catalog. However, the change of the Psd file showed shortly after the facts in the form of file found in the elements. I then created a stack. I always get the Raw very good version, but now I can't get the PSD file edited outside editor Cs5 and in the catalog of items.

My workflow starts by downloading files from the camera via the card from the camera in the elements Organizer. The folder is then taken up in Cs5 to edit raw file, and then in the cs5 Editor by Open the file. After the change of the PSD file, it is saved via the file menu dropdown. However, it will not appear in the catalog of items.  If I change in the element Editor, it works very well.

I normally after editing and tagging then move the files to an external drive. Unfortunately, it becomes even more problematic for updating the images here.

I believe that there is a better way to make this marriage.

    I'd appreciate your comments.

Bob you do not use the items to edit you it fair organizer.  It's hard to understand why you would do that. LR library is one of better organizing and bridge is also a good organizer.  It is difficult to understand why you want the expense and maintenance of the elements just to get it organized.   Using Adobe DNG converter, you should be able to handle the new data camera RAW with ACR CS5 version. Bridge and LR are coded with the support of photoshop Photoshop in their design.

  • "Workflow" for FCPX AIC

I have a client with a video in the Apple Intermediate Codec. I need to change the audio and video of return in AIC. Video original AIC seems to edit natively in FCPX, but I need to export out of FCPX and then convert back to AIC for editing in Final Cut Express. Is there a reasonable and realistic workflow to achieve? Can I keep the 1920 X 1080 resolution? I am using FCPX 10.2.3 and OS X 10.11.3.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you

  • What is the best/best format to convert avchd, for editing?

What is the best format to convert avchd 1920/1080, for editing purposes?

I tried to convert HDV but did not like the quality. I then tried to convert avchd files raw in mpeg2 @ 35 Mbps. It of much cleaner, but makes it slow, about 1-1 ratio.

looking for a codec that is quick to convert & clean.

I have aPC, Win 7, 6 cores, 32 GB ram, Raid 0, fast cuda card ect...

AVCHD has the same as DV data rate, so shuttle that quickly will be not a problem hard drive, even a single disc, and still less a RAID 0 array.  If he stutters, it's one thing to CPU.

Conversion to another format will increase the flow of data significantly, requiring your RAID to redouble their efforts.  However, the CPU will probably work less, so this could solve the stuttering.

You can still add all the elements of a sequence and then add this sequence in the Source monitor for editing as if it were a long clip.

Having said all that, if you still feel the need to convert then I recommend the free and the UT lossless codec.  You can export the clips combined pp right, and new media will not suffer no loss of quality due to the conversion.

  • Need advice on conversion of H.264 DSLR images in another format for editing and stabilization of Warp

Well, gang. I am wondering how to make my life easier.

We shot a ton of images over the weekend using a Canon 5 d MK2 (1080 p 30) and also a camcorder Sony Z5 HD (1080i). The problem is trying to change two formats in Premiere Pro.

A bigger problem is that a large part of the images requires a race through with stabilizing Warp AE 5.5 Long history.

Despite my state of the art, i7, I think this is taken way too long to go Warp stabilizer. It is atrocious.

I read that I should I convert my images to another codec, but I see so many options I am just confused about all this. MJPEG was recommendedto me, but I'm confused by how it works, and if I can even support him.

My system has Adobe CS5 Production Premium, and I have a trial version of AE5.5. I can not really afford right now to buy another software. Sorry, I'm broken.

What can you advise me? Maybe I need to change as it is with all sequences of shakey and then when I have my final cut, stabilize what needs? This could be a pain in the neck, because we use a lot of crossfades.

Should my Sony Z5 being all 1080i images I get something like Squared 5 MPEG Streamclip video converter to do a batch conversion to 1080 p? If so, what codec or format for editing with my DSLR images.

Once again, my apologies for the asking. I absolutely read on it and spend a lot of time trying to figure it all out myself, but I'm stumped.

Oh boy... so my sequence, which I did a bit of work, is 1920 x 1080 progressive (30). Is it possible to modify the sequence after the fact? I've never understood that one before.

