WRE54G dead - no lights on

I have a WRE54G and yesterday I noticed that my connection was very poor, so I checked the Extender and the two blue lights was on but I decided to hit the button Configure and see if this helped (have done it before).  When I did the two blue lights exploded, I tried pushing the reset button but it did nothing.  I have a second extension, so I plugged it in and it worked fine all day and night but this morning I had a blue light and a red.  Yet once I pushed the button set up and all the lights went dark, ideas, that can bring this back to life?

Try this-

Press and hold the button of reset for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your Expander, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable...

1 connect your Expander to a computer, click the Start button > settings > Control Panel > network connections - right click on the Local area connection icon and go to properties - in the "Général" tab select "TCP/IP Internet Protocol" and click on the button properties-select "Use the following IP address" - IP address: 192.168.1.5, subnet mask - 255.255.255.0... Click on the Ok button to save and click 'Close' in the main window of properties - provide...

2. now, open a page of wired Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.240.
Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase... It should open your Expander installation...

3. Once you get to the configuration page, you can follow this link to change the settings of Expander...

NOTE: The link also says to check the settings of your router wireless...

4. While changing the Expander settings, please make sure that the Wireless Settings(SSID/Network Name and WEP/WPA Key) are identical on the two devices (router and Expander)... Also be sure to change the default IP of the Expander to match your network and gateway address must be your router address... e.g. Expander IP address: 192.168.1.240(assuming adresse IP par défaut de votre routeur est 192.168.1.1) subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1...

5. After configuring the Extender, you must disconnect from the computer and go to the Local network connection TCP/IP properties and set it back to get automatically the IP addresses... Disconnect the Extender from the computer and the two devices (Expander and router) power cycle... Your extension must be configured...

In case if you do not get the Expander set up just to leave connected to your computer and reset it for 30 seconds and follow step 2, step 3, step 4 and step 5...

I hope this helps.

There must be a serious problem with electronic power (motherboard) so I guess there is nothing you can do about it. Bring it to the Toshiba service and ask for help.
In such cases mainboard needs to be replaced, so it can be very expensive for you.

  • My HP dv4-1145go is dead - no lights, no video, nothing.

A few months ago my dv4 has stopped working. It is a device I want to make it work, in order to prevail on the TRIPS Agreement and use it for email and web browsing.

My diagnostic skills are limited and a multimeter is the extent of my test. I don't want to spend money on the wrong parts, but I'm willing and able to replace the motherboard if it is the right solution. Given to nine are available on the Internet within my price range, which is around $100, as the machine is 5 or 6 years.

Your experts can help me greatly in commenting and suggesting steps that I take to diagnose the problem. Here's what I've done to date.

During the inspection, I first noticed that the power jack led was, so I traded the power adapter external with another one of HP brand and nothing has changed. I tried the power dv4 adapter, also with a label of HP, on my HP dv6700 and it worked correctly. So for now, I think my adapter is good.

Then, I removed the motherboard from the folder and it inspected for burnt components or other signs of deterioration. Nothing is obviously broken or burned, but I found a "fist" full of dog hair that I removed the fan. Don't know if it was enough hair to stop the fan and the overheating of the device. I worry about the processor is damaged, but do not know how to check. Any comments on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

To be on the safe side, I ordered a power supply and cable for a modest sum of money. He is yet to come, but seems to be a wise investment.

That is the measure of my efforts, and I hope that an expert will take my fate to heart and make comments and suggestions to help me find the cause of failure of the laptop. Then, I can better decide on the right solution.

    Thank you.

Thank you very much for the compliment and the suggestion to move forward. I'll do what you suggest. Look at this post for updates, but I can take the time in all this is done. Thanks again.

  • Satellite A210-12U - no lights come on or anything like that

I have a Satellite A210-12U who died on me. I wasn't doing anything special, just posting on a bulletin board, one just like this and the power died, almost as a power cut, without warning. It was plugged in at the time. And now it is completely dead, no light doesn't come on or anything like that. Power cord is fine, just like the battery because the two work very well on my L500-11N. I tried out the battery and the power cord, hold the power button for more than 30 seconds and the replacement, but he's still dead. Is there some sort of internal fuse?

