XPS 15 freezes Facebook scrolling

Hello

I received my XPS 15 (9550) yesterday and have a lot of freeze. the laptop just hangs and I can't press any keys or do something... the only option is to press and hold the power button and restart.

I can reproduce the error when I scroll a little fast through facebook, it seems to be related to the graphics driver.

someone has the same problem or knows how to fix? I've tried a full system reset, but it did not work.

THX

Dell has today changed my motherboard and now it seems fixed. Certainly a hardware error!

  • Dell XPS 13 (9343) touchpad scrolling speed.

    Hello

So I just took my brand new Dell laptop XPS 13 (9343) today and everything works perfectly. The only problem I have with it at the moment is the speed of the touchpad, because I believe that it is too slow for my taste. I can't find the touchpad settings in the Control Panel, I can't find any drivers concerned for the model I have.

Is it possible to increase the scrolling speed?

    Holy *...

In fact, I have an answer for this question...

    Normally I do not have...

Just stumbled on this one on another site...

The setting of the speed of the trackpad is actually used for the speed of the mouse.  For example, to increase the number of lines to scroll to the mouse and it affects the speed of scrolling for the trackpad...

    Voila!

    It works...

  • Forms freezes when scroll datablock

    Hello

I don't know if the problem below should be posted here. If this isn't the case, please redirect me to the correct forum.

When a user scrolls a datablock (with more than 100 lines), the page hangs and will not respond to any other mouse event. The cursor indicates the symbol "busy". The only thing we can do is to close the browser and the applet. This phenomenon can be reproduced. It's arbitrary.
We have oracle application server 10.1.2 with SSL. Revenge of the forms have the following parameters: QUERY_ALL_RECORDS = no, the number of records in buffered memory = 0. The forms are developed under oracle forms 6i and compiled using oracle forms 10g client R2 builder.
We sought this known issue and got some results on the benches of the forms 10g application (9.0.4). Are there similar patches for Oracle forms 10g R2?
If not, how to fix this freezing?

    Thanks in advance

    Rgds

There was a known problem that caused the scroll to the last record to reach crash blocking and/or form. This problem has been fixed. However, there is no way to really know if it's the same thing as what you are experiencing. Just because the symptoms of what you describe may be similar to what I described does not necessarily mean that the root cause of what is / was the same.

I recommend that you use the last of all software. Here are the details of the patches. They must be applied in this order.

1 patch 10.1. 2.3 (until March 2008) same patch for the iAS and ID

    ..... Patch ID 5983622

    2. Forms recommend Patch

    ..... Patch ID 9282569

    3. If you are using Jinitiator, the latest version is 1.3.1.30

    ..... Patch ID 7410076

If you are using Sun JRE, the last is 1.6.0_20 and can be downloaded here:

  • XPS L502x freeze completely during the game.

It seems not serious if it is GTA: San andreas, or Age of Conan after an hour or so my computer completely freezes over, video, audio, everything.

I find if I have a cursor control when I move the mouse it will jump, but that's all. Windows button does nothing, alt + tab does nothing, not even ctrl + alt + del help. The only thing that remedy the situation is holding down the power button until it stops, and of course, I know how it is for computers. I just him relandscaped yesterday because I thought that the problem could be overheating but it freezes again. Any help?

  • XPS 8900 / 6th Gen Intel Skylake freezing (updated WITH a RESOLUTION... EVERYTHING IN THE BIOS)

    * RESOLUTION *.

-Go into your BIOS (after restart or turn on/off computer keep tapping F2 when Dell logo is present)

    -Scroll to the Performance

    -DISABLE State of C

    -Apply, save, exit

-Disable sleep in your control panel power options

Enjoy your 8900 now functional XPS to freeze several times a day.

    ------------------------------------------------

Here's what it was originally until I find a solution

So I recently got xps 8900, immediately to install an SSD and upgraded the ram to 8 GB to 16 GB.

I also used the old keyboard solar logitech and the old computer logitech wireless mouse (they use a usb receiver bit) and was only using these devices of today and it's frozen twice. Could not connect a usb mouse or keyboard and the computer is responding.

For the first two days while doing the first ssd install and windows 10 updates this computer remained on two consecutive days, using the included wired keyboard/mouse. No problems with the computer freezing or boot the system.