Impossible to change a sequence, but just create a new sequence of 1080i60, copy changes from your 1080 p sequence and paste them into the new. You change the order of the fields, not a time base, so all of your changes will (or should) always fall on the limits of the legal framework.

Ultimate output this is a 1080 p BluRay.

I'm not a guy to BluRay, but I think that the only 1080 progressive formats of BD are 1080p23.976 and 1080 p 24 - No 1080 p 30 (29.97). So, you should be better off editing in a sequence of 1080i60 then, since it is a legitimate BD format.

  • "Workflow" for Slow Motion DSLR

Hi, I've been experimenting with the creation of idle smoothly in a calendar of 1080/25 and questioned on the best workflow. (I used a Canon 70 d, stipulating that 50 frames per second at 720)

So: Chronology 1080/25 Pro Res FCP7 (majority of the 1080/25 source footage)

I want to add a short section of idle and for that I shot in 720/50 - but of course it is made at 25 frames per second when added to the timeline and playback is stuttering when 50% of the speed value.

So I sent the clip (at 50%) to 4 Motion and applied optical flow - this provided a smoother playback

(I tried to optical flow on a clip of 1080/25 to 50% but reading stuttered slightly)

I just wanted to confirm if it is the best workflow for idling smoothly.  Also when I tried to apply the optic flow on a second Motion 4 already 'optic flow"selected clip, but when I clicked on that nothing happened - I had to close out Motion and start over with the clip under a new name.

  • Workflow to edit an existing virtual machine

    Hi all!

I just wanted to ask if someone can give me an example of a workflow that can be used to modify an existing virtual machine.

I guess in order to change the virtual machine, you will need to power off, edit and it turns on again.

I would like to modify CPU, RAM and maybe add/remove a disc. I looked in the workflow to create VM and I see how the settings are made, but I don't know how to edit on an existing virtual machine.

    Thank you

Take a look at this post:

http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-10543 for adding memory to a virtual computer.  The same area http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/mgmt/orchestrator/?view=documents has another workflow for adding cycles CPU.  Cycles adding CPU or memory to new or existing VM are the same call as you add really, but instead, you set how much memory & cpu you want.

There is a workflow that you can use to add a disk in the library.

  • Premiere Pro CC6 and CC7 will not video or still images to the timeline for editing.

First Pro CC7 and nc6 don't add video or still images to the timeline for editing. It wil play the clip, but that's all.  I tried a lot of different vidoe, mov, avi files and others more, photo jpeg, but not matter what I do I can't move to the time line to edit. I have the 30 days trial version. I watched the tutorial, done the same thing, no luck.

Ideas and help appreciated otherwise I'll just bin the whole program. I tried it on TOC Final 7 pro and there is no problem (it's on the mac, the first pro is on pc).

Chances are that you want to create a sequence to put them.

  • What type of file to use for editing

Recently, I filmed a school show to create DVDs for parents. I use 9 before editing. I understand that the output for the film should be MPEG2 for DVD. We used three different cameras (I know it's a bad thing to do with before), but we used what we have available. However, we used a Hero2 GoPro mounted on the piano to give a unique perspective. Therefore, I need to convert the video files to a common format for editing. Y at - it a 'best' file format to edit or y at - it a file format which is easier to work with Premiere Elements while maintaining the best quality for the DVD release?

    Here's what we used:

1 camera (with the audio track of the soundcard) was a Canon Vixia HF300. It has exported to the dreaded .mts format (half of the show to 24mbps) and the other half to 17mbps

    2 camera was a Nikon 5100 files .mov, 1920 x 1080, H.264, linear PCM, Total 19 k sampling rate

    Camera 3 was a GoPro Hero saved 2 .mp4 1280 x 780 H.264 Total bit rate 15 k

As the proportions are not equivalent, I intend using black bars as opposed to culture.

I'm editting on a MacBookPro Apple 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8 GB of RAM running OS x 10.7

Also, should I use Quicktime to convert these files in the common format I choose? Ironically, all these images can be changed in iMovie, iMovie is horrible for several cameras.

    Thank you

    Ed

I thought I would answer back with the final result. It always bothers me when people say how they have solved a problem.