I thought it might be some sort of internal fuse, but have no idea if she has one, it is unlikely, if yes, can I change myself, and where can I find?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

I had a similar problem last year and I did the following steps:

-Disconnect the battery and the AC adapter
-Wait at least an hour or over night for example
-Reconnect the two (battery and AC/DC adapter)
    -Try to start the laptop

If that doesn t work, this seems to be a malfunction of the equipment. Maybe the card mother, AC/DC adapter or something else

  • Reload Windows XP on Portege R100

I have a R100, who does not start in Windows (XP) - gets etc. secure mode/last good on-screen, then dies. I was going to try to repair the Windows installation using a XP normal drive, rather than a full recovery of the product, as the back-ups have been exceeded, of course, and I need some files.

Another problem, my external PC card drive of Toshiba (PA3246) seems to be dead - power light turns on, but door will not open and not recognized on any PC. It seems impossible to get a Toshiba PC card disk now, only USB.

    So, questions:
    (1) what is the probability to repair the Windows installation, as opposed to the full recovery of the product?
    (2) any thoughts on a failed external drive?
    (3) would be a R100 boot from a Windows CD via a USB connection, or no one knows source of suitable PC card reader (already tried ebay etc.)?

    Any help at all welcomed.

    Hello

I see you have a lot of Guy question ;) I will try to provide the best answers and proposals of solution :)

    Then on the point:
    1. I don't see any other chances of recovering all of the operating system.
If you need some files, you could first remove the HARD drive and it could connect to another computer via the external USB HDD controller.

    2. If the external PC card reader is dead, it will take a new :( Sorry, but I don't see any other possibilities for a fix.
Perhaps that the guarantee is valid and you will get a new one for free

    3. If you want more details on the R100 and boot USB please check this:

  • Re: Equium A200-15i: Wireless stops working, so wireless adpater visible

My netwrok A200-15i wireless stopped working by itself during the download.

Internet works via ethernet. Wireless physical switch is on, but the indicator does not turn on. No wireless adapter appears in the "network adapters" in the system (only the Ethernet card is visible).

During the installation of the Atheros driver, receive a message that the hardware is not connected.

    Help, please.

Looks like the wireless card is dead the light that lights up with the switch is wired and not software driven.
Even if it's very weird for the light to malfunction so there maybe a small chance of the card somehow has detached itself internally.
I'm not familiar with the A200 I know that some earlier Toshiba models allow you access to the wifi cards since they are optional.
For less hassle, buy a USB dongle or cardbus, but check online first that some brands good markets suffer from range and a poor performance.

  • firmware for the iPhone bluetooth headset original work with the 5s iPhone

    Hello to our community,

I have a beautiful original apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset model n °: A1221

This helmet does not work correctly.

When I connect the headphones to the computer (iMac 27 "mid-2011, el Capitan 10.11.3) with the original Headset USB travel cable, headset LED is bright orange and the LED color changes to green after a few minutes.

When I disconnect the headset no lights are bright and the headphones does not work.

After charging more then 1 hour the same answer.

When I put the headset with the USB cable connected in my ear, I can hear the sound signal very low volume of pitch high e. When I push and hold the button of the headset tone is stronger.

When I disconnect the cable, the helmet is instantly dead, no lights, no sound, nothing happens when I push the button on the short headset, for a second, four seconds, 10 seconds or even longer.

Is there a possibility to reset? A new firmware? An Exchange program? Any help?

    Max

The helmet has been abandoned, I think that 2009. So, it's long after the warranty. BT headsets have come a long way since then. The Apple headset does support A2DP, now standard. I he write off and buy something current.

    Hello

Looks like you used a bad version of BIOS update the BIOS on the device. Well, I put t know if you know but the wrong version or an incorrect BIOS update procedure may damage the motherboard. Also it is not possible to upgrade the BIOS for example 1.6 to 1.3 s.
I recommend contacting the partner of service in your country, because only the ASP can install the BIOS again. Hope that the motherboard is not broken.

"I was told that there is a problem with LCD screens that can not be helped. My question is if it happen so fast? »

Dead pixels (light or miscolored points or areas) are likely to occur sooner rather than later, because they are caused by a defect. These flaws are inherent in the process of putting electronic components individual 1 million on PRE screen.

'Stuck' pixels (dead pixels) can appear at any time and can sometimes be fixed by flashing of the patterns of color on the screen. Once the SDK is released we'll probably see some apps for it immediately because they are simple.

  • Pavillion G6 A1J18AV: What is the appropriate wireless card replacement

Existing wireless adapter seems dead (wireless light remains orange and the wireless card does not appear in Device Manager).

How can I know what part is the correct replacement part?  I would have chosen the exact part that has been in the computer (639967-011), but it does not appear on the HP spare parts.

    Hi, Kevin:

That'd be the part, you have to get.

IMO, it would be cheaper to get a card used but tested on eBay.
