  In Safe Mode, try to activate the high administrator account http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/.  Then log in using account and use it to solve problems with your normal administrator account login via control panel / user accounts / manage other accounts.  Find the one you want and make the appropriate changes to fix it.  If you can't, then you need to address as a corrupt account by using the following procedure:

  If you have a factory Conditions or a recovery Partition restore disk, then these are alternatives to a clean install if you don't have this disc.  But the procedure varies according to the manufacturer, make and model of PC.  Most of the manufacturers will allow you to buy these records of restoration (for a fee) If you cannot do it with a recovery Partition cannot create diskettes from the recovery Partition or have no other option.  Visit the support site of the computer for information on this topic, available options, and related costs.

  I was using the Internet at home, when I had a pop up telling me there was an anti-virus program download. I pulled out the window pop-up, rebooted the computer and turned on safe mode with network. I thought it was just a problem of virus/malware/spyware. Since I installed several programs to prevent/remove any type of spyware (virus, etc.), I decided to run in safe mode, just in case. I ran the and after he said that my computer was clean, I restarted the computer in normal mode. The internet, however, did more work.   OK, you should now check your firewall settings, to do so right click my network connection on your desktop-> select Properties (or click Start-> Settings Control Panel-> network connection)

  Now right click on your connection to the LAN->-> Advanced->-online advanced, settings, settings-the default settings online-> restore default settings. This will restore the default firewall on your local network connection. Click ok on the screen and restart your pc to see if its working.

  If you find the same problem again and then come to the same path: required connection to the local network-> settings-> Advanced-> settings-online Exceprions-> Tickmark the HTTP, HTTPS and FTP, also tickmark "display notification when firewall blocks a program" that will help you the notification to allow access through the firewall. Click ok on the whole screen, restart your pc.

  I recently bought a new HP Pavilion Elite e9105z CTO Office and migrated from Win XP to Vista Home Premium x 64, with a NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Controller.  Whenever I come off standby or standby mode, I lose my Internet connection and have to restart my system or run Windows Network Diagnostics to repair the network adapter settings.

  I tried several remedies available on Internet; but unfortunately, nothing has resulted in a permanent solution.  I contacted my service provider ISP (Mediacom) wonder if it was / is a problem with the firmware used to my cable modem SBV5220 support (for example, incompatibility with Vista) and they said there is no.  So far, I have:

  2. Power options controlled and reset with USB CDC.

  5. Tab power, unchecked the box that shuts down the adapter then power save comes into play.
