Satellite L350 - BSOD during the recovery and missing "BOOTMGR"

Hello
I have a Satellite L350, Vista Home premium SP1, (had it for about 4months)

Yesterday I received an error black screen on my laptop it says to reboot, so I did, then just, my laptop wouldn't stat more, I have no idea why?

So I put in my computer come with recovery disks laptop just reinstall every thing as if I just got it out of the box and I followed the instructions that the Recovery Wizard disk Toshiba says, and as his 'adaptation of the files', I get say Blue error screen "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

And tell to reboot or what ever and just keep it.
(Info tech: STOP: 0x000000D1 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8D246FD7)
(usbccgp.sys - address 8D246FD7 base at 8D23E000, Datestamp 47919053)

Then I reboot my system and a black screen comes up saying "BOOTMGR missing".
So now, I have nothing that works, I retried the disks but same error with blue screen.
I also tried to make the atmosphere safe and decent here, nothing works.
I m needs help!

Thanks for reading, sorry for so much reading to do

The reason why laptop doesn t start (error bootmgr) while the installation is stopped with a BSOD. If you need to reinstall the laptop again.

It looks like a USB problem because I found this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945436/en-us

If you have connected the external USB devices to the laptop, remove them.
In the worst case, there is something wrong with the USB ports or controller and the motherboard must be exchanged.

  • Satellite L350: What is the best choice: disk to reinstall or repair of F8?

    Hello
I have a fairly new Satellite L350 (5 months). I recently discovered a Trojan horse attached to program files for the AVG software. I got rid of the Trojan horse, done a restore to date before loading AVG in the hope that my system would return to normal. He still continues to be slow, Explorer keeps locking up and all kinds of weird things continue to happen! Ouch.
I have the recovery and the Application CD that came with my laptop. Do I use the recovery CD or should I try to fix everything using the F8 option? And if I use the recovery CD which files will I lose, normally? I tried to get a list of the applications that are on this drive, but couldn't find any info?

I spent most of the day save all my files on disk. I'm going to lose some paid downloaded programs I am willing to sacrifice, if I can get my computer love me once again!

    Any advice would be helpful.
    Thank you

    > Do I have to use the recovery CD or should I try to fix everything using the F8 option? And if I use the recovery CD which files will I lose, normally?

I advise to use the recovery disk because the recovery disk would be to format the whole HARD drive and will set the laptop to the factory setting.
If you have some viruses on HARD drive then the format of HARD drive can be the best option in order to eliminate all viruses and Trojans.

  • During the installation and activation of google chrome, I lost my taskbar

    Original title: Google Chrome

during the installation and activation of google chrome, I lost my taskbar. How can I reinstall my taskbar?

    Hi Frank,.

    1. do you receive any error messages?

    2. have you restarted the computer once installed google chrome?

    3. not this problem occurs when you run a specific program or out of order?

This problem can occur for the following reasons:

    • Auto-hide the taskbar has been selected for the taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
    • Your user account settings are corrupt.

Method 1: Make sure that the hide option automatically is not selected for the taskbar

To determine if the hide option automatically is not enabled for the taskbar and Start Menu properties, follow these steps:

    a. press CTRL + ESC.

    b. If the Start menu is displayed, click on the Start menu and then click Properties.

    c. click on the task bar , clear the Auto-hide the taskbar option and then click OK.

If the problem persists, you can proceed to method 2.

    2 method: Recycle Explorer.exe

Try to recycle Explorer.exe by opening the Task Manager (you can use Ctrl + Shift + Esc), selecting explorer.exe in the list and choosing end process.

Now go to the file menu, choose new task and type in Explorer in the Open box. Press on enter and explore should restart itself.

Check whether the taskbar is visible now.

Hope this information helps. Provide more information so that we can help you.

  • Black horizontal lines on the LCD screen at a specific time during the start and stop

Hi, I am currently using a Presario CQ61 Notebook PC.  My problem, as indicated in the title, are black lines on the LCD screen, apparently when the screen is reset or enclose itself turned off during the start and stop only. From the judgment, he produced a split second her stops the hard drive, after that the screen is black. The lines and then quickly disappear. At startup, lines appear after the Windows logo has passed and the screen went from black to start loading the login screen.

