WORKS for windows 7

I have office 2010 and it's too much for me to understand.  How can I return to Microsoft Works?  I see it on sale on the internet, but not from Microsoft. I have a new computer with windows 7, line 9.  I acually have a my original disc Works 4.5 t - it work? (I'm old and throw anything away unless I'm positive will ever need)  If not, is there a version I can buy that is compatible with this computer?  I geek team so I can take this into office deleted and downloaded works. Help!

Unless you have physically purchased Office 2010 preloaded is a trial version, which will expire after about 60 days.

MS Works is no longer manufactured by MS, the latest version was Works 9.0 you can get from various online sites, such as Amazon

MS Works 4.5 will not run on win7

To uninstall Office 2010 you do through programs & features, or you can use this tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

To install Works you just put the cd in the drive and follow the instructions

However if you were used to Works 4.5 you can find Works 9.0 also a learning curve

I have a6530f a desktop Pavilion PC.  I am currently running Windows 7 and am interested in upgrading to Windows 10.  I get and error message when you try to install the W10.  "NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430".  I think I need to improve my video card.  Can what video card I install that will work for Windows 10 and is rated for the power supply 300W in my lap?  I'm not very techie.

Many of these inexpensive graphics cards for Newegg.com should work with Windows 10. Just watch for those who require a 300 watt power supply system or less.

Drivers for these cards may be on the page drivers GeForcefunds. Simply select the card in the drop-down list or use the "Auto-Detect".

  • Phone call from a person who claims to work for Windows.

Occasionally my old computer crashes when I read a Blog, and I have to close it manually.  When I start backup it asks if I want to send an error message.  If I do not send the message, in a few days I get a phone call from someone claiming to work for Windows and they want access to my computer.  Is it a coincedence?  It happened three times in the past months, and I know that Microsoft does not call customers.  So is there someone who works at Microsoft who does something they shouldn't?  The people who have always had Indian accents or Chinese who are difficult to understand.

  • HP Pavilion AIO: Camera stopped working for windows welcome

The new AIO Pavilion came back with Windows 10 months and I used facial recognition to open a session.  All fine until 1 week ago, when the home screen says now "preparing...". "and"can't turn to the camera. Use the PIn to connect.

If I go into RealSense, the camera works very well.  Windows settings for the camera are all lit, so nothing seems to have changed.

What is a recent update of Windows 10 which changed the signal to the camera?  If so, how I restire it?

    Hi there @DavidG6,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that your web camera does not work properly for connection purposes.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Assuming that it could be a recent update of Windows 10 which is the culprit, you can try using a computers HP - use Microsoft System Restore (Windows, 10, 8) to return to the level of before the problem appeared and see if it works now.  If so, then it is likely a change in software to your system.  Once you have determined that, then you can check: How to prevent Windows 10 to automatically download updated -howtogeek.com, prevent this set of updates.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

    Hi guys

I have a C50-A00V Satellite laptop and I just upgraded to windows 8.1 also used toshiba service station to upgarde my drivers, which worked but took like 4 hours in any case on the last update for toshiba hptkey function, I thought that the update and install was finished and I restarted but I was wrong after reboot I found that the driver was marked by one. in Device Manager, I tried to update driver it bt it says I have the best driver... so I tried to use the toshiba s3rvice station to locate and install the driver, but is not picking it up, I think he thinks his already installed...

  • I think that I have been scammed by the company supposed to work for windows saying that my computer was about to crash

A company called vap technology called me last night on my phone at home and said to my computer was about to crash. they were Indian speaking people and said they were working for microsoft support; as I am not a laptop user profficent of long date, I couldn't tell if they were or not. How to get back money from $149, I paid them to fix the problems and how to uninstall the programs they put on my laptop; also what can I use to tell if it's a microsoft technology? Help!

    It is a scam. See:

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx .

If they have access to your PC, they can install any number of malicious programs. My recommendation is to do a clean reinstall of Windows - it's the only way to be sure that your system is clean.

If you have them paid by credit card, tell your card provider immediately what has happenend.

All the data on your computer (passwords, credit card numbers, numbers of account documents, etc.) may have been compromised (they may not know now). According to the companies concerned (for example your bank) what happened.

Use another PC to change passwords.

    Consider telling your local police.

    Hi joottley,

    ·         Exactly when you receive the error message?

I suggest you try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Put the computer in a clean boot State, and if the problem persists.

Note: After the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 2: If the problem persists in safe mode, then check the observer after return with details and events for the cause.

  • Webcam does not work for Windows 8. Help, please.

    Hello

I use the webcam on my laptop a bit, but recently, it has been in place. He decides little when he wanted to work. However, last week it stopped altogether. I went into Device Manager to try to understand what could be the issue but my phone shows No imaging devices!

    My phone is a Samsung NP350EC A0CDX.

Can someone help me please get my webcam working again, because it is very important, and I can't afford to buy one that will clip on my laptop as a substitute.

Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged. Re-install a new copy should help
