XHA1s
Mode card, my XHA1S shows images perfectly but in scroll mode, only the color bars appear.
Hi mipana48!
Thanks for the post.
There is a switch between the Gain switch and the White Balance called the output switch. Make sure that it is set to [CAM]. If it is set to [BARS], color bars will appear.

Xha1 24F footage that video play fast but Audio is normal. Body 2.0
Hey Gang, I am having trouble with my my body 2.0 xha1 24f footage. I installed the canon F presets and the film imported using the parameter 24f, but when I play in the timeline my video/audio is out of sync. Even when I export, nothing changes. My video is read to fast, but my audio is normal. I played a little with the fact of separate images and try to find the right video speed, with no luck. I also tried using the images on 30f timelines with no luck either.
I searched for the answer, but nothing of this particular problem has developed.
Any thoughts?
Very much appreciated.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 HDV capture error
Since the last update, I'm not able over of HDV capture with my Canon XHA1 firewire connection.

When it has to capture start I get an error and first CS6 goes on 'freeze '.
In CS5.5 (which I kept installed), I do not have this error! But in CS5.5, he has not seen live available... This may be the cause of this error?
Help me please!
Restored to CS6.0.0 and everything works well again!

My friend has saved our marriage with a Canon XHA1 camcorder. There was a nice Rainbow after the wedding (it was a wedding in the open air), but it was not visible on the recording. If someone has encountered this problem, and if so is there a solution in first, or is it all in the filming of the process? I've attached a video still of the video. Thank you.
the peak of the sample you posted is overexposed. In general, it is better "under-expose" slightly more, than to the overexposure with digital photography. Once that a video is overexposed it is usually not possible to recover areas overexposed. Your sky should be more like the tone you see below, to see your rainbow.
Maybe you can draw a rainbow somewhere and edit it in your wedding... video to compensate for what you don't have.
Good luck!

mix of DSLR with film HDV NTSC, PAL. CS5.5
Hello. I am changing a work of creation/windows and the end result will be to DVD Pal. I have 3 image formats. What would be the best way to change this?
The images I use is:
59 fps 1280 x 720, shot with Canon 7 d
50 fps 1280 x 720, shot with Canon 7 d
25 fps 1440 x 1080 shot with Canon XHa1
So far, I am editng in a sequence with settings:
image size: 1440 1080
25 fps timecode
Just change all in a timeline of HDV1080i25 you already fact, and then export it to dvd such as discussed in the other thread with the exception of the interpolation definition ON.
There is no ntsc and pal in HD, it's only for the DV.

Video twinkle first CS5.5.
Hello. I had this problem for some time. I tried a lot of different things like change the weft dominant order, deinterlace, creating a new sequence directly from the clip, the duration of the speed, imported after effects and using Remapping keys. I'll post more info if I remember later.
Here's a Vimeo link to the clip, that I do not speak...
I use the Canon XHA1 and 50i DVPAL widescreen film.
I use Windows 7 on PC. My graphics card is NVIDIA GEforce 9800GTX/9800 GTX + (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1).
Here's my project settings...
My capture settings...
My preferences to capture...
Info project Panel...
When I right click on the clip for the properties, I get this information...
My sequence settings...
I hope I could give you all the information you need. I hope that someone can even direct me on how I would need to go to find out what goes wrong. The problem is most common when I slowed down. I don't idle by clicking with the right button on the clip and the duration of speed to 30 percent. Actuallu, I can change the clip to a few different percentages and I'm having the same flicker. Particularly in the top of the image. I can see the highlights, the trees in the background, detail on the flicker of the outfits in particular. I know you can expect some, but it's certainly more than usual. I hope that the link to the vimeo video will let you see the problem.
Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you...
Re-read my previous post.
HDV capture, edit export HDV (50i timeline) to mpeg2-dvd (do NOT use match sequence settings, or the view of the files).
Using a parameter of export as DV pal widescreen (or manually) and set use Max-rendering quality (hidden in the menu on the side of the export settings) on.
To use Vimeo YouTube preset or a predefined format H.264 HDTV.
Especially working with interlaced material, for the slomo / images frozen, you generally set deinterlace systematically on the timeline or use flicker removal, works best. Its trial and error. You can experiment with interpolation (right click on the item in the timeline)

Your camera back of 50i (nterlaced) hdv to SD 50i. There are 50 frames in the frame, and there are 25 frames per second. Medeamajic confuses you. What your friend is correct.

