XPS 10 Refresh/Reset installation media needs

I'm trying to rest the camera but it says there are missing files and insert the installation or recovery media. Huh? It comes to RT, that's not all.

BIOS is A03 28/12/2012

How do I factory rest the device?

Nick

Can you guys please check the updates on your systems?   The update should be available from yesterday - unfortunately, my system here does not have the watermark of secure boot, so I can't verify that it is indeed fixed.    Please let me know.

Thank you.

  • Need to create an installation media for Windows 8 (not 8.1)

I recently had need to reinstall Windows 8.1 due to a crash problem. I am now stuck because of the key, I bought and that a Microsoft tech I had a chat session with said use the button install Windows 8 on the following page:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Well, it doesn't work and think that I have no internet connection then further down the same page is a link to create the installation media if you get this message but isn't only for 8.1 8. My key does not work on a clean install of Windows 8.1, which I already have a DVD. When I came across this problem, a comment I found said to use a generic key because the installation will not continue. Well, it worked, but when I tried to activate Windows with my purchased key, he acknowledged, because apparently my installation media was just 8.1 and not Pro that I bought. I asked the tech if I could use the web page above to reinstall Windows again and he said yes, but make sure you use Windows 8.

I saw the link above referenced in many places on this forum for people who want to install 8 don't not 8.1, but it leads to the same place, and when you launch mediacreationtool.exe, there are only options for 8.1.

I've been going round in circles on links to Microsoft, but the creation of the only available media seems to be to 8.1. Where can I download the installation for Windows 8 only media?

It shows how to use a WIndows 8 key to activate a Windows Installer Clean 8.1 in stage 4 information box in the blue link.

  • Need Acrobat 9 installation media

I use a proprietary software that only supports Acrobat until version 9 at this point. I bought version 11, since it is the only version that seems to be available for purchase and I was told that I can go down to 9. I couldn't go because I couldn't get the installation media for version 9. The dealer I bought it through Acrobat 9 was discontinued and I can't get it through Adobe or the other. I tried two different dealers as well and they both list it Acrobat 9 as disconinued.

I would like to know how I'm supposed to downgrade the software if support for the version I need is not available

    Thank you.

Acrobat 9 is about 5 years now, you can ask the software vendor that created your software owner to update their software.

Solve your immediate problem, Adobe sells more Acrobat 9 and, as you've found, most of the dealers either, you may want to consider other options, like eBay or Amazon to get a licensed version of Acrobat.

  • 0xc0000225 error code - request installation media for Windows 8

I recently got an Inspiron 15R SE 7520 with pre-installed Windows 8. It has a huge 1 TB hard drive, I decided to divide it into three easier to manage partitions and proceeded to do so using EaseUS Partition Master. When you restart the system, I got the following error message:

    Recovery

Your PC needs to be repaired

A required device is not connected or is not accessible.

    Error code: 0xc0000225

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you don't have any facility (such as a disc or USB device) support, contact your system administrator or the PC manufacturer

    Press Enter to try again

    Press F8 for startup parameters

Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings

    1. you press on enter. Nothing happens

    2. press F8. Managed to find the option "restore factory settings". Saved and restarted. Nothing happens.

3 press Esc. Ran the system diagnostics and a few hours later, the result is that everything is fine. Restarted and I'm back to the blue screen with the first message.

I googled this problem, and all the proposed solutions begin by booting from the Windows installation CD/DVD and run a command at the command prompt. But:

I don't have any medium of installation of Windows and I can't go to the command prompt.

    I not create recovery discs.

And the recovery on the hard drive partition does not work.

    My request:

I obviously need an installation of Windows 8 media. How can I get? I contacted the store where I got the laptop, but they are not you answer, and the application form, I found online does not work for the United Kingdom.

A final update on this issue:

I got the DVD of the shop where I got my laptop since. But I couldn't boot from the DVD automatically.  in order to boot from the DVD, I followed the instructions here: http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/110162/Add+Boot+Option+using+Insydeh20+setup+utility

After booting from the DVD, I got to the command prompt, and then run the commands like here: http://itsolutionsblog.net/solution-to-your-pc-needs-to-be-repaired/

! BUT! The last command line does not. It must be

    BCDboot c:\Windows /s /f UEFI z:

without the : after the f. And then, there is a confirmation message that the boot files have been created

And then my cell phone was able to start normally.

    Hello

If you download the Installation of Windows Media creation ISO tool or create a flash drive, you will not have to download it again if something goes wrong... This would be my choice...

It will be activated after installation is complete, it will use the same license as your current 8 Win...

You will make the upgrade of Windows while it is running, only not by starting with ISO or any other bootable media...

The creation of media Windows Installation tool will not ask a key download ISO...
