WSUS is lack of update KB950760

My WSUS server has no KB950760 in its database. Is there a reason for this? It shows as a security bulletin, and I certainly updates security checked in the Classifications.

You will find appropriate in this specific WSUS forum support: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverwsus/threads

PS: I think you'll find this KB950760 (10 June-08) has been replaced by several other, more recent cumulative security updates for the ActiveX Kill Bits.

  • 2012r2 servers not report to WSUS after installing these updates

    After the installation of the following list of updates, all three of our 2012r2 (two physical, a virtual) servers have ceased under the WSUS running on a machine 2008r2. Before going through the process of uninstalling each of these updates one at a time, I wanted to see if someone had experienced the same thing. There is no error message about the service update on any of the servers 2012r2. The notification only I see is in the interface WSUS where he said the machines were not reported in since these updates have been installed. The updates have been installed on different days on the machines, but once installed, they stop immediately notification in.  Here is the list of updates:

    The WSUS is version 3.2.

    The latest updates in 2012r2 came down the pipe to the WSUS server. After being approved, the servers 2012r2 all found new updates from the WSUS server, install them, and the WSUS server relates now that they have all checked.

    This seems to have been a temporary problem.

  • Keep due to lack of updates of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, and it is configured to search for and install updates automatically. I recently had to change this setting if the manual I received an update on the last update failure message try.

    The computer attempts to download the following updates: update for windows vista for x 64 (KB970653), updat to .net framework 3.5 systems service pack 1 for Wizard framework .net 1.0 x 64 (KB963707), update for internet compatibility view list explore 8 for windows vista for x 64-based systems (KB973874), update for windows vista for systems x 64 (KB972036) and update for windows vista for systems x 64 (KB973879).

    I called Costco to help (because that's where I bought the computer) and all they can tell me is not install updates. I'm afraid that one or all updates can be important for the computer, and not their update will put my machine at risk.

    Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?

  • Keep due to lack of updates

    I'm at my wits end... Recently, I realized that most of the windows updates have failed several times over the last year. Now to restart my computer to configure the updates, it takes forever to "set up" and then gives an error message that updates has not configured correctly and returns to front.  And then that takes forever to make.  I have Visa Home Premium and have tried to update to SP1, but it gives me an error.  I even tried a suggestion that I found on the web to update windows update utility, but that did not work.  I thought about renistalling or 'fix' Vista but I've updated in 2006 to Vista from a Dell upgrade wizard disc pack and when I put in the disc, it doesn't show up with a repair, just a new installation.  Help!

    Hi LisaRho,

    We would like to know more information on the computer. Please answer the following questions as best as you can, so that we can better help you.
    1. do you have security software installed on the computer?
    2. what error message do you get when trying to install updates?

    To work around the problem, try updating windows basic troubleshooting steps. In order to install the updates successfully (if you have several updates), then try to install the updates one by one, by choosing the custom installation.
    To install the updates successfully, try to reset the windows update components running Microsoft fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

    Once windows update components are reset successfully, visit the windows update site and choose custom installation and install the updates one by one with success.

    NOTE: Select one or two updates to the CIW as much the need to update a system restart for the changes to take effect.

    Hope this information is useful.
    Let me know if it worked.
    All the best!

  • Attn: PA bear - installing Vista clean - am I lack of updates?

    I have now done a clean install of Vista (all by myself - following your instructions). I think it has gone well so far. I've updated upward the wazoo (until that updates is no longer presented after several times to check updates.) However, I have the following question:

    Everything in diagnosing the problem that eventually required me to do a clean install, asked you if I had a few specific updates. For example,.

    (a) KB2719177 [or KB2699988], KB2705219, KB2712808 & KB2731847;

    (b) KB2698365, KB2691442, KB2655992 & KB2719985 or maybe KB2721691;

    (c) KB2685939 and possibly KB2686833.

    (d) KB2658846, KB2659,262, KB2660649, KB2676,562, KB2688338, KB2690533 & KB2695962;

    (e) KB2644615, KB2393802 and especially KB971029.

    Those listed above, I have no

    (a) - KB2719177 [or KB2699988]

    (b) - KB2721691

    (d) -962 KB2695

    Should I get these updates? If so, how?

    .

    I'm sorry to bother you this way, but Bill Smithers suggested that I post this question in this way. Or at least that's my understanding.

    Thank you in advance,

    YT2252

    Those listed above, I have no KB2719177... KB2721691 or KB2695962. Do I have to get these updates?

    Probably not.

    1. assuming that IE9 is installed again, open / click on IE9 help | [ALT + H + A] & tell me if the second line of text displays Updated Version: 9.0.9 (KB2722913)?  [YES/NO]

    2. what KB2736233 listed in view installed updates and/or as a successfully installed the update history update? [YES/NO]

    PS: too long KB2719985 is installed, you can forget about KB2721691.
