  Yes, this extra GPU's in the UltraBay slot on the right side of the laptop.

  You will have to remove the DVD drive (if it is then installed in the Ultrabay slot) and put in the GPU SLI. Replacement is very easy, there are buttons on the back of the laptop to free housing Ultrabay. You then need to configure the GPU in the NVidia settings. You can read other threads here related to the (probably also need update BIOS, not sure)

  Also, don't forget to buy the 170W power adapter, if you buy any other model of Y510p other than SLI pre-installed.

• Games Y510p problem

  So, I recently bought a new laptop from Y510p with an I7 processor 8 GB of ram and TG 755 m SLI. I have a problem when it comes to games with her.   Okay, it looks like your GPU drivers are definitely break. What you need to do is a new GPU driver installation. My recommendation would be-

  (1) turn off your laptop. Turn off all power including battery.
  (2) remove the ultrabay GPU and then start it.
  (3) Once restarted, Intel drivers should settle automatically.
  4) go to the control panel > Device Manager > display and uninstall the GT755 GPU.
  (5) then go to control panel > programs and features and uninstall everything related to NVIDIA.
  (6) now reboot the system.
  (7) for the reboot, your system should try to install the GT755 drivers automatically (may take 5 min and the screen may be black).
  (8) IF this isn't the case, then download and manually install NVIDIA drivers on their website. (There is a known issue with their HD Audio drivers, so I recommend a custom installation and deselect these drivers)
  (9) after installing the drivers, play a game and make sure that everything is smooth.
  (10) now, shut down the system, remove all the power supply and the battery and reinsert the ultrabay GPU.
  (11) to start the system, your ultrabay GPU drivers should be installed automatically.

• New Ideapad Y510p crashes/completely off when the games

  I've had the laptop since last Friday. I have updated drivers to date and have been installing some games on the device.

  I was installing a ton of games for two days while I'm at school (download speeds a lot of steam and origin) and have had problems when I try to run such games.

  The laptop has a with the TG 755 M SLI configuration. I noticed that when I tried to play these time on the laptop that I had pretty poor luck. Games seems to crash with frequency, with only a few different times I thought shrank down to active SLI or Anti-Aliasing, but after he crashed a few minutes there shortly after entering a Team Fortress 2 server, now, I don't think that this is the case.

  What could cause this? I have the battery removed right now, since it is charged close and seems unnecessary for me to leave it while I use the adapter to 170W. This could be a problem where the adapter is not a sufficient diet and take more power?

  I don't think that heat or something like that could be the cause because there is no global warming and the system powers back up very well. I'll try again to play a few games that crashed immediately (BF3) and see if that changes anything. I love the laptop in the case and really hope that it is not and the indicator of a more serious issues.

  Rolled back the drivers and all works perfectly now. Guess I'll have to uninstall all nvidia things until I can get the updated display driver.

• Y510P issue of parameters power (SLI GT 755 m)

  The other day, I tried to play then on the battery and got terrible frame rates. I got the power settings on maximum Performance. Are there any other settings that I'm missing?

  Hi Phil,

  Computers portable high performance are not able to play on the battery. You see, between the processor 47w and even one 755 m to 50w, you look around 120w. Batteries are not capable of producing enough electricity for the game while on battery. If you want to game on battery, I recommend using the hd4600 pulling on the gpu bay ultra.

  Background

  About a year ago, I bought my Y510p. Initially the laptop seems to work well, but it took me two months to see that the enclosed second of 755M SLI card was not recognized by the system and so I realized that I had played a 755 in two months. So, after some searching on Google, I managed to activate the video card in the execution of a .bat from the lenovo Web site.

  The problem

  A few months later, I contacted a friend of mine who also bought the same laptop to play BF3 together. I asked him what he played on the settings and he said he's playing on high graphics with 50 to 60 fps. I was completely shocked, since my laptop couldn't do 50 over low heat. I went back to google and discovered others could play much much better too, I had been googling and reach your forums and others to find a solution, without result. So I decided to ingnore the problem.

  A little later I started to play Watch dogs, I had payd full price for her just know my pc can run only 18 fps on the graph low. But, I thought it was just because of the game given that more people have problems with it.

  But, recently, I checked a few gameplay videos of this laptop on youtube with the Watch dogs running game and apparently you can play with about 50 on parameters of dogs the average watch, is certainly not the case with my product!

  After a while when I'm done with all that stuff, I decided to play a little less demanding game: cs. After playing for a few weeks, I've noticed that a lot of stuttering and crashing and Yes... even once, I had to google for hours still know that SLI was causing errors and as soon as I had turned off the game ran perfectly, but only on the smaller settings.

