• HP travel companion: travel companion iPaq ideal

  Please forgive me in advance if this is not shown in the location.

  Reason for post:

  I bought a HP travel companion second hand of Goodwill industries. I knew I was taking a chance because I didn't even know if it worked when I bought it and I had to load when I got home.

  When I loaded and it works I have seen that it was locked, requiring a four-digit code to open it. There was the name of the former owner and his phone number. I called the number, but it has been disconnected.

  There was also a 'my information' screen that only flashed for a fraction of a second of all the minutes. I took a video with my phone until this flashed, then played a frame by frame, freeze on this image to see the info. On this screen is the name of owners back once again, with a HP owned e-mail address. I typed a detailed message explaining my dilemma, asking what is the code, but once I sent, the email bounced back with a NOTICE of DEFAULT of MAILER-DAEMON.

  I am, apparently, at the end of the road with no left options with regard to the definition of this camera for my wife to be. I was hoping to do this as a gift.

  Is there a way to open this companion and I hope that re-record, would someone give this nugget of wisdom for me please!

• Error reading drive A: and Toshiba companion disk for 115CS

  Hi all

  I recently bought a second hand 115CS Satellite, and it has windows 95 installed. I soon discovered that my computer cannot read drive a: correctly.

  Whenever I try to copy/paste/etc, and on a diskette, the computer begins to read the disc, but before the end of the process I get an error message saying that the drive could not be read.

  I tried to solve this problem by downloading and installing the updates of different file from Microsoft and the Internet from Toshiba sites, but nothing helped. The custom Scandisk nor any system utility which would help me. I even tried to use the new disks but I always get bad sectors a reason any.

  I understand that the inability of the Satellite to read drive a: is a known issue with windows 95, and it has been discussed before. Is there a way to handle the situation outside of what I've tried so far?

  Unfortunately, because I don't have the original disks that come with the laptop, I am unable to do the diagnostic test of Toshiba on my computer to trace problems. I'd highly appreciate if you tell me where a companion of Toshiba Satellite 110CS disk is available for download online.

  I really need advice in the case that we care and will be very grateful for your help in regards to the reader of error messages and the accompanying disk.

  It is a very old unit, and I can't tell you anything about the features but you must also known that there may be a mechanical problem and this player may also be defective. Who knows!

  Please see the Toshiba download page choose us under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp? Download? option, select model laptop, and you can see if something useful is in the list.

• Tecra S10 - unrecognized Usb device

  Whenever I plug the mouse usb Tecra S10 - 11A I get the message "unrecognized (or due to a malfunction) Usb device". Then, after several times of rehearsals to plug / plug everything is OK. But after each reboot, I must repeat plug/plug in mouse for several times.

  Now, I'm on Vista, but it is even on Windows 7 or XP.

  Is it possible to solve the problem?

  Have you installed a 3rd party software/driver for the external mouse? If Yes, you should remove it.

  This happens with other USB devices like printer too?

  Maybe a BIOS update could be useful, you can download it on the Toshiba site.

• What is the problem with Mac Companion?

  I use a Mac Pro mid-2012. run OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks; and I have an external 'Mac Companion'.  Having an 'alias' of my Mac on my Dock mate; the alias used to look like what is included in pic 1:

  But since I've updated the "Security Update 2016-001", 26 January 2016, whenever I go to click on my Mac Companion alias, I get what is shown on photo 2:

  And when I click on it I get the window, not Mac Companion.  I tried the following hotfixes:

  1. I have stop the computer then reconnected my Mac companion; but when I restarted the above shown icon still appears on photo 2.

  What should I do to get my Mac companion in working condition?

  First of all, make sure you have current backups.   What follows should not affect your configuration or records or data, but changes can sometimes have unexpected or unforeseen - results more than a few people posting questions in the forums do not have backups, unfortunately.

  As for your question...  Remove this link from the alias and re-create itand see if that solves your access.

• Lenovo companion questions Win10

  I've got a S30 of work I upgraded successfully to Win7 64-bit Win10 64 bit. Everything works fine, EXCEPT the companion of Lenovo. Yet, I also have a Yoga S1 which raised Win8 to 10, and it works perfectly fine.

  I installed the following:

  LenovoID 1.2.1.0

  Lenovo 3.0.29.0 settings

  Lenovo 3.0.20.0 companion

  Foundation of system Lenovo 1.0.044.00 Interface

  Question n ° 1

  My main problem is that the system update screen always responds with "there is a problem during the extraction of new updates. "Please try again later".

  

  I tried companion running from a clean boot, always with the same question.

  I also disabled all firewall and antivirus to test.

• Companion 3.0 Lenovo and Lenovo System Interface Driver/Foundation

  I downloaded the 3.0 companion of the App Store from Microsoft, and install, it asks me to install the "Lenovo System Interface Driver" (Foundation) before.

  I can't find any information on what the pilot is and why it is necessary.

• Lenovo Companion 3 cannot detect the batteries of my Yoga 3 Pro

  I have 10 Windows and that you have installed the latest version of Lenovo Companion3 of the Windows store. The rest of the application checks very well except two things:

  1. It identifies my laptop as an Ideapad rather than as a Yoga
  2. The battery cannot be identified

  Bug in the app? or is my model not supported of moel laptop?

  Update: the application of parameters of Lenovo has the same problem, but specifies that "no battery is installed. The laptop is running on battery, which is not normal.

  Problem has been resolved by update Lenovo companion software that was delivered by the window / Windows store.

  I was out and play with a Thinkpad in a retail store and was pleasantly surprised to see that the battery meter toolbar was back!

  So, I searched and unearthed to discover this:

  In the picture, she says that with the installation of the new application of companion there is an option to install the toolbar.

  I am on a Lenovo E431 with 10 Windows and tried to reinstall the application and do not have this option.

  I have a problem with my USB ports, they where working fine but all of a sudden they start gives me error that unrecognized usb device. I tried to reinstall XP but still the same.

  Can someone give my solution to this problem?.

  You have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?
  I had a similar problem with the USB ports a few years ago. I removed the ports in Device Manager and reboot the laptop. The USB ports will recognize again.
  Furthermore, I reinstalled the latest chipset driver and everything worked well.

• Lenovo companion opens no more

  I have Lenovo Yoga. It is quite new. Win 10 included. Now, for some reason or another companion of Lenovo is unbootable. It is said that there's a problem and you need to restart pc. But the reboot will not help. I also treid to re - install app companion, but which didn't help either... No idea what is the problem? And how workagain?

  I was able to install the Lenovo System Interface Foundation software. Somehow, it seems to solve the problem. Now it works again!

• G50 - 45 - problem with Blue Tooth and companion after upgrade Windows 10.

  I have improved this laptop a few days ago to the windows 10 64 bits.

  In general, everything is fine,

  There are 2 problems on the left:

  (1) Bluetooth does not work. It does not help to install the driver provided for Windows 10 on the site of the G50-45. I tried several times without success. Someone at - it an idea how to solve this problem?

  (2) Lenovo store Windows companion does not work. What should do?

  I tried your link, donloaded the software and everything has been installed.

  Still, Bluetooth does not work or worse: now components 3 Bluetooth which can be see in hidden devices aren't there anymore.

  I don't know what to do to get my bloetooth module work.

  I don't think that there is an application compatible iOS for the Lenovo phone Companion.
