WYSE V10L with VMView 4

Have a problem with wyse v10L (WTS 6.4.0) and connection to our server vmview4.

I get connection vmview box coming, with guests for the user name and password, but no matter what values, I put in that I get a 'network IO error.

I can ping our server to display.

All connections must use RDP and PCoIP

It's one I use here with a few V10L, we do not however Certs:

AutoLoad = 2

DesktopColorDepth = 32

DomainList = with your site-specific information). Also check the the event log for errors Wyse?

Hi, just got the WTS 6.3 Wyse today and upgraded a V10L. Then entered the IP of our server VMware View, that meets our OK thin client device and presents us with a nice box of connection of VMware. I then enter my login details and I get the error "No. SUPPORT TUNNEL '...

I can plug directly into the virtual machine in question using RDP in Wyse client, so assume its something to do with the SSL through the broker. Disabled the requirement for SSL and changed my broker on the device of Wyse http://x.x.x.x, (instead of https)-same error.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere, or have any idea what is the problem?

    Hello

Open the view administrator, select your display server, click on edit and activate (direct connection on the desktop)

This is because the customer of Wyse ThinOS with does not have components of tunneling.

You will need the option direct conect. The thin client connects to the Server View, authenticated, get its information session and after which connects via RDP directly on the desktop.

    Thank you

  • Full screen with Wyse V10L (WTS)

I saw a few discussions on this before, but none of them have more than a workaround... and not a very viable at this.

When you use a Wyse V10L (running a WTS operating system), users who log on are presented with a "windowed" mode... the bar of WTS on the background (think windows start bar) is present when running a guest operating system.

This poses a problem, because users often end up clicking this button instead of the windows XP Start button.

The workaround is to log on to the workstation using VMware View Client and set the full screen mode, first.  Therefore, all additional connections, either by the client of broker/thin or view, by default in fullscreen.  Change the option in the settings of thin client is not possible... it is grayed and on any computer virtual does not use the Client to view the value "windowed mode".

There must be a configuration file or a setting or something I can change programmatically... somewhere it's just a matter of finding that the configuration.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could start looking for such a config file?  It would be perhaps in the VMX somewhere, or is it stored somewhere on the server?

You need to login to http://commerce.wyse.com/ - your Wyse account representative should be able to get an account for you, if you have warranty or maintenance Wyse thin clients

  • VMware View 3.1 & WYSE V10L - display refresh problem

    Hello world

We are just in the middle of a VMware View 3; 1 deployment using new WYSE V10L thin client. We seem to have a bit of a problem with the screen refresh rate. Let me explain better (and just to the preface, the dorsal VMware environment runs VI 3.5 on 5 nine HP blades and a NetApp SAN.) The entire network is running Gigabit as well)...

I don't know if it's just a limitation of the RDP Protocol, but a few of us working on the project need some checks. Basically, a session running on one of these WYSE Terminals it looks like the screen is choppy and the refresh rate of the screen is mediocre. Just regular browsing (scrolling up and down on a Web page) seems to be quite rough as well. Just to give you a comparison, if he were an ordinary PC, I would say that it didn't install the correct display driver. Even simply minimize windows seem to be trolling and the display seems wrong to draw images of the session. You would think that we ran in a remote office WAN, hundreds of miles away. But they were just on a local network (with no sign of any claim/network latency that we see).

I hope I explained it well enough for you guys to understand. We expected just the performance to be a bit better from a point of view to display. But maybe we ask too through a regular session of the RDP. I'm hoping that someone has faced a similar problem and then I help (or tell us that this is the best we can expect). Of course, it is difficult to really see what I want to say without seeing the problem with your own eyes. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you, guys.

  • A Wyse V10L frmw 6.4.0_24 can connect to a desktop view 5.1?

We have a number of old Wyse ThinCLients (V10L firmware 6.4.0_24) that are out of support, so a firmware update is not an option.

This V10L can be used to connect to a desktop view 5.1?

It did not work I'm afraid. I got the VMware brand connection but when I get a name of user and password known work the terminal will just beep and it goes no further.

  • Short list of software/hardware to get started with VMView 4.5?

    Hello

I had to get a summary of what we raise VMWare View 4.5 and running in our society. I searched and have been reading, but it is not a "short list" anywhere that boils down to my needs. I need to create a list of "chips" for my manager.

Essentially for the level of the company, 20 users, I will need:

1 server capable of running ESX 4.x (ESXi)?

2 VU4-EN-STR-C VMware View 4 Enterprise Bundle Starter Kit:

    vSphere 4 for desktop PC

    View Manager 4

    vCenter Server Foundation

    10 users

3 VU4-EN-10-C VMware View 4 Enterprise Bundle: package of 10

    Adds 10 users

This list you think it correct?

