  You will need to contact the vendor for information about software pre-installed.  It is possible that they provide what you need for reassembly, although some applications that are supplied as preinstalled are designed for the machine on which they are initially installed.

  I am trying to upgrade to windows 10. I won my windows product key (authentic, same windows installed when bought new by Argos) via the CMD prompt: wmic path softwarelicensingservice is OA3xOriginalProductKey and the 10 windows update tells me that the serial number is incorrect / not valid (I type the code correctly in the update).

  I try to install fresh ISO, all other methods have failed. I believe that this is due to the verification of product key.

  Your laptop has been preisntalled already active Toshiba image container system.
  You must perform the upgrade (not a clean install) to get 10 Win.

  Also, Toshiba does not provide the serial key to activate the systems becase the system is activated automatically conneting the laptop to the internet.

  You need to reinstall the operating system using good recovery disc because this recovery disk is already activated and does not need keys series.

  If you don t have the recovery disc, then you will need ORIGINAL of Microsoft Windows disk with valid serial key. The missing Toshiba driver can be downloaded from the page of European driver for Toshiba

  Sorry, but without valid serial key, you will not be able to activate the OS!

  The recovery disk contains the image of Toshiba and this image Windows 7, drivers and other software. Windows 7 is already enabled and requires no serial key.

  I recommend reading the user manual. You will find information on the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
  The recovery media Creator allows you to create a recovery disk. This disc install again the image of Toshiba on the laptop. The serial key is not necessary because the Windows 8 will be activated automatically using Toshiba image.

  I agree with the user above.
  The serial key you will find at the bottom of the device is not similar to the serial key that can be read using a few 3rd party applications!

  But you don t need such series on your Toshiba laptop key.
  The restore CD contains an image of Toshiba which is already activated!

  AFAIK the preinstalled Office is a trial version!
  You cannot use the serial key you found at the bottom of the unit because the key to this series is a serial OEM key and it belongs to the version preinstalled Windows.

  So if you want to enable the office, then you will need to purchase the full license!