Unfortunately, this question consumed too much time. I hunt around and try all these converters shareware without result. On a lark, I tried the demo version of Final Cut Pro X, after all, I tried everthing else. FCP X imported not only all files without problem, but it modifies them without having to convert them into a common format. The time saved will easily cover the price tag of $300.

I admit it, I was pushing the limitations of the pre 9 using different files for the same multicam project formats. Probably should have started with FCP since the beginning.

    Thanks again for your help!

  • Workflow for the external Site visitor?

I'm trying to find out what workflow is used when someone visits the external website AND begins its application process. I'm not able to locate the correct workflow.

    Thank you, Al

Unlike SSHRC, iRecruitment don't use workflow for all its transactions. Specifically, iRecruitment uses workflows for the following operations:

    * Offers (sending, outfit and applicant responses) - IRCOFFERWF
    * Vacancies (new and edit)-IRCWF
    * Registration ex-employee (IRCREGWF)

I don't think that iRecruitment has a workflow for internal or external from the application process, although I think that there is a "workflow" OTA for any applicant who assessment during their application process.

  • Best material for editing?

I want to upgrade my computer to edit it. I have an iMac 2011: 2,5 GHz, memory 4 GB, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB. I plan to buy another iMac. with a budget of $2500, what would you recommend for best performance for editing? I would emphasise quality video card, memory RAM, or disk (4 cores, 7 carrots, fusion, etc...)?

Download video card with MOST of the vRAM.  That means generally that you will also get the quad core i7 with Turbo Boost technology (acts like one 8 cores when you need it - and presents itself as 8 cores with MenuMeters.) The 2013 iMac had a 'backdoor' easily add RAM, and if this is always the case - buy an extra set of 16G of Crucial or some other 3rd party and add it yourself - you will make savings (if I remember) about $200.  If I had to start everything, I would have also obtained the reader of the merger, but the internal (regular) hard drive in the iMac Gets a pretty decent read/write speed (about 130 MB/s) but not what you really want with video editing. The proposed internal SSD is fairly low, so, I generally recommend external SSD drives and their construction schedules. USB3 is fast. Love at first sight would be better, but it's still expensive. An SSD in USB3 is quite impressive (I get about 300-400 MB/s R/W for one and 370-435 on the other). You can get a USB3 box for $10-$40 (Amazon has a housing Kdlinks now, limited time, for only $9.95!) and you can find a 500 GB SSD for under $ 200 these days. I bought Crucial SSD (I have a little bit o 'too o' Scottish blood in me), but what I've read, the Samsung EVOs are among the fastest (~500MB/s).

-VRAM so Max it is possible! (- what it takes to get this top of the line card... graphics you have it.) - and lotsa RAM (you can buy 8 with mac + 16 crucial for 24 which will give respectable service) - fast external drives are a nice addition.

  • Photos, can I use Photoshop Elements for editing?

In iPhoto, you could choose 3 third-party programs such as Photoshop Elements for editing.  The first Photos do not allow that.  Can you now choose Photoshop Elements for image editing in Photos?

No, you can use more applications as external editors are.  Which now works are extensions of photo editing app.  If an application provides an extension of photo editing, you can call it the control panel of the Photo, for instance affinity Photos provides extensions of app, but not (yet) PhotoShop Elements.

  • "It's better to pen for edit of .lvproj rather than ClearCase

I was told that it is better to open a file for editing .lvproj to source control or directory. Reason being it would help to ensure that LabView might experience changes that affect the other screws and also be better able to deal with the changes of names or relocations.

So if I open a VI from the project folder, and then double-click a sub - VI it contains, the Subvi shall enjoy the same protection, or should it also be opened from the project file?

    Thank you

    JVH

    Hi jvh,.

I imagine that the Subvi is the same instance within the calling VI being covered by the project, then it should produce the same result because the NCC affects the whole of the hierarchy within the project.  I found a few resources in the community OR (here) and with the help of LabVIEW 2009 (Source code for projects LabVIEW Control Configuration) which should be a great starting point for greater precision of the NCC with LabVIEW.

    I hope this helps!
