x220t - conversion to tablet mode go to the portrait

How can I disable the portrait mode?  Since the upgrade to Windows 8, I downloaded and installed new drivers.  One of them got the job so that I can rotate the screen and convert to the tablet of orientation, but I want to go only to the landscape reversed (without having to press the button to change it).

I've already put the 'choose the order in which your screen turns' be set to ONLY modes two landscape.  It works for the button, but any driver Lenovo supports change of screen orientation when the joint is rotated is ignoring these parameters.

Well, this problem is solved.

Throw "Menu contextual Tablet" Windows 8 start screen does not work.  This application has a strange problem I really did not occur in other applications.  When else it gets the focus of Windows, he kills himself.  Thus, the new start in Windows 8 lance screen this application and then restores focus on the desktop in order to make the application visible.  This causes the app to kill himself before a user can never see it!  Dear Lenovo, if you please correct it.  It's silly.  Let just the app stay on the screen until the closing like any other application.

The work around:

Right click on the shortcut for "Tablet Shortcut Menu", and then click 'Open file location' in the menu at the bottom of the screen.  Double-click the shortcut to the folder that is opened in Windows desktop view. You can also run the executable file directly.  For my PC, it is located in the:

"C:\Program Files (x 86) \ThinkPad\Tablet.

Now, to change the setting of the auto-rotation, I was looking for:

Click settings.  Under the subheading of the Automatic Screen Rotation (which should be checked) I had to choose "secondary landscape".  Voila, no more mode switch portrait when the screen is rotated to tablet mode - it goes to the secondary landscape (180 degree rotation).

Simple pressure provides this feature. It's the little red dot on the corner of your screen. It can also be activated using two fingers to double-tap on the screen. According to my experience, the double tap should be smooth and not too fast or it will not reconginized.

It is a problem with Word, rather than the 900 of Yoga, I think. I see the same thing on a Surface of 3 in tablet mode. You have two options to work around this problem:

    (a) turn off "Tablet Mode" to display the icon of the keyboard on the taskbar. Touch which will bring up the keyboard on the screen. Your physical keyboard should always be disabled when the 900 Yoga is bent in the Tablet configuration.

    (b) use the Word Mobile instead of the full word. It has all the features, but at least it will bring up the keyboard on the screen automatically in tablet mode.

  • How can I activate the Tablet mode for kindle fire

I loaded Firefox on my Kindle fire from an FTP site and seems to work.
Firefox site indicates that the Kindle fire uses the default mobile mode and to have a Tablet mode by default see below but nothing is there.

You can type about: config in the address bar and use the filter to find browser.ui.layout.tablet. Select it and use the arrow buttons to change the value to 1.

This is an unsupported configuration and may cause an unusable interface.

  • Portege M200: the screen is blank when you switch to Tablet mode

    Hello.

Have a problem with my Portege M200 and after hours of searching for a solution, I'm still at a complete loss as to how to fix it.

Essentially, when you attempt to switch to Tablet mode - or if I press the button cover closed 'sensor' on the far right, which is essentially the same thing: the screen goes black.

This means that I can not in tablet mode at all.

What happens across multiple operating systems and will happen even before that an operating system has started. Of course, I checked that when in Windows, the option "When I close the lid" is set to do nothing and I even checked for any cable setting in bios but saw nothing relevant.

As far as I know this has only started happening since I sent it for repair with toshiba a month or two back (motherboard has been replaced I think).

No way to control it via software or am I'm going to have to send it for repair again?

You description, it looks more like a hardware problem as a problem of software because this happens before an operating system has started. That's why I would exclude a software problem.

In your case I would recommend you to contact the ASP again and explain the whole situation with your laptop.

    Good luck

  • M200 & Multidock II the external display orientaion is upside in tablet mode

With the Portege M200 and II Mutidock I wanted to log in and use an external monitor, so I could use the M200 to draw/write on Tablet mode everything glancing outside, but little matter I try in screen orientation, one of the screens is backwards is not usable.
It's a feature announced, so I expect there's a way to guide the tablet screen a way while still getting the external monitor to display vertical position?
    Thank you

    Hello

The resolution of this problem is actually very simple. Go to display properties. Then click on the last tab on the right, and then click Advanced. Change the settings for the "second monitor" to "extend my Windows desktop on this monitor. This should fix the problem of the display 2nd upside down. Have a great day.