Video lag in the preview/editing window - HD images
System Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Xeon W3565 @ 3.2 GHz
12 GB OF RAM
Graphics NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card
1 TB 7200 RPM HDD (OS)
2 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive (where my HD video clips are saved)
2 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive (disk Scratch Files)
Camera: Canon XHA1 (HDV 1080i)
HD video clips were the .mov file formats came because I used to work on a Mac pro (now on the PC listed above), but first would not, so I converted the files to .mp4 with compressor on the old Mac pro. (Maybe that's the problem? I do not know)
Whenever I have try and get a glimpse of one of the video clips in the Editor pane, it will play perfectly for 2-3 seconds, but then it starts lagging and is virtually impossible to set in/out points.
I tried to set my resolution of reading Full, 1/2 and 1/4 and none of them seems to do the trick.
Here are my settings in sequence:
Is there something I missed or whatever it is, that you can suggest?
Thank you
I sent the support team calibrated XD decoder and they fixed my problem. For others with this problem, here is the email they sent me explaining in detail the problem + solution:
Hello
Thanks for the info and sorry for the problem - we'll put a note about it in our support site but:
Basically, calibrated {Q} XD decode for WIndows is a codec QuickTime decoding to video that decodes XDCAM HD / EX or HDV QuickTime-hands video frames but calibrated {Q} XD decode do not analyze the MOV file or read the images on the hard drive.
The problem is the new QuickTime Player 7.7 - for some reason some of the HDV MOV files (not all) that have been created/generated by builders of different hardware/software like FireStorm (or similar) the new QT 7.7 reader generates a bad Atom public error when you try to open/analyze HDV MOV file. Supposedly, we have heard that Apple is aware of the issue and said that it would be addressed in a future release (but not here Apple us)-you can communicate with a FireStore to see if they have more information to update from Apple.
So the only option is to get down to QuickTime Player 7.6.9 (or earlier version of 7.6) and then this should allow QuickTime Player 7.6 (and conversely Premiere Pro) open the HDV MOV files that have been generated by the FS unit and calibrated {Q} XD decode for Windows would decode the video images which would be handed over to her by QuickTime.
Once again - sorry for all the problems and let me know if you have any questions!
See you soon,.

Impossible to export H.264 with audio integer (little endian)
Hello world
Searched all topics and do not find the answer so hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm running Prem Pro CS5 on an i7 PC with 12 GB of Ram, GTX 570 and it works well for Prem Pro
Original movie: Canon 7 d
Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - stereo (Audio of my XHA1)
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - stereoQuestion
I have a project requires a MOV with the following:
Video
H.264 720 x 576 (PAL)
Audio
Format: Integer (little endian)
Sampling frequency: 48 kHz
Sample size: 16 bit
Bitrate: 156 Kbps
Stereo
Video I can do as well, but I don't see a way to change the audio (no options for Big Endian or Little Endian), I tried to export, but I can't find the settings there and were also considered in Media Coder, but cannot find the settings for that and clip of MPEG streams which I find the settings for , but for some reason any freezes everytime I try to export the video.
Any ideas?
You can't adjust the bitrate. You probably don't need to adjust the transmission speed. If the specs you received say "156 kbps", it's a typo. With almost 100% certainty, which should say "1536 kbps." That's what you will get when you export as uncompressed audio with QuickTime.
If you need a lower bitrate, export as shown above and then process the audio again in MPEG Streamclip or QuickTime Pro. But I'm willing to bet that you don't need that.

