WRT320N port redirection problem

Hi, I have a web server on my NAS, with my old WRT54G I had no problem with port forwarding, but with my new WRT320N I can't get this to work (I tried a unique and port range). My site is ok, if I try to access from LAN but not on the internet. I have seen http://routersetup.blogspot.com/2007/08/port-forwarding-checklist.html but there is nothing wrong in my CONF. Can someone help me?

Nevermind, I found the problem. I had changed the security options in my SIN...

I lost 3 hours... I hate myself

  • Port redirection with pix

Hi, I am trying set up port forwarding on a PIX 515 running version 6.3 (3) and nowhere fast.

The idea is to redirect the traffic from port 25 to port 2525 and the static command, I tried is as follows:-

    static (inside, outside) tcp 25 X.X.X.X Y.Y.Y.Y 2525 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 100

Where X.X.X.X is a public address and Y.Y.Y.Y is a private address.

Also, I added a line of the access list to port 25 for incoming host X.X.X.X.

The redirect does not work. I even went as far as the test on a web server, forwarding port 80 to 8080, but traffic is sent to port 80, regardless of the static command.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? My understanding is that the port redirects were possible with the later pix 6.0 or version software.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rick

No sweat. I almost always overlook the simplest things so when someone else has a problem, I start easy and move up. Usually solves the problem more quickly.

As for your other question, Yes, it is normal. Remember that static is bi-directional translations. Thus, when you added the port information in the static command to the SMTP server, the PIX only knows now to translate packets from TCP/2525 (I think that's how you had it). When your mail server tries to send outgoing mail, the source port will be an ephemeral port (IE not 2525 probably). So, I usually people do something like this:

    static (inside, outside) tcp 1.1.1.1 25 10.1.1.1 2525 netmask 255.255.255.255

    NAT (inside) 2 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.255

    Global 2 1.1.1.1 (outside)

It takes care of everything in both directions of the 10.1.1.1 host (for example).

Hope that this helps explain the issues. Good luck.

  • Comcast mail will not work on Mail.app PORT 995 problem once again!

OK, so this problem has arisen in the last days.

I can't send or receive mail from Comcast in Mail.app

At first, it was the 995 problem, but now it just says:

The server returned the error: the attempt to send data to the server "mail.comcast.net" failed.

After three calls to Comcast, told me it's because Mail.app, because "Apple changed something in the application.

Is not the thing the more ridiculous than you already heard? I have not updated anything either and to my knowledge, Apple is just change your app on your hard drive.

Twice before, Comcast, once they have admitted that the problem was theirs, has been able to fix it. But not now.

Yes I can get mail on the web, but it's stupid, and I need to use the POP email... I work online all day.

They suggested one of the ports be changed from 587 to 465 but that doesn't work anymore. I use SSL with PW auth.

I have set up scores of Mac for people and this isn't a problem with Mail.app, but a Comcast server problem that they will NOT admit.

Anyone having this problem and what to do? I have about 50 other emails configured, are not those of the areas will on the same PIPE and using the VERY SAME SETTINGS to SEND?

  • automatic redirection problem 9.3 IOS

I'm almost in tears at the moment that my Apple products are practically unusable - I even had to resurrect my faithful laptop windows in order to access the Apple support. We have pro iPad and iPhone 6 s, 6th Gen iPod, iPad Air II and since upgrading to ios 9.3 navigation or by clicking on the links on any device with java script enabled because of the problems. With all the loading links active js, but at the last second auto redirects through a series of ad sites onclick (up to 12 redirects in some cases, sometimes only half that much). Each series of redirects is found in an amazing where I won a new product from apple or £ 1000 to spend in Ladbrooks or trying to take me to the App store. Some end on a popup where the only option is to click to access a site that cannot be left or to force close the application/browser and try again.

After reading the forums, I tried the following (several times and their many variants):

Updated to ios 9.3.1 (thought what made the case but 5 minutes in and everything happened in shape yet pear).

    Reset the browser history

Reset the network settings (wish I had not done this - network customer support left 6 settings)

    Forced shutdown of all applications

    Forced shutdown of devices

NOTHING (except the js that is not really a solution to this problem by disabling) stopped the automatic redirects - they happen links in emails, messages, applications, Web pages, directly from search results, Safari app, Google app, and all the other applications that load external Web pages.

I now have a house full of devices that are almost unusable - js is used in almost all websites. Cannot even log on this forum of support without him, so back to the computer windows laptop.

Eager and willing to try almost anything to solve this - my frustration level is ridiculously high - for someone who works in THIS medium that is a pretty damning level!

Hey guys I have a strange bug with a laptop computer Toshiba Tecra R850 customers with the port replicator. He is 8 months old.

Almost every morning when the client connects to the laptop computer to the Port Replicator port and power and the Windows 7 Desktop on startup it does not create a "LAN" connection (external monitor & USB works well through the Port Replicator).

I have to get the customer to power the laptop off, disconnect the port replicator, disconnect the electric power from the port replicator and then plug everything back in and re - turn on the laptop.

Here's what I've ruled out so far:

Thanks for any help / advice

    Hi etaf,.

I guess the short answer is: Yes, the problem with the software and the 3.0 Port.

The long answer with a possible work around is as follows: first of all, the software looks for minimum requirements. Because the software is older, he doesn't know what a 3.0 port. You are right when you say that it should work since you do not use the USB and use wireless instead, but this is not the case.

There is something we can try, but I can't guarantee it will work. I thought first we could connect a USB cable and run the software made to force the software to see the USB port, but then the software wouldn't even get far enough because you can't plug the cable to the most later in the installation.