The LCD is in perfect condition, all using the PC. No line, no discoloration, etc.. Nothing extraordinary either. The problem does occur only during these two periods, specifically. I am also unable to note the lines when I'm looking directly at the screen. I have to be standing next to the PC, at an angle.

Now, I had this PC for a considerable amount of time, however, I never paid much attention to the screen when starting upwards or stop, so this could definitely be something that the laptop has done since I bought it. I also read on similar problems, and it could be an outdated video driver or BIOS.

I want to just make sure that it is not a major problem. Thank you all!

  • Satellite M60-164 - BSOD during the windows loading screen

On startup, I get the blue screen of death during the windows loading screen.

I don't have a recovery cd, only a cd of OS (windows xp SP1a), which shows the option to repair but prompts then insert the recovery cd, how and where can I get one of these!

No matter what help get a restore for Toshiba Satellite M60-164 Pro cd would be much appreciated!

I think I know why you get a BSOD.
You said that you have installed the Win XP SP1a.

    You must Win XP SP2!

If you wish, you can create a CD Win XP SP2 clean! How? It's very easy. You need the tool freeware nLite (google for it and how to use it).

Using the nLite application you could create a new XP CD and could include SP2 in this CD. You can then use this disk to start!

By the way; The Toshiba recovery disc can be ordered from the ASP

  • Recovery of a Satellite A100 (PSAA9) - deleted the partitions and XP Home no Pro

We have recently had trouble with our laptop and decided to restore the settings from the manufacturer with the recovery CD from Media. My son decided to do when he started the program, he chose the option to delete the partitions the crash

Now, he has completely formatted the HD remove the operating system (Windows XP Pro).
When I bought the laptop, with what he came already installed WXP Pro and comes from the Certification sticker on the bottom of the laptop.
Is there anyway I can receive an installation of Windows XP Pro CD?

Generally, all models of Satellite laptops are delivered with the operating system Windows XP Home edition or Media Center Edition home. Toshiba's Satellite Pro series, and under this name, you can get WXP Pro operating system.

Can you tell us what model you exactly A100-xxx?

If your laptop has been in the showroom by the dealer, it is possible they are using clean installation of OS instead of supplied recovery media.

  • Satellite L300 - fails during the installation of recovery

Today I took delivery of a recovery disk bright, shiny, new, directly at Toshiba. I was under the impreession it would erase all HDD and recreate a factory install with the recovery of HARD drive partition (which is what I want), but it fails every time in the same place with the following error message:

[WARNING] W\:Sources\Boot.wim [unzip the file: (seq. 90)-> file corrupted block at offset D 024 8020]

Any ideas how to solve this problem, or I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a failed CD?

    TA, Fred

    Hello

I also have Satellite L300, but never had a problem with the Toshiba restore disk.

What happens if you install Windows using a disc of Microsoft? It works or you get an error message too? If so, it could be a hardware problem, HDD, RAM, or something else.

Also I've read here in the forum that it sometimes useful to format the whole HARD drive before using the Toshiba recovery disc.
    Check it!

  • Satellite L500-19 - remove the recovery partition and create new

    Hello!

I bought a new Toshiba Satellite L500-19th with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). So far, everything is brilliant work.
I have already created the recovery DVDs.
As a result, could now delete the partition with the recovery program? I want to use the full space of my hard disk and create partitions as I want.
But I don't know how I should do this?
    Could you please help me?

    Oxford

If you are sure that the created recovery DVD is ok at 100%, you can delete all data on the second partition.
Open Windows Explorer on the left side where is the second partition, click with the right button of the mouse and choose the FORMAT option.
Choose the quick format option and click START.

After a minute or two, all data will be gone.

Please note: in the future when you want to use recovery DVD for installing Win7 the whole HARD disk is deleted and you will lose all your data.
Using recovery DVD you can not format the C partition only.

  • BSOD appears on Qosmio G30 during the recovery thread closed before the resolution

I'm sorry, that I replied too soon!

Whenever I try to install a fresh Windows Vista or use the recovery CD provided with my Qosmio G30 it shows me the BSOD...