  Yesterday, I bought a new game: dying light. Once I started, I immediately noticed that I had to scale all the graphs down to the lowest resulotions with all sorts of effects or disable setting the lowest. The game was so extremely small scale that I became extremely nauseous after playing for an hour.

  Now, these are just a few examples to give you a true vision of the problem occurring, but you may have already figured out, it wasn't just these games, the laptop was in trouble with. I also had problems, play such games of chivalry, Far cry 4, Minecraft, Saints Row, as they could only be played with 20 frames per second on the chart and the lower resolution.

  What I've tried

  Last year, I tried a whole bunch of those given the solutions I could find on the internet. These are the things I've already tried:

  -J' I updated my drivers

  -J' I reset the laptop factory and everything reinstalled about 3 times.

  -J' was playing with SLI profiles to see if this would result in anything

  -J' I re inserted the ultrabay

  -J' did regcleans and made sure I had no virus

  -J' tried a few gameboosters

  -J' checked the Task Manager to see that there is nothing wrong with the use of my material, GPU unfold to 3% by default when not gambling and the use of memory at that time is 30%.

  -J' have also checked what drivers I am using and checked if I could make some settings in the settings 3D, without result.

  Note that SLI is enabled and according to Nvidia controlpanel works perfectly.

  Also note that the laptop is set to performance max and the downclockin when not on AC and back to 100% synchronization when on AC seems to work perfectly.

  What I could try

  I might try communicating with my friends friend and ask him to run a backup and load this backup on my computer to see if the results can be different, or I could sell just the laptop.

  I have NO IDEA what I have to do on the side to see if it fixes something, this problem has been haunting me since I bought the laptop. Is there someone who can help out me?

  -Very well, so I don't know what I did, but installed a whole bunch of new pilots, charged that some tests and things seem better run now, otherwise I will probably notice in the future. Thanks for your help anyway and coming to your questions: Yes, both cards were at work.

  Its price is good and the components aren't bad at all. However I will modernize the RAM and the HARD drive for a fee. Maybe the CPU later.

  The largest study in the present case however is obviously the ability to run 2 x GT 755 M graphics cards in SLI. Comparable this portable computer option (with the SLI). Becomes a very powerful, but very good machine market.

  Lenovo has reported that the Ultrabay cards are no longer available and have been abandoned. The initial price of the card was $249, so your option to buy a card may only on eBay or the portable version SLI.

  I guess if you decided to buy one month before, you would have been able to buy the Ultrabay card.

• Lenovo Y510P SLI freezing after 3 minutes

  so I update the drivers from nvidia. Had the same problem you second card shows up with error code 43. Driver problems, that's what I got when I was looking for.

  Apart from that, I have updated the OS to win 8.1 Overview. Don't, don't. NVIDIA does not have SLI drivers for it. If I ever go back to any return to a system restore. driver nVidia 311.41 version is the version that works right now with SLI.

  See if you can return to 311.41. This is the version that works for me. And I intend to keep it like that and not be updated.

• Problems with SLI on Y510P

  I have a problem with my Ideapad Y510P.

  It is said in the control panel Nvidia SLI is enabled. When I use it for intensive play however there is no load on the second GPU. It simply says that the GPU load is 0% on the secondary GPU and almost 99% on the main GPU. Im running the latest version of the driver (332.21) and I have updated the VBIOS mentioned in other discussions. Well, everything should work according to the NVIDIA software.

  I hope there is a fix for this already or that a person can look at the issue.

• y510p issue replacement of hard drives (no SLi)

  I would like to replace the hard drives on my y510p and bought a 1 TB HGST 7200 RPM for the essential and crucial m500 240 GB 2.5 SSD to replace the 24 GB SSD that is already there.

  Now around reading it seems that I won't be able to do it easily? I absolutely do get a HARD drive caddy and remove the DVD optical drive to use this SSD?

  I do not work for Lenovo, but I suggest you head to your retailer local or ebay or Amazon for the Ultrabay card. Don't worry, the map is very expensive everywhere. My suggestion would be to use this laptop for a couple of years and then buy a better with simple graphics.

  Only GT755M is powerful enough to give you the big game high heat for the next two years. So, it's not completely lack of Lenovo, you must have bought a laptop with 2 cards if you like that, or ordered the card 2 months ago. The card was not available for about 1 month now (on the Web of Lenovo U.S. website). I'm sorry that you did not find free map of Lenovo.

  so, I now own (soon) the idea of a y510p pad and my plans where upgrade them to windows 8.1 since its average a lot and I have much better than 8.   Time to boot to win 8.1 not good

  Fan - there is none. Fans of racing to 55% max.
  Ventilation - fans cpu and gpu are blocked by unnecessary plastic
  SSD - is garbage complete, boot times are horrible.
  Touchpad - stupid, irritating at first.