    Thank you

    /MM

Yep, sounds all just for me.

  • See 5.1.2 problem with smart cards - reader to not see Office.

    Hi all

We try to roll an office linked Clone pool that is used by our service accounts and as such, they need to be able to use for banking smart cards. We have installed all the necessary software on the machine of model (GemSafe Gemalto) and also one of our Thin Clients (Wyse V10L or C10LE) connected to the model directly via RDP with the card reader chip attached to ensure that different drivers installed correctly and all is well, the virtual machine is able to see the smart card reader.

The problem comes when spread us these machines up to the pool, the smart card reader is not detected at all. We tried to connect from the Client light view or via RDP directly to one of the linked Clone desktops and both meet the same problem, that is, the drive is not seen at all. If we plug/unplug the drive of the Wyse terminal we see it be detected in the log of the events on the Client itself.

Can what tools or newspapers we use side view or VMware to solve this problem?

To confirm, in the settings to connect to the server by smart card authentication is set to optional. In Global political USB access is set to allowed.

If need more information please ask and I will be happy to provide it.

    Thanks in advance.

Right, we got to the bottom of it... and I am kicking myself!

There is a GPO side configuration of the active computer. Administrative Templates/Windows components/Remote Desktop Services / Remote Desktop Session Host / Device and resource Redirection - do not allow redirection of card device chip.

  • Kiosk Mode with User Login

I'm running Wyse V10L under RDP for a response service.  Each light Wyse client connects to a virtual machine specific, based on Mac. the customer once connected to the Windows virtual machine, the operator is prompted for their username and password.  This combination allows each user to have their own personalized desktop, while each virtual machine software is configured to connect to the right line for the wired headset located at the counter.

I have performance issues with RDP, especially the loss of sound so that operators do not hear the ringing of incoming calls.  I thought that I would try PCoIP and the first tests look good, and the general 'feel' the improvement of the machine is amazing.

But I am running into a problem.  I need every individual to connect to a specific virtual machine Wyse P20.  If the operator seated at the "station 1" Gets the appropriate virtual machine.  I thought that the Kiosk mode would solve that, as it may be based on the Wyse client MAC, but he also writes Windows using this cm-* user.

How can I ensure that a specific client always gets the mapping to the same virtual machine, while allowing users to connect to Windows.  Worse, is that a user can sit at any station, so even by assigning a subset of users for each machine is not going to work.

    Thanks for any help.

Disable the SSO should give you your desired result. Your portion of the booth you will get by the broker and the allocated VM. With disabled SSO it breaks down at the Windows logon. Then, the user must enter their user name and password for the domain.

  • Discover the 4.0.1 - WYSE P20 PCoIP

Since the upgrade of our display server and agents to 4.0.1 all our XP VM are works well, but my machine Win7 1 does not connect with PCoIP or RDP using a WYSE P20 (FW rel. 3 v250 nothing more recent on the WYSE website).  I can connect to the machine virtual win7 using a WYSE V10L (RDP), but even when I manually configures the P20 that does not use the server to view, it will not be the same RDP connection.

Another thing I have noticed since I use 4.0 and PCoIP, is that sometimes the pcoip_server_win32.exe will take all available CPUS slowing it to a crawl.  The only way I fixed that is to restart the virtual machine.  This happens on XP and Win7 VM I have running on P20 with PCoIP.

So, at this point I can not use my VM Win7 with my P20.  Everyone is faced with a problem like that?

    Thank you

    Hey Joe,

Yes, we expereienced the same question as well on our P20 - Windows 7 is just something that we test here so it's not an impact on our production nodes.

    We solved this by;

1 uninstall the Agent from the view

    2 reset

3 install the Agent from the view

    4 reboot

    5. connecting via vCenter console

    6 reboot

    7. connect to the P20 - should hang

    See you soon!

  • Wyse R50LE and sntp

    Hello

I would like to create a crontab to synchronize every hour our Wyse R50LE with a server using sntp.

Is there a problem with that?

    Thank you very much

    Best regards.

    Michel

Thanks for the post "How to add a cron" Sabrosa-2015, my problem is solved.

The final solution was for me, under root:

1 modify the /etc/init.d/jexec file by adding the line "#Required - Stop: $local_fs ' after the line beginning with"#Required_Start ".

    2. Add the S12bootclock link--> etc/init.d/boot.clock.

3 - activate the service of cron by typing ' chkconfig cron on. "

4 - disabling the ntp service by typing «chkconfig ntp» off

5 - create a script called sntp_synchro in the directory/etc/cron_daily, containing the following line:

    / usr/bin/SNTP v Pei no servername - r >/var/log/sntp 2 > & 1

    6 - restart the Terminal.