In all cases so I followed some instructions to install the RAID drivers as well and that seemed to work until to halfway through the installation it restarts (not restart usual as is normal in the installation of the OS) just randomly rebooted and said "start in safe mode / or nomally ', ' year error has occurred, insert your windows installation CD and click on fix my computer" I tried that for a while and he refuses to work all of a blow!

I couldn't t reinstall Win XP on my laptop because I used an old CD Win XP without SP2 preinstalled.
After the installation XP rebooted notebook and the BSOD appeared.

Finally I discovered I need an SP2. I ve understood my new XP CD using nLite software.
You know this program? It s for free and can be downloaded from different websites.

  • BSOD appears on Qosmio G30 during the recovery procedure

    Hello

I have a Qosmio G30 and I want to format it and return to the out-of-the-box state...
Unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I try to boot from the DVD, it says "windows is loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...
Is it possible that I can get another CD or make this work?

Or remove RAID protection or anything that prevents me to install a fresh Windows VistaMD?

    Hello

Of course, it of possible to order a new recovery CD, but I doubt that this problem could be related to a faulty recovery CD. But this is only my personal opinion and everything is possible.

You have a clean Windows operating system?
If so, try to boot from your original Windows CD and try to reinstall the operating system.

The Qosmio G30 laptop supports RAID and you need to include the RAID driver by pressing the F6 key during the Windows Setup process.
I think it would be useful to know if an installation of the OS to another CD is possible.

Second question; have you changed the RAID settings in the BIOS?

  • Expirations of OS heartbeat during the test and effective recovery

Someone knows how to avoid delays of heartbeat OS from occurring in your disaster recovery plan? It is probably communication between VC and tools. If it fails, which is my case, then my time-out values must be set small enough to reduce my time to test and recovery. As it seems that half the time is spent waiting for the timeout process. If the above is supposed to and you work in a bubble test network so why not make the OS heartbeats only a stage of recovery. Once again I just need clarification on what it is doing. Thanks in advance.

I guess the first thing to say is that these waiting times are basically fair warnings and errors not so can be ignored in almost all cases but lets face they look not quite especially red errors stand out

I suspect that you have just updated to ESX/VC U3? If Yes, then I think it was a change made which adjusts the frequency that allows us to check for vmtools heartbeats. This new value now means that SRM reorganization plans miss the first 'check' and have a second chance, then the timeout warning was recorded.

If the errors are really validator, you can if you wish (insert WARNING here to say this is just my suggestion and not a suggestion of VMware) just edit your config.xml file spend ESX (/ etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml) on your recovery site ESX hosts so that the section of vmsvc looks like this:

    < vmsvc >

    < enabled > true < / enabled >

    < heartbeatDelayInSecs > 40 < / heartbeatDelayInSecs >

    < / vmsvc >

The value of 40 is just my choice you can use what you want. I think the default previous value was 20 seconds, but which has been modified by ESX U3 code. A feeling people ESX will publish an article about it. Once the change is made just run following command on the service console (or reboot ESX whichever is easier)

    1. service mgmt-vmware restart

Then run the recovery again, no need to restart VC plan / SRM and this time the plan is complete without hitting VMTools timeout errors/warnings. Note: in your recovery plan you should just be able to have the tools, the time-out values set to their defaults or the old default values of 30 seconds / 300 seconds

  • My Satellite phone stops during the restore recovery disc image

On several occasions the laptop suddenly stops until he's finished completely restore the recovery disc.
I have a suspicion that this may be due to get warm. If so, is there anything that might be too sensitive to heat and therefore tripping? It becomes a little hot but not more than my other laptop which is not traveling. It seems to work longer before stumbling in a cold room.

I have not been able to fully restore the image without problem and had to do the installation with a XP disc. This succeeded, but again, it fires after a short use.
Something should be reset or the laptop should it take repair?

    Hello

According to the description of your problem, the first step should be professionally cleaned. Dust blocks the flow of air and I imagine that shortly after, the critical temperature of portable erached. In this case the unit will stop automatically because of protection of the equipment.

The device, I'm sure everything will be OK again.
