  Well, June 2013 I bought my C855 2HW Satellite with 8 Windows as an operating system.
  The laptop worked smoothly until December 2013, I got Windows updates 8.1.

  Have you followed the instructions step by step from Toshiba for updating the 8.1 to win correctly?

  I did it with my Toshiba laptop and I must say: no problems so far

  In addition, do not forget to install/update drivers Win 8.1 provided by Toshiba

  I just reinstalled Win 7 on my Satellite C855 - 29 M and have installed the downloaded drivers on the Toshiba site, which worked well. I had an unknown device in Device Manager that I discovered was because I needed to install the bluetooth stack.

  I downloaded and installed bfdp-20130924160827, then bltstk 20130924152252, as suggested on these forums, but after restarting the laptop, it will load Windows, then restart, then asks to use repair or start windows normally.

  None of these options worked so I have to use F8 know last good config that worked and when the laptop started to the top there was a message about the bluetooth stack with a missing file. I uninstalled battery bluetooth redownloaded and reinstalled but it's same thing.

  Any ideas guys?

  To be honest I don't know what the problem is here and what exactly did you do.
  I checked the download page on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and the fact is that your laptop is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so all necessary drivers, tools and utilities are ready for download from Toshiba.

  Everything that you have done is good and all you can do is remove preinstalled components BT system, and after restarting the laptop, try to install again.
  I don't know if this is the solution for you, but you can try to reinstall Win7 and install all the following stuff list installation displayed.

  My laptop Toshiba Satellite C855-155 2 years, used to run the display driver AMD Radeon HD 7610 (V8.932.5.3000 January 20, 2012). Suddenly, it no longer works. Login screen looks scrambled. I can only start the laptop with the Standard VGA driver but the screen resolution is 1024 x 768 (not the 1366 x 768 normal) and no screen dimming, automatic off tension or sleep/hibernate functions is not working either.

  What do you recommend? Is it a hardware failure?

  Best test you can do is to back up all your important data and reinstall original recovery image and test your machine with the factory settings. If the problem persists it may be hardware related issue.

  I put t know the name of your Satellite 3000-xxx, but you should check the page of the Toshiba driver if you can find a gain of power for this unit.
  Perhaps that the energy saver is not available for WinXP on this device, but you should check the driver page.

  On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find compatible drivers and BIOS.
  Then first try to update BIOS and then check if it helps.

  I have Toshiba Satellite C855-12N with new installed Ubuntu 12.04. My problem stops the system when the power adapter is connected. System stops, but after 3 seconds starts automatically again.   Bought a brand new Satellite C855 7 months, now get a RTC battery low warning, every time I start, have to reset the date and time. The laptop battery says fully charged, but if I unplug the portable charger will turn off.

  Where this is not possible, try this:
  Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery.
  Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
  Then connect the two parts (batteries and AC adapter) for the laptop and try to turn on the unit.

  In case this would not solve the problem of the laptop, I'm scared of m the BIOS update was not completed successfully and I think that only authorized Toshiba service provider would be able to help you.

  I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. They can remove your password.