But when I gave this computer as a Christmas gift and then installed the old logitech wireless keyboard and mouse from the computer froze twice within 8 hours.

So I don't know if it's a problem of USB or the wifi card is at the origin of the problems because I've seen a few threads mention to remove this card or disable a driver wifi like they got BSOD or other problems.

Computer looks great and seems to work perfectly, until these last two issues freezing. I intend to buy a new mouse logitech, but that worked perfectly for 6 years on an old XPS computer so I know who did not break at all.

    Update:

I just wanted to add that I checked a few minutes ago and it was frozen again. No control of the mouse or usb keyboard. I tried Windows key and numlock, capslock, no light on those.

I have "sleep mode" disabled, while the monitor is disable. After this 3rd time freezing I advanced and disabled the driver wifi and am now under ethernet. At the rate it's freezing, it must be frozen again in the morning. Have a problem with that at all for two consecutive days...

    Update 2:

-Ran Diagnostic Dell, checked everything well

-Disabled some settings on the sleep under power options advanced settings

Yet once, click page 1 and READ THE ALL FIRST POST

    Thank you

It is easier to click on the first post and read the resolution, to read through multiple pages scattered to try to find the solution. That is why it is the first thing you read on page one, regardless of the date. All the info after are just the process leading to the conclusion.

  • Why Firefox 34.0 freezes?

After Firefox updated to 34.0, it suddenly started freezing at inopportune moments. Not always at the same point on the same web site. I tried Google Chrome on the same sites Firefox would freeze and Chrome worked flawlessly like Internet Explorer 11. I also noticed that it would scroll only partially and then freeze, then scroll down a little more, then freeze, so bad that I couldn't see the page at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2875544/How-escape-Alcatraz-Researchers-reveal-1962-escapees-presumed-dead-freedom.html. I tried this page on Chrome and it worked perfectly. I don't have this problem before the last update. Also note that Firefox 34.0 can work very well for a day or two then start freezing again. I tried safe mode and couldn't do the problem of gel in duplicate. But as I said, sometimes it works fine then others not. I'll try to remember to run recorder step next time it begins to freeze. I also installed Troubleshooter as shown below. I just tried the link to the page above, and he recorded with recorder step. He has frozen loading but then started working again. Previously, it would show a message not Repsonding in the top bar of Firefox. He didn't this time.

  • split in the report in the table pane

    Hello
I read on the forum of ways to freeze the header row of a table in APEX report, so that the header line freezes and scroll data. Is it possible to freeze the header and first two lines of the report data table, similar to a split in Excel pane, but using APEX?

    Hello

IE and FireFox (and probably others as well) run things in their own way. They are supposed to follow the standards, but that seems never to arrive :(

IE, from what I can see, has refused to update the collections of 'lines' in the top row not seen in the upper table, but any reference to line 0 fails because it no longer exists. FireFox treated as I expect--in other words, once deleted, all other lines climbed in the collection of lines to the next row would become the 0 line. In the end, I braked just on the destruction until after the loop and both browsers have been happy with that.

  • My 2013 series MacBook Air hot and slow or freezes when I'm on Facebook or Tumblr. In addition, the battery begins to drain. Why?

Whenever I'm on Facebook or Tumblr, my MacBook freezes and runs hot and slow, eventually freezing. He also began to overheat, with maximum speed cooling fan and battery drainage. This only happens when I'm on these two sites since it rolls when they are not open. There is no problem in loading the computer or using other programs and Web sites.

These issues have started only very recently, in the last week or so. What is strange is that for a number of programs or open tabs does not seem to cause problems, but once I open Facebook or Tumblr, the computer becomes overloaded (even if there are no other programs running outside of Safari and they are only two tabs open). Even YouTube does not cause the same effect.

    Help is very appreciated!

MacBook Air (13 inch, mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

    Hey there!

What browser do you use? I had some problems of my own with Tumblr, Google Chrome, and power draining eventually led me to dump Chrome when I realized it was hogging all my resources. I recommend also to configure tumblr to show you your dashboard in the pages of 10 to 15 positions rather than scroll without end - in this way, he does try to keep everything loaded at the same time.

You can also see your Mac activity monitor while you use these sites to get a better idea of how the power of the computer's processor and RAM are handling activity.