My second thought and most promising suggestion is to connect the USB cable (although we do normally not until the software prompts us to) and use the installation wizard HP Print to get the insteaad of software to use the CD or download from the printer driver page. Still, I can't say with certainty that it works, but I don't see why it would not be worth a try.

If it works, and we get the software installed you can convert the USB connection to a wireless connection using the software. Fingers crossed! Download and run the with the following link. Printer HP install wizard for Windows

If this does not work, or you don't want to bother with it (not worth trying), I might consider getting a new model of the printer. You can even call HP. They might be able to offer a discount on a newer model. If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

  • USB Port driver problems

Windows XP Professional will not recognize my key USB flash drive in the USB ports before; However, it does not recognize the flash drive in the back USB ports of the Tower pc which is very annoying. How can I get the drive J it is called on the front USB port of the tower to recognize my flash drive? I want so that it can detect the flash drive as soon as I insert it into the front USB port. In addition, the front USB does not detect my Ipod USB port or USB digital camera.

Sometimes the front USB ports are not yet connected, so it's good to open the suitcase and check. Sometimes these ports on the motherboard just died, especially if the computer is old.

Have the ports before does not work, is a very common problem that can have various reasons:

    http://www.Google.com/#hl=en&source=HP&q=front+USB+ports+not+working&AQ=0&AQI=G10&OQ=front+USB+por&FP=be5ffa94030d2d34

Unfortunately, it will be difficult for someone who is not practical with the computer to help effectively. It's strictly a hardware problem and nothing to do with Windows.

A good solution is to buy a USB hub (I prefer those motorized), attach it to a rear USB port, but do it right from the start where it provides additional ports are easily accessible. • WRT310N - Port forwarding problems.

    Problem is that it doesn't.

I have a series of 600 Zyzel DSL Modem/Router in passthrough mode.  Everything works well.   PC on the network have no problem out etc... but I have several webcams wireless I can't access from the internet.  LAN has no problem.  I've set up port forwarding and nothing.   I can't access anything whatsoever for that set up the transfer.  I've updated the firmware, I toggle etc etc and nothing seems to work.   I'll guess it's maybe something with the pull-out decision, but that's just a guess... gut feeling.  I had an older router on the network before but got this new, but he wasn't in passthrough mode, I just used it as an access point for the wireless.    I guess that I couldn't take off passthrough and test, but not at home so I can't do it right now.

Anyone aware of issues like this?   Does not much feel... all eyes right configuration.

And he who responds, you can talk shop, I'm a blade L3 technician and an engineer of SAN...  That is, I know my way around computers and networks.

Figured it out... ID10T...   Problem was, indeed, the devices themselves.   Because of the way I had the network installation before that all wireless devices had the wrong IP to the new access point.  Once I fixed that the transmission was successful.

In addition, I kept the DDWRT firmware, it's so much better than the version of Linksys, it's not even funny.  (Wonder if they delete this because of me saying that...) I had problems of resistance low signal 30 feet away from the other side of the House... questions to xbox 360 streaming.  Once I have updated the DDWRT firmware the intensity of the signal went to full and streaming on the 360 problems disappeared.

  • Port Forwarding problem through 2 routers RVS4000 2 subnets

I modified a building network to be compliant (Visa) PABP where two router and two subnets are required.

My original CD building network configuration was designed to allow remote access to a server terminal server via the port forwarding on a RVS4000 router. So cables / modems-> xx.xx.xx.xx wan ROUTER lan 192.168.1.1--> subnet 192.168.1.0 with TCP 3389 Port forwarding for 192.168.1.11 (terminal server).

The new configuration of the network is composed of two routers RVS4000 on two subnets. So the Modem cable-> wan xx.xx.xx.xx ROUTER1 lan 192.168.2.2-> Subnet 192.168.2.0-> DMZ 192.168.2.14 and the second router wan ROUTER2 lan--> subnet 192.168.1.0 192.168.1.1 192.168.2.1.

ROUTER1 is configured in Bridge mode and ROUTER2 is configured in router mode. Port forwarding on ROUTER1 to port TCP 3389 is 192.168.2.1 (on ROUTER2 wan port). Port forwarding on Router 2 for the TCP 3389 must 192.168.1.11 port (server address terminal server).

With this new configuration of network I am able to connect to the Terminal Server remotely. No problem with access to the Internet and the 192.168.2.0 subnet from inside the 192.168.1.0 subnet.

So I think my problem is through two RVS4000 routers port forwarding. Any help on this problem will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    1. can you access the terminal server server from inside the subnet 192.168.2.0/24 using the IP WAN to Router 2, which is access 192.168.2.1:3389 from inside 192.168.2.0/24.

    2. turn on Router 2 router in Bridge mode. Try again. My guess is that this will make the work of transfer. I think that port forwarding is linked to the NAT/gateway mode. No NAT no transfer. Is not logical to use the transfer when you are able to access the IP directly without NAT. Of course, the web interface does not allow you to forward a port located outside the LAN subnet...

    3. are you sure that you can access internet through Router 2 in router mode on the LAN subnet router 2? Usually in the NAT their own LAN subnet routers only bridge mode but not others. If the RVS4000 not NAT a different subnet that would be good to know.

My cable is OK and Fn + F8 works, but does not send the TV signal via the VGA port.

I've updated the latest drivers from dell web site, but did not work and I do not know is good software that works for external TV in windows 7 Ultra 32 bits.

I would ask that any body in the community can help me solve this problem?

    Thank you