Correct settings for HDV capture
Hello. I use first CS5.5. I went on a few forums to get the right settings for HDV capture.
I can save the pictures very well. However, I saw a few things that don't seem right.
After capturing HDV footage, the file was a .mpeg file. Second, the clip has been 1 hour and 10 minutes and
It was only 11.3 GB. Does this sound right? A 55-minute .avi file is 11.6 GB. I thought that an HDV clip would be quite a large file.
If this sound right does not, is there somewhere I could go to, to check that my settings are correct? By the way I'm shooting and capture with a Canon XHA1.
The film is 1080i. HDV. I exported and it seems fine. I want to just make sure I captured it properly and in the best quality.
Thanks for your help.
You cannot use parameters for capture, since it is only a digital transfer of data. This is an exact copy of what is on the tape, nothing more, nothing less.

Should what HW I upgrade?
Hello
I have Premiere Pro CS4 and am edition of images from a Canon XHA1 and a Panasonic SD-700, the two HD even though I think the Panasonic's AVCHD and do not know what is the XHA1. My old laptop was not to change the HD images, so I've upgraded to a new PC. It is currently running W7Pro 64 bits, but I don't think that CS4 takes advantage of 64-bit, it? While it is much better on the new mounting configuration, the timeline playback is very jerky. It's passable, but boring. The source files play and are looking much better, but have moments of freezing. Video exported from the timeline (MPEG2) plays well. Here are my PC specs
HP8100
Core i5 [email protected] 3.33 Ghz
4 GB of RAM
Intel HD integrated card
So the question is. What should I put? I have about 300 pounds ($490). There is not much I can do with the processor, the RAM seems a lot, but I would be less expensive to upgrade to something like 8GB. What I've read, video cards don't make much difference until you get up in a lot of money. What about upgrading to a SCSI hard drive system? I currently use the stock 500 GB drive, so it requires the upgrade anyway?
Any help appreciated.
CS4 is optimized for a 64 bit OS, but that is to run ON it, but not to be able to use all the features and power, as it is a 32-bit program, with the limitations of the 32-bit code. CS5 is a 64-bit program, in order to take full advantage of the 64-bit operating system architecture.
With AVCHD material, the processor is the biggest bottleneck. An upgrade to an i7 - 9xx series would improve playback of said and all the H.264 footage.
With an OS 64 bits, if CS4 can not use fully more RAM, the BONES certiainly can, and then it can allocate as much RAM to PrPro. The 4 GB is just enough to run Win7 - 64. More will improve things.
Finally, the input/output becomes very important for smooth playback (even if with AVCHD/H.264, the processor is the biggest bottleneck). In addition, faster HARD drive will help here. For HD material, it may be useful to have a RAID 0 for the media. See wrong on RAID, or do not RAID.
Good luck

The challenge is that YouTube is continually looking for new ways compress and re-encode the videos that are posted on their site. Good for them, because it means he can prove more videos with lower bandwidth. But bad for us because it means that no matter how good the quality of the video that post us on the site, YouTube reencode for shit.

Yet an another XH A1 w / CS3 Question...
I looked through the forum and have not found anything that is exactly the same problem, I'll have to capture HDV 1080i (60i) of my XH A1 in PP CS3...
I am running CS3 on a Dell XPS M1330 with an Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB Ram and Vista OS. Like everyone else, I can't capture HDV footage - get capture to control the camera, even bring up the ofline screen I'm supposed to see while he cpatures, but in the end, it captures without frames. However, I have peut capture HDV 1080i (60i) mode camera, but is not a HDV tape.
Can someone please help?
- Unplug the XHa1 firewire cable
- The value XHA1 VCR/playback
- Press the Menu button
- Select "Signal Configuration.
- Replace the reading HDV standard. The default value is automatic and it does not work well.
Now connect firewire, ensure that the AGENCY is set to HDV mode (mode not DV).