Please note that you may need to manually change the /etc/sysconfig.clock to set your time zone.

    Model #: Dx0D
    Part number: 909648 - 02L
Product ID: D10DP 2GF/2 gr INTL

It is there no Dell service tag, so it seems to be a legacy Wyse. I can't find it under https://appservices.wyse.com/pages/serviceandsupport/support/downloads.asp or the other.

I think that it runs OS of Wyse.

Where can I download the latest version of the software and it is possible to install any other operating systems (Linux or WES7)?

    Thank you.

What you have is a D10DP from Wyse Dell, which is a unit of Wyse ThinOS with PCoIP support. To download the latest OS, requires that you have software maintenance for each workstation. This will allow you to access the self-service portal to get the software. To subscribe to Software Maintenance, please contact you supplier customer light.

  • Imprivata with a view?

We are in the early stages of a POC using Imprivata on Terminal Wyse ThinOS, with Horizon see 6.2. Reading the documentation of Imprivata, they mention Citrix much more that they display, the so I'm curious to know if many people use this configuration.

We seek to operate terminals in mode kiosk 99% of the time. That is to say a generic account draws a view Windows session, then users on their badge to provide their account information of Imprivata and quickly presented with the generic account Office. User taps again once it crashes, next user walks upwards, and then rinse and repeat, all on the same desktop. So far, we have seen mixed in our first tests results. Gets the generic user office, user 1 taps, gets their session with their creds, faucets and locks. 2nd user travels, taps and get the session but Imprivata still believes his user 1 on the desktop.

I'm leaning towards him being our Wyse terminals config, which I am looking in addition today. Anyone who may be using a similar setup, I'd love to hear about it.

    Thanks in advance.

Here's what we epa80 ended up doing:

On the BONES of this terminal, add the line to the INI to activate Imprivata OneSign:

    Https://FQDN KioskMode = OneSignServer = TapToLock = 0 AutoAccess VMW = yes EnableFUS = yes

For the installation of the Agent of Imprivata on View Image relative to the Kiosk Mode (Type 1)

    1. install the Imprivata Agent, choose the option 'Shared kiosk Workstation.
2 install the Epic connector (if you use Epic and if necessary)
3 addition and configuration of the following registry keys:

Disable Ctrl + Alt + Del:
    \Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\Disablecad HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE [Wow6432Node] = '1' [DWORD]

This forces the display of privacy at a specific time after the tap water

  • Wyse rpaport Option tag to under View Manager environment 3.1.1/3/.1.2 Wyse S10

I have a few questions about the implementation of Wyse S10 with View Manager 3.1.1/3.1.2:

-What is the best way to Manager Wyse S10s on a display environment?

-Are there in a free tool out there to set up the Wyse conf file? I need to do some advanced adjustment - push on paper painted on S10s customers.

    T,

    1. the best way to manage Wyse S10 on a display environment is to use the server to report Wyse. You can download the server to report on the website of Wyse Wyse - free up to 700 guests. Don't forget, when you deploy the report server on your environment, you must use the tag option DHCP (IP report) 186.

    2. Yes, so far, the best tool to configure the Wyse conf files is to use ConfGen, you can download it at the ADDRESS below.

  • Dual screen on Windows 7

    Hello

Currently, we are trying to have our view Windows 7 virtual computers running with double screens on our Wyse V10L thin client. (using cables dedicated)

It works fine, but the VMs system see the desktop as a large, with a huge resolution (depending on which screens connected behind)

  • Upgrade view 4.5 to 4.6

    Hello

I currently have vsphere 4 running esx 4.1 u1.  VMware View is at version 4.5 with the connection to the server running on a Windows 2003 server.  I downloaded all the files needed for the upgrade: agent ConnctionServer 4.6, composer and view.

I deployed a Server 2008 R2 and installed 4.6 ConnectionServer seen as a 'Standard' server - not yet configured.

The next steps that I intend to take are:

data backup of the server (Server 2003) view connection - with the help of vdmexport - turn on this server

Composer on the vCenter server upgrade

import data from connection to the new Server 2008 R2 server - using vdmimport

installation of new officers on basic images (we have related clones) redial

Ensure that the thin clients (Wyse V10L) point to the correct connection server ip

Is this the best way to perform this upgrade/deploy new server connection?

Y does it have to be absent from any gotcha?

    Thanks in advance!

Vdmadmin s s (server name) - r allows you to remove a broker for connections in the replication group.    I always disable from the portal admin to view before I delete it.  Not sure you really must do it, but it's just something I did.