  • Cover for the keys in Tablet Mode

Is there a blanket I can buy or hack something to hide the keys in tablet mode? Thank you!

    Hey there,

I kind of solved the problem by picking up this sleeve Lenovo Yoga 500 that has stuff and port cutouts, I put the part inside keyboard when you use desktop mode - it leaves not the device fold all the way in tablet mode, but it's great for transport.

Try to find something similar to which is here.

You ask about the physical keyboard of the 700 Yoga help? In other words, you want to connect an external monitor, fold the 700 Yoga in tablet mode, place it on a desk with the keyboard facing up, and then use the keyboard/trackpad in combination with the display on the external monitor...?

If that's what you want to do, I'm afraid that you are out of luck - keyboard/trackpad models Yoga is disabled whenever the Yoga is folded tablet, tent, or presentation mode. They only work when Yoga is used in portable mode. This is normal.

  • How do you get the R7 to rotate 90 degrees in tablet mode screen?

Looks like an update broke Ezel software service, and I can't get the display to rotate 90 degrees in tablet mode. I also can't see the notification screen on rotation as before services. I am slot than Win 8.1 completely up to date, with the orientation 6.3.9600.16384 device driver. I have no idea what the question...

OK, strangest thing ever. Understand the question. The touchpad has become corrupted. I used the touchscreen keyboard Troubleshooter to solve another problem and voila! Rotation of restored Ezel. I think that Chrome is was as tactile keyboard operations from time to time, not sure. But I know that I fixed my problem. No expenditure necessary.

  • Spectrum X 360: New spectrum X 360 does not turn the screen into tablet mode

My spectrum is only two weeks old and works wonderfully as a standard notebook computer.

However, I cannot get screen to turn when I select tablet mode or Flip on the stand of entertainment.

All the research online, I can find are people who used Win 8.1 and is updated to Win 10.

Mine came with Win 10 pre-installed.

None of the screens settings they advise to go to exist.

I also checked the registry and its game properly.

Windows 10 made the anniversary update a few days in me starts to use it so I don't know WHETHER or not the rotation number was there from the beginning.

I solved my problem re. the screen does not turn in tablet mode.

Yesterday, I installed HP Support Assistant in the hope, he suggests a solution.

It didn't at the time, but it made me on this forum where I see that many others had similar problems.

Today, when I turned on my laptop I noticed that support Assistant has a list of available updates.

the first who has updated automatically has been updated for HP Notebook System Bios (Intel processors) which, after installation and reboot I had not really noticed any difference.

Among the list of updates has been 'Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Drivers'

Because I couldn't find any menition of sensors in my device manager, I installed it.

Now I have the "Lock Rotation of this view" option may be greyed out there but at least now it.

Still no spin so I started to double check every thing once again and found that I had a new entry in the registry... Sensor

    present.

However Enable is set to 0 instead of 1

I changed the 0 to 1 and here I rotation.

However the only question now is the Rotation options buttons are greyed out, but I still can auto rotate when I flip to the tent, entatainment or tablet mode.

At least, that my X 360 so that its name and what I bought it for.

Fact my research I love the lack of rotation is not a specific HP problem but a problem of Windows 10.

If other problems persist, try to reduce your search settings to fail to win 10 to rotaate, you will see a lot more information out there.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. I hope that my message will help someone else.

  • How to disable the keyboard 15 Flip in tablet mode?

So I have a problem and can't go back to my computer on, but is there a way to disable the keyboard in tablet mode? I know this may sound stupid, since it covers the keyboard, but one of my keys "alt" is higher than the rest, it seems and gets depressed in tablet mode, which makes it so on-screen keyboard responds to commands of 'alt' and the pen is not working properly.  Thanks for your help!

so I found an answer to my problem in case someone else runs into this.

Basically, there's some flex in the keyboard, so when I put my flip in tablet mode, he was pushing down the alt key causing the keyboard to the screen don't work as causing issues for the stylus in some programs.

I downloaded a program called vivid keys remapped the alt on the left of the button pause (because I've) never ran into a situation that I needed to push and key which fixed my problem. If I need to Ctrl + alt + del, I just press ctrl DELETE pause.

Anyway, if someone does not want to receive their laptop repaired, it's a quick easy fix.
