XP SP3 causes BSOD during the passage of the WYSE Thin Client session to session VMware VDM Web Access

Hello

For our VDI environment, we use both clients Wyse thin (Thin OS 6.2.0_16) and VMware VDM Web Access to access Windows XP virtual machines that are available through the VMware VDM connection server. The connection and the agent server is at version 2.1.1 build-663. We run ESX 3.5 and Virtual Center 2.5 times with update 3.

The issue I'm having is once a Windows XP SP2 virtual computer has been upgraded to SP3 will be blue screen when I try to access it for the Wyse terminal after his last accessed from VMware VDM Web Access. Order real to get there would be to access the VM SP3 from the Wyse Terminal, then go VDM Web access, and then again from the Wyse Terminal and it will have a blue screen. Disconnect or disconnect makes a difference. I'm curious to see if anyone else has this problem. I enclose the capture of blue screen and the mini dump file. If you need more information please let me know.

Thanks for your help!

-Pete

Hi Peter,.

The root cause of the problem is change colordepth of 15 bits to 16 bits. Let me explain the cause of the problem.

-Connection of the terminal WYSE in a VM XP - effective colordepth in the RDP session = 15 bits

-Access Web VDM from PC connection (I guess) - effective in the RDP session colordepth = 16 bits.

-The switch back to results WYSE Thin Client = 15 new bits

This actually switch between colordepth 15 bits to 16 bits and viseversa result BSOD.

Thank you to use DesktopColorDepth = 16 RGB565 = Yes command in your wnos.ini and try to place this order through brokers VDM. It should solve the problem.

Thank you

Blanchon

You said that you have installed the Win XP SP1a.

    You must Win XP SP2!

If you wish, you can create a CD Win XP SP2 clean! How? It's very easy. You need the tool freeware nLite (google for it and how to use it).

Using the nLite application you could create a new XP CD and could include SP2 in this CD. You can then use this disk to start!

  • BSOD during the game, BCCode: a

    Hi guys,.

So a few weeks ago my girlfriend spilled a glass of water that flooded my PC. I immediately turned off at the wall, let it dry for a few days and then turned back on. Everything seemed to work very well, surprise!

... Until I tried the game. I don't play much, but I enjoy the flight and especially X-Plane simulators. I played for about 5 minutes, it was fine, then it would cause a BSOD. I tried to reinstall, and then instead of causing BSOD, the game would just crash (still not ideal!).

I then tried to play Kerbal space program, and after awhile, he made the BSOD too. I thought it was my graphics card which was perhaps damaged (it would make sense, because it is where most of the water would be landed in the accident). So I swapped it out today for a brand new MSI NVidia GTX 960 games 2G (replacing my ASUS NVidia GTX 750 Ti).

I now try to X-Plane to replay, and I'm getting BSOD again.

As I said, water damage do not seem to affect any other aspect of the performance of the PC. Everything else seems to work perfectly, as before. All hard drives are always fully accessible, I have noticed no decrease in performance of the processor, all interfaces on the motherboard (USB, Ethernet, etc.) are still functional.

The reason why laptop doesn t start (error bootmgr) while the installation is stopped with a BSOD. If you need to reinstall the laptop again.

It looks like a USB problem because I found this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945436/en-us

If you have connected the external USB devices to the laptop, remove them.
In the worst case, there is something wrong with the USB ports or controller and the motherboard must be exchanged.

  • e9150t bsod during the transition to the AHCI

Recently, I installed Vista on a new SSD and upgraded to Windows 7 using the upgrade HP Win 7 disc. I'm also using the original 500 GB WD hard drive, and when the computer starts, it always shows a RAID configuration screen, even if none of the drives are configured for RAID. When I go into the BIOS to change SATA RAID ACHI and reboot, I get a BSOD every time until I got change back to RAID. Changing RAID IDE also gives me BSOD.

I use Win 7, 64-bit BIOS 5.29. I tried Microsoft difficulty here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976 but that did not help at all.

Anyone know a fix for this... I'm trying to use the AHCI mode because it is recommended for the SSD.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you

    Hello:

    That is a difficult question.

The problem is you must install the SATA ACHI driver, and I don't know how, if you have only a RAID controller.

You may need to add new hardware and select a controller SATA ACHI device in the list, and then add the SATA ACHI driver.

I do not know you to be. I would start by looking at the name of the RAID controller and if it is something like the filenames of the ACHI controllers (found by opening the iaACHI file and looking at the list), you can select one in the list and see what happens.

The only other thing you can do (and that's if you don't care if you need to install a new OS), is to go ahead and change the BIOS to ACHI setting.

Download the CCIS drivers from the link below and they are in the x 64 is a subfolder in the drivers folder.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&changeLang=true&DwnldID=20110

Copy the files in this folder on a USB key, but do not copy the file.

Then start your install disc and press F6 when you are prompted to load your SATA ACHI driver. Then select the right pair of the presented list using the arrows on your keyboard to move up or down the selections.

You must have the SATA ACHI drivers installed in order to change this setting. That's why you got the BSOD.

    Hello

I recently reinstalled Windows XP SP 3 on my laptop. After installation, I started to notice that the screen flashes when I try to move or down in windows Explorer or even browsers. I thought that it could be linked to the frequency of the screen refresh.

I noticed that refresh is set to "default to the setting material" and it gives me no option to change to 60 htz.

can someone help me figure this out?

You probably need to update driver for video (monitor) card. Or simply you need set the appropriate (through software coming with driver) discount rate.

Optional: You can also customize some parameters of performance (uncheck the display contents of windows slides & lala).

At the present time, it seems possible to connect a desktop computer to an end user and not a customer light name or address etc.

Is there anyway that I can link a pool of funds or office to a lightweight client device so that the bureau is only launched from this location?

    Thank you

We are able to do something like that today.  Serve us our Wyse thin client and when the thin clients boot they go to an ftp site to obtain their configuration files.  The configuration file can be modified to configure how clients view client work light linux.  So, to process your request, we would put in class A on a network that has a config file that will automatically connect to a certain pool of virtual desktops.  In all networks, they would receive a configuration file that allows them to get the menu and choose what desktop Pool to connect to.

I don't know what light supplier customer, you have, but I'm assuming that Wyse is not the only one with a certain type of configuration like this.
